Really not happy with this place, if I could give 0 stars I would. The food is really good, not going to deny that. But to me that means nothing for a local business if they have horrible customer service. My husband and I have basically been turned away twice. They close at 9, I think the first time we walked in late it was closer to around 8:30 maybe, they said takeout only, even though we knew what we wanted and could have been in and out quick. We got the takeout but I wasn't happy about how they couldn't even welcome us or say anything besides "you can't sit down and we won't serve you." Went in again tonight AN HOUR before they close. I get the same thing every time, it will not take us an hour to eat! I understand they don't want to work late but why do you close at 9 if you can't give me good service at 8? read more

Came here for lunch with a coworker and had an excellent experience! Our server was very helpful and attentive, and the food was fantastic! The food I had was on par with My Thai Kitchen, which is my favorite Thai place in town. Thai Village is very authentic and flavorful. That being said their spices are much spicier than other thai restaurants. I'm kind of a weenie when it comes to spice, so I usually order mild. The Thai Village mild was a bit more spicy than I'm used to (my nose was running). But no worries, I can handle the heat :) That didn't ruin the food for me at all. My wife and I tried the restaurant for the first time yesterday and agreed that it was the BEST thai food in this region. The service was great, the team was friendly and we were excited! I came back today to get take out and was HORRIFIED by the scene I witnessed from one of their employees. A patient woman holding a child ordered a lunch special via take out. She called at 2:53 which was 3 minutes after the cut off. When she arrived, a young employee argued with her in front of other customers about how she couldn't get the lunch price because it was policy. One of the other employees went to give her the lunch special price and the young cocky employee said to his co-worker "Stay out of this, you work for me." When I heard all of this, I was disgusted at how little respect this kid had for his fellow co-workers and for the customers that pay his salary! To be clear, the food is AMAZING however this unprofessional scene created by the young employee is unacceptable. It would seem that perhaps this kid is related to the owner by the way he was talking and exerting his importance. We really hope this is not the case! We do not support this type of behavior and will not be back! We will miss your food!!!!! read more

This place is 50/50 in regards to consistent taste. I don't believe the cooks are Thai based on how they cook and Thai isn't spoken between the crew. I've ate it multiple times because its close to my office, but now that other Thai restaurants have opened up nearby I don't bother coming back to this one. The service is great tho. read more

Ordered the kow pad kaprow fried rice for take out. Only waited a few minutes, the kitchen was extremely fast. The food was delicious, would eat here again. This place beats any other Thai food place in Tulsa. With the demise of Thai Chef at 31st/Mingo, and Thai Siam having varying quality these days, Tulsa's Thai food options have been pretty limited. You'll get dishes at Thai Village that have an aromatic and fragrance that good Thai spices should offer, (and which is curiously missing from Lanna). Their menu isn't overly large, and has a variety of "Thai-similar" dishes. There are a few standards you'll notice which could be considered authentic. I would disagree that it is more like Chinese food. It's Thai, but it's more like going to a bar and finding Coors, Coors Light, Bud, Bud Light and Michelob. Thai Village has the big-name dishes, but you won't find anything rare or out of the ordinary on their menu. The 5 times I've eaten here, the food has been extremely consistent and the service fast and friendly. I've had the Tom Kha soup (Tom Kha Gai for chicken), and it's not my favorite place for this popular soup. It was too tangy. I prefer Thai Siam's variation, which truly is more like you'd find in Thailand. But I like the curries and more aromatic dishes at Thai Village. A bit of a warning, if you're used to the spice level of Americanized Thai places like Lanna, and say "Medium" you may get your meal a bit hotter than you're accustomed. They told me they grown their own peppers. Try the curries, or the dishes with more aromatic spicing (ginger, etc). You'll find a brightness to them we are missing at other Tulsa Thai restaurants. Having visited a variety of places in Thailand, both big city and rural, I can tell you each restaurant can have their own different interpretation of the same dish. For example, Tom Kha Gai will always have coconut milk, chicken, galangel and kaffir. Otherwise, it may or may not have a range of other things, or differ wildly in ratios. Given this, at least with the well-known Thai dishes (Pad Thai, Red Curry, Khao Phat) are fairly representative. As I mentioned, Thai Siam when it's having a good day is the only other Tulsa restaurant I'd say that about. I hear there's a new place in Broken Arrow (not Cookie's) that is good, but I have not found it. read more

Wow, the food and service are great! We had the Tom Yum soup and Pa-Nang curry. Both were very hot when they were served, had to wait a few minutes longer than normal to let it cool down, but the wait was worth it. I will definitely be back to this place. read more

Tom yum was delicious. Panang curry was really really good. Fresh rolls were pretty good, but the dipping sauces were not too much to my liking. Princess shrimp not my kind of taste... Bad experience with yesterday's takeout... Young lady was indifferent/ rude on phone and during transaction... 7 of their 13 tables not bused (no effort to clean them the entire 12 min I waited)... Couldn't help but notice all the Pepsi "cans" on occupied tables... A gentleman came in sat down at the only available clean table and waited at least 3min for greet, another 5 for order taken... As for the 3 lunch Chicken Pad Thai Currys... Portions were very inconsistent... Very little chicken... Noodle to onion ratio was off (majority onions)... No nuts on top... Crab cheese were still good... This place has always been great and has deserved a good rating however no this time! read more

