There advertising works -they had a sign out telling you about the watermelon salad and we did a full lap of the street and came back for that! It did not disappoint. The watermelon was perfect and the pecans were nice and crunchy My husband got lemon pepper wings and they were great too. The celery was trash but everything else was on point! We sat in the patio and there were fans and fly fans on each table. Even though it was a warm day, the patio was great!

No wait for seating, the restaurant was very clean and all the employees stay very busy. Our waitress was attentive, the burgers and fries were good!

First time in Fredericksburg! My hubby and I walked the strip and worked up an appetite so we stopped into a burger joint along the main drag. We did have to wait in line outside a bit. It was lunchtime on a Sunday so that's understandable. We were able to sit outside under the heat lamps which we appreciated because it was a bit cold outside. Once seated, we ordered a burger with no veggies on top, just meat and cheese. And I ordered an appetizer bowl of chili cheese queso and chips. It took about 25 minutes to receive our food which seemed awhile considering the place wasn't very packed, there were empty tables everywhere and I ordered an appetizer not a main dish. But once I started eating my queso, oh my goodness! I fell in love. You never know if places will get queso right but this place did. There were chunks of beef and beans from the chili which made this feel more than an appetizer. However, my husbands burger came out with all the veggies on it. We didn't say anything to our waitress. Just took off the toppings. He said his meal was good but nothing eventful. He's had better. I actually loved my bowl of queso so much I asked if I could have another order of just the queso but not chips because I still had plenty. Our waitress then proceeded to come out with a condiment size queso and I was confused. It came not in a bowl but in those tiny cups you put ketchup or ranch in. I called her back to say I wanted the same bowl of queso just no chips. She apologized and came back with a bowl of queso but there was no chili in it like my original bowl. So I asked my hubby to explain to her I want the same exact thing I first ordered, just no chips because I hadn't eaten them all. She then came back with chili to add to it thankfully. But it took 3 asks to get the chili queso again. (As you can see in the photos) There was obviously a lot of confusion on her part which I had the grace time and patience before but I don't think others would have been so kind. All in all, I'd for sure come back for that chili queso. But maybe next time I'll order two bowls to begin with;)

We were seated at a dirty table during slower hours but it was promptly fixed. I have to start my post by warning you that the serving sizes are HIGE! Kid menu is available. Burgers are double patty and all come with French fries.

The chicken tacos were so good and they hooked it up!

Burgers, tacos and great staff....yes please! I came in on a slower Monday and had a total blast. I sat at the bar and tried the chicken tacos. The size and flavor of these babies were Texas sized. That cilantro type sauce on-top was something I would buy in a bottle to take for at home use. The selection of the food and drinks here was very impressive. Especially, since I like a lot of hard to find espresso type drinks. The lady helping me was named Tammy, I believe, and she made me feel right at home. She was fast and friendly and one of those I can tell is passionate about what she does. The patrons also were very welcoming and I was able to have a conversation about the flooding and missing people with a lady who came from that area of Kerrville. This will most likely become a go-to spot for me. I hope to come back soon and check out their beautiful patio area that has a great view of the action on Main street, as well as a burger and some desserts.

Blake greeted me and he was very friendly. I sat at the bar and ordered a burger and fries, chicken wings, and onion rings. They had one cook, and he was pretty cool. This was definitely a "locals" bar, but the staff made me feel comfortable. The food took a while to come out, but when it did, it was fresh and hot. Everything tasted ok, but the burger and onion rings, which had been recommended by the bartender, were really good. The bar was well stocked, and the beer was cold. They had plenty of patio seating, and they host live music. The bar area and the bathrooms are in need of some TLC. Parking on Main Street can be a challenge. I went the next day to have a burger and onion rings, but they were out of onion rings. I settled for seasoned fries, which were ok.

Our server was friendly, but there were a few communication hiccups throughout the meal. We were served bottled water without being told there was a charge, which caught us off guard since most nearby restaurants offer complimentary water. The server also offered chips and salsa as we were handed menus, so it sounded like a complimentary starter, but it's actually $10 on the menu. After waiting about 40 minutes, we decided to cancel the order (which turned out hadn't been entered anyway). Service was pleasant but inconsistent. One of our friends arrived a few minutes after us and ordered coffee right away, but her cup didn't come out until well after ours, and when it did, the cup wasn't very clean. Also worth noting that gratuity is automatically added for parties of six or more, and they don't split checks. We accidentally double-tipped, but the manager was kind and quickly resolved it. On the plus side, the space is casual, dog-friendly, and has plenty of shaded outdoor seating. The food was the highlight. My Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich was flavorful with crispy fries, my husband's Hideaway Burger was cooked well, and our friend's Chicken & Waffles were tasty, though a bit heavy on the waffle and light on the chicken. Overall, the food and atmosphere were good, but the lack of transparency around pricing and a few service missteps made the experience less smooth than it could've been. Decent spot, but I'd probably try somewhere else next time.

