This was my first time visiting That Bar At The Arena. I stopped by before a Jacksonville Icemen game. As the only bar nearby the arena, they were popular! The bar staff were very friendly and prompt to ask what I'd like to order. The queue for food was LONG, however even that staff was patient and composed. I was overall impressed how professional and friendly everyone was. I was with a large group and we sat outside where they had ample seating and tables. The weather was perfect to be outside. I'll definitely make That Bar a pre-game stop the next time I'm coming to the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

What a cool & fun bar to have some refreshing beverages during the Summer of '23 Blaze! Large crowd filled the interior and some in the outdoor patio. Great sports energy emanated throughout amongst its patrons. Bar staff were friendly and professional. Shoutout to bartender Debrah for being so gracious and sweet to my family and I on our first visit to this great establishment. One of my new fav NA brews - Guiness beer was available to enjoy. Served nice and cold and I drank it like a cool milkshake! Didn't have the opportunity to try their food but next visit I sure will! The food platters being served looked amazingly good. Cheers/Nostrovia/Salud to everyone at That Bar At The Arena...See y'all again!

Fun place to go before and after a game or concert..fun bartenders and crowd. Had a pineapple jalapeno margarita that was suuuuperb.. Oh....you CAN walk all the way to Dailys Place or Everbank with that tasty beverage which is a plus! Bar food is good..had Philly..not bad. Will keep coming back!

Bad light placement. Needs to be higher.

We went there before an Iceman's game. The food was awful: Chicken fingers, chicken quesadilla, and a cheeseburger. $10 a beer.

String Sports Brewery is, at first glance, a brewery. But spend a few minutes inside and you'll…read morerealize it's also a quiet tribute to basketball culture, local loyalty, and unexpectedly onion ring excellence. I arrived unaware of its history, but the owner's love for basketball is unmistakable, and the locals reflect that same devotion... not just to the sport, but to the space itself. There's an ease here, a sense that people aren't just passing through. I took a seat at the bar, did what one does in such environments, and ordered an IPA. It was solid... confident, balanced, exactly what you'd hope for. But then came the onion rings, which I ordered based on a subtle but unmistakable social cue: everyone else seemed to be eating them. Reader, they were correct. These were not mere onion rings. These were structurally sound, texturally precise, and philosophically complete. Large, fully cooked onions, no trace of that unpleasant raw bite, encased in a crisp, golden coating that somehow maintained its integrity from first bite to last. Crunchy, consistent, and deeply satisfying. Naturally, I paired them with blue cheese dressing because I'm from upstate New York, and that is not a preference, it is doctrine.

I arrived a little bit later than the rest of my group and they had already ordered several apps for the table. I did not come hungry this trip, so I just munched on the boiled peanuts. They were spectacular. The service was wonderful! The employees were all very engaged with the customers. And what a great place to watch the game! An abundance of TVs and what's better than hanging out with fellow jags fans?! Plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor options. And just a fun place to be. I'm officially a fan now and will for sure check this out on a more regular basis. No pics because I was too busy being blown away by the Jags performance today! Duuuuuvallllll

I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a full bar with liquor as well as all the bar taps. Tons of friendly staff to explain the lay of the land and how the self serve bar taps work. I liked how the taps were organized by type of beer and they always identified the local brews with "904" above the tap. Also liked the extra touches like offering chilled glasses and free soda refills. Didnt order any food, but most patrons did seem to be eating. Enjoyed the different seating options, including a more chill lounge experience with couches upstairs. Decent amount of tvs to watch sports. Bar tab seemed a little steep considering you serve yourself, but I get that is how they probably are able to have so many brews at one time. If I happen to be downtown I will for sure visit again!

Last night a group of friends and I came here to celebrate a birthday. Nothing big or fancy, just wanted a good time with good people, with plenty of food and drinks. - The Taps System - Upon using the tap systems, between my husband and I more than 4 taps we're emptied, but we were still charged 2oz - 4oz pours... even if nothing but foam came out. There was even one instance where my husband was charged for a 4oz pour before he even touched the handle. - The Food - My husband and I only ordered the chip duo (comes with queso and salsa). You can tell the salsa IS made fresh in house, but it was extremely sweet, almost like a ketchup sweet but not the same consistency. It really needed some extra seasoning blends in it. The queso was good. I enjoyed that, but nothing too special about it, but good. A friend of ours ordered a burger, and after waiting 20 minutes for it, he was told he never placed the order for it. He pulled his phone out, showed where his payment had gone through and order was submitted, and then come to find out, the kitchen so.ehow didn't receive the order or his ticket got lost in the process along the way... so he never got food. Frustrating. Another person at our table ordered a special made drink from the bar, and after waiting 20 minutes for it had to ask about it and what happened. Then a couple minutes later two came to the table, she let them know she only ordered one, so they took the second one they goofed on making. - Service - I forget her name. She said multiple times she was new and had only just started. Bright, bubbly, energetic, and full of charisma. She is the reason this isn't a 1 star TBH. She was an absolute delight and wonderful to have serving and assisting us. I wish I remember her name, but she had wavy/curly hair and a sunny little finesse to her we all enjoyed. She was your saving grace last night for all of us. I hate to say, but after the multiple mishaps, we probably won't return. The atmosphere and space are great and beautiful, but the many failures in different aspects really made it feel like it wasn't a one off thing. When we reviewed our receipt at home, we noticed that a lot of the overcharges from the empty taps were not removed, and in this economy, that really sucks.

Of course, the girls and I decided to try it out for girls' night and regretted our decision within two minutes of walking in. The times posted on the website are different from the times on the card we were given a few weeks back. All of that went out the window when I called to confirm which time was correct and was told that they "will be open in about 30 minutes." This was at 8 pm. We went in and found a table which was easy cause there were only three people in there and two of them worked there. We sat down, waiting to see if anyone was gonna come see if we wanted to order anything. Ten minutes later, after one of the girls got something brown on their hand from the table, we decided to leave. We did not order any food or drinks, so I can't speak on that. The ambiance did not make me feel comfortable enough to want to break bread there.