I'm a tulsa native and traveller. I've eaten thai food all over as well as all over tulsa. The reviews look decent. If you've not eaten very much thai food you may really like it. I did not like it that much. The vegetable choice for the curries was mostly eggplant. Never seen that before. The restaurant was a little run down. I would recommend Lanna Thai or Bamboo Thai Bistro in Tulsa. This is a lame choice. read more

This place is wonderful! A combination of authentic Thai food and some Americanized Thai dishes, I promise you'll find something you like. The lunch specials are huge portions with flavorful sauces with your level of heat. Medium heat level was enough for me, and I imagine that the hot level is tongue-searing. I also highly recommend the chicken satay appetizer... Very flavorful, tender and delicious! The interior is not that impressive... Very unique and zesty lime additional to their finish; I was informed that it was tradition to Michigan style homemade pad thai, and the friend who went me (who also happened to be from Michigan) confirmed this taste. The other dish was a pad Thai curry that was way too watery, bland, and missing that good curry taste. We walked in at 5:30 and a manager was on a booth laying down snoring... The food was great... till I found two long pieces of grey hair in my food. I brought it up to the manager (after they woke him up) and he argued with me that it wasn't any of the cooks hair, I said I refused to pay for my meal as I was disgusted and he continued to argue with me- our waitress even said I wouldn't pay for it either - the manager was rude (maybe he was woken up from his nap in the restaurant booth) I will never go here again and I plan on calling the health department! Went there with my bestie right before we went shopping at the mall which is about a block down. Its pretty great. The atmosphere is fancy, nice, welcoming and just everything you need when you are eating. Service was great. He was really nice and had a great presentation when presenting us with the food. Spice is good, if you like spicy food like I do, ask for "Hot" or maybe a little more. We had the Pad Thai and the Pad Eggplant. I was used to seeing the eggplant like they are made at Bamboo Thai Bistro (battered and fried) so I didn't notice the eggplants for a while. But they aren't battered and fried, they're simply cut and cooked into the dish. So I guess you could mistaken them for meat. My only problem? It is so far from my house, but that shouldn't be a problem for everyone. Everyone should go and enjoy! read more

The food is always excellent but management is unskilled in quality customer service. I wont go back because of a recent experience. Trustfully, change will happen and others dont experience rude, argumentative management communication. I called in to order and was told lunch time cut off was 2:50pm but when i pulled up the window decal said 3pm. Im an advocate of change and doing what's best for business overall but when change is not throughough in writing i have an issue with that. I also called at 2:53pm to finally place the order and management said they would not honor it. So when i went in to pick up my food i was upset mainly because of the window time was different than what i was told on the phone. When I inquired about it argumentivr response is all i got even though i was ready to pay either price. On top of that they continued to be loud, snobby and argumentive with my 1 year old son present and another patron. Just straight disrespectful. read more

Worst Thai food I've ever eaten; my sisters agree. I've eaten Thai food from San Francisco to London, England, and points in between, and I've never experienced such unappetizing Thai food. We actually ordered our food to go, and when we got home, half the order was wrong, and we ended up driving 12 miles back to return it and get a partial refund. I will say that we chose Thai Village based on the reviews we read. Live and learn. I'm happy to let everyone else enjoy the food; my sisters and I will NOT return. Spent the night at the hotel across the street. Was looking forward to coming here. I read all the good reviews and the lone negative review, so I thought it was safe that it would be good. Even the girls in the hotel said it was good. I'm sorry I discounted the negative review as this was a terrible meal. I love Thai food. I ordered what I usually order. I forget the name on the menu but it was the equivalent to the "spicy chicken basil." I was immediately concerned when the food arrived no more than 3 minutes after I ordered it. I didn't even taste it and looked at my friend and said "that's interesting, this can't be good." Well it wasn't. The chicken in the dish was old, tough, and had that mildly spoiled taste. When was this cooked? I know it wasn't fresh, and I know it wasn't cooked just then. How freaking long does it take to stir fry chicken? It was 6pm on a Friday evening. There was only one person in there when we got there. My friend ordered the pepper steak but substituted the chicken for steak. Bad move, he got the same nasty spoiled tasting chicken. The dish had some green onions and lots of red and green peppers in it. The pepper pieces looked like they were also cooked at lunch time. The rice was fine, and the sauce was tasty. But even the basil didn't taste quite right. If the chicken weren't old tasting, and it was cooked fresh to order I would have liked it. But there was no excuse for this. I did manage to eat the rice and the peppers, but only two bites of the chicken and I was done. As far as the service...I don't know who the waiter was...he could have been the owner by the way I heard him carrying on the whole time.