We had Kristen as our server, she was so attentive and sweet. To start we tried the sweet cornbread, lavender mint lemonade, and regular lemonade. The lavender mint lemonade was one of the best drinks I've had in a while. For our meals he had the BLTA with fries and I had the avocado and lime salad with tri tip steak. Absolutely stellar food, quality ingredients and great flavors. We had leftovers for sure, lol, something to eat on the drive back to DFW the next day. For dinner, we sat outside and had Jess as our server. She was also really nice, she had quite a few tables and still managed to give us plenty of attention. We had carnitas nachos and the ground beef soup. The carnitas nachos are... unnecessarily large. lol Luckily the soup bowl was very small so I was able to help the boyfriend with some nachos. But my small effort was not enough and he tapped out of the nachos at the halfway mark. Highly recommend the nachos if you have four friends with you. =D This was a great restaurant with a lovely outdoor space. If we lived in Fredericksburg, I could easily see us making this a monthly hang out on Friday nights. If you have the chance, make sure to get in with Kristen or Jess, you won't be disappointed.

Unfortunately, this experience felt less like a restaurant opening and more like a dress rehearsal no one stopped. First problem: location confusion. We went to what turned out to be their second spot--which, crucially, was not called Nurys on the sign. Same ownership, new space, old identity crisis. Walking in felt like entering a building that hadn't yet decided what it wanted to be when it grew up. The lingering aroma? A strange duet of fish, antiseptic, and industrial cleaning agents. Not hunger-inducing. More "urgent care with a fryer." There was no one there, which made sense--it was between brunch and lunch--but somehow the wait for food felt disproportionately long for what arrived. What arrived, sadly, was mediocrity wearing a Tex-Mex costume. They seemed to be aiming for Tex-Mex but landed somewhere closer to Tex-Flex--stretching flavors thin until they snapped. The barbacoa was fatty in a way that suggested less "slow-cooked tradition" and more "glistening regret." It didn't taste authentic, or even especially intentional. Just heavy. The guacamole--perhaps the most unforgivable offense--was bad. Guacamole is avocados, salt, lime, and love. That's it. This had none of the above. The waitstaff wasn't rude, exactly--just possessed by the clear energy of people who would prefer you to finish quickly so they could resume their real lives. Hospitality should feel like an invitation, not a countdown. Now, maybe the original Nurys is wonderful. I hope it is. But if that's the case, why open a second location only to phone it in? Expansion should mean excellence multiplied, not care divided. There are too many good places in Fredericksburg doing things right to settle for something half-hearted. This one wasn't terrible--it was worse. It was forgettable. And that's the real disappointment.

After a brief wait, we were greeted by our waiter and he took our drinks. In good time the waiter was back with drinks and he took our order. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelette. It came with potatoes and toast. The wife ordered the plate with eggs over easy, crispy bacon, and potatoes. The wife and I sat and had a nice visit. We should not have drank our drinks so fast, as they stayed empty the entire time we visited. Our waiter not once made eye contact so we could get a refill either. After an average wait time, our food came. Our waiter noticed the drinks and then refilled them. My omelette was undercooked and watery, the cheese was not melted, and the bacon was chewy. Furthermore, the toast was also very dry. I would have gotten butter to put on them, but the waiter never came back to check on us. The wife's eggs were cooked over hard, the bacon was rubbery, and very underwhelming. Our drinks went empty and we never got refills, again. We paid the bill and went shopping. I was glad to get out of there. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, but I think they missed the mark here. ChatGPT did me dirty on this one. I don't know if they just were having a bad day, or what the deal was, but this was a one and done for me. I cannot say I recommend this one. I was very disappointed.

Our waitress, Scarlett, greeted us immediately and brought out water and bread with butter while we looked over the menu. And let me just say... the butter. OMG. Apparently it's the chef's secret recipe (and he won't share), but it's made with pecans and is honestly one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. It's legit like ice cream. I initially tried to order a specific Cabernet Sauvignon that was unfortunately out, but chose another option instead, a Napa Valley Cab I believe from Groth Winerty, and it was absolutely delicious. Rich and robust. For appetizers, we ordered the Enchanted Mushroom, which had an incredible smoky flavor and was outstanding, along with the beef tartare, which was also excellent. Both appetizers were generously portioned and very satisfying. My pics make it look smaller than it was because I had to hold the camera back for portrait mode. We also ordered the truffle mac and cheese, which was rich, comforting, and had the perfect amount of truffle. Flavorful without being overpowering. For our entrées, I had the chicken fried steak and my husband ordered the filet. His filet came out cooked exactly as requested- rare to medium-rare- and was perfect. My chicken fried steak was cooked beautifully, though I will say the breading on top was a bit over-salted. And I love salt, but even for me it was a bit much. Aside from that, the dish was very well prepared. We finished by sharing the butterscotch crème brûlée, which was absolutely incredible. Deliciousness in every single bite. Scarlett was fantastic throughout the entire meal, striking the perfect balance of attentiveness without hovering. Overall, this place is awesome, and we will definitely be back!
