We ordered take out tonight. Wings plain sauce on side, buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Sandwich was dry as a bone, stringy hardly bite it. Fries soggy, sitting in grease, cold. Threw it out. Wings had sauce on them not on side. Sauce to be on side to share. I called them. Explained issue. The girl went to talk to kitchen. Hung up on me while on hold. Apparently the chicken dries out as fried and fries are always greasy. Really. I've had lots chicken sandwiches and not dried out. A McChicken is moist lol. No offer to replace, refund. Great Atmosphere (bright open concept, good music) and delicious food! All workers kind, caring and quick to help. There is also a patio which is really nice in the summer. There are vegetarian/vegan options available and they are really accommodating with substitutions. I would definitely recommend That's My Spot to my friends and family! read more

Nice intimate casual restaurant! Even tho it's a small restaurant It's got multi-screen for sports fan! Nice bar area with extensive drafts and wine list! Had the cheesy garlic bread to share. I had the grilled fish taco as a main. It came in 3s with nicely grilled fish, fresh tomato salsa and this yummy cream sauce on the side! I asked for hot sauce to really give it a kick! Filling was just enough for the tacos to wrap nicely without being too messy! We also had the lobster salad which my friend couldn't stop raving abt! Yummy dressing! As well as spicy sausage bolognese! Delicious tomato sauce! The best part came the end with an in house made carrot cake! Layers of coconutty carrot cake separated by velvety cream cheese icing! SPECIALS ARE AMAZING! Not from the area, so when I looked on yelp for a place this stood out from the pictures. Sunday special $15 for wing and rib combo..came with 7 meaty bones and 4 big wings, fries and a beer (normally $18 when not on special) ..big portion and taste great. Their wings are way better than your average bar. Ribs were good, I would get this again. $22 with tax. Service was very fast and the waitress always checked on us / every table often. read more

If you're looking for cheap low quality food, this is your spot. The restaurant was tiny and packed. There were Lots of TVs with sports on them which was great. I ordered the jambalaya - they didn't take the tails off the shrimp, sausage was terrible, the sauce was like pure uncooked tomato paste on top of Minute rice. I never send my food back - today I did, completely inedible. My friend orders fish and chips - huge portion of fish but she said it was nothing special and also greasy. The fries are similar to the ones you get at Costco food court. Great drink specials tho. I will not be back unless it's a quick pint on the patio. read more

Very disappointed. Went for lunch with a friend yesterday. I ordered the pierogis for $9. Maybe 7 on the plate. Got to the 2nd last one and found a short black hair in the pierogis. Called the server over and she took the plate to the owner. He just offered me 10% off my meal. Seriously! I told the server that was unacceptable so she asked what I would suggest. I told her a reputable establishment would comp the meal. She came back and said he would take 25% off and nothing more. Needless to say that was my last visit! Do better That's My Spot! read more

Compared to the previous reviews, this place seems to be under new management. This was my first visit and this place has good food for value. I ordered the sweet chili chicken, which was a big enough portion. The place was busy, but the service was still good. Also the dessert for $6 was two pieces of a deep fried Mars bar, which was decadent and great for sharing with our group. The daily specials also seem to be a great deal. The menu is quite extensive and is very similar to the Courtyard in Courtice. read more

In town visiting family and came to this place twice. First visit was Sunday for breakfast and I have to say it was amazing. The food was so good and the price couldn't be beat. I got the breakfast special which included 3 eggs, toast, and yummy home fries for only $3, I added bacon for an extra $2. So for a $5 delicious breakfast you can't go wrong. My second visit was tonight after my nephews grade 8 graduation. There was a fairly large group of us, eight in total, and the place was a bit busy. But they accommodated us and again the food was great. There was a little miss communication with splitting up the bill, but the waitress took it in stride and worked it all out for us. Will definitely be returning when I am back in town. There was so much on the menu that I would like to try. read more

Moved here to bowmanville in November... we have tried many many many places... this is our favorite to date .. their fish tacos were AMAZING... not battered or deep fried... real white fish tacos.. best I've ever had.. cant wait to go back read more

Was craving some food with my wife during this crazy pandemic. She felt like steak and lobster and I felt like a nice burger and this turned out to be the perfect place. Even though we ordered through Uber ears, everything was absolutely perfect. The order was well cared for and packaged, whoever cooked it was very good at their job, and we were both completely satisfied. One of the best meals I've had in a while. Wifes Stuffed Yorkie was stuffed with beef so dry and overcooked/old it was like shoe leather. Owners did nothing. Took my pasta home for lunch the following day and found a clear piece of plastic in it. Yum! No thanks, good luck fellas. read more

The service on Wednesday was horrible. I went in midday to book a party of 12 for dinner later that day and was treated so badly. The place was not busy but the server had no time for me. I politely tried to make my arrangements for my group but she was so rude. So dismissive. She clearly does not have her company's best interest in mind !! She seemed to be getting upset with ME ! I finally said, after 20mins of waiting around and trying to get her attention, that I would like to book the group. She put her hand in front of my face and rolled her wrist around impatiently, and told me to hurry up. It was so insulting. My happy plans to book a dinner group for the evening turned into utter exasperation. I gave up, told her she was to hard to deal with and rude, and that I had run out of time. She didn't even ask for my phone number to have someone followup with me ....assuming she was too busy to help, which she was not. She just scared me off, for good. Needless to say, I took my group party elsewhere for dinner. This restaurant is near empty most of the time, and now I know why! I have since shared my story with my Bowmanville friends and learned this is not an uncommon experience. Most are not surprised and say that the female servers there are stuck up and unprofessional. However when you get the menu and after you try and order your told that all the daily specials at the front of the menu are not going to be part of the menu WTF.Then there is the chicken wings. Why they let your order a flavor is beyond me, the amount of sauce on the wings was like the had a empty bottle of somthing and tried to spread it out over a pound of wings. Now we come to the steak. Don't bother thinking your going to have it cooked how you like. Apparently medium means dried out shoe leather. Steak well done? Might as well have burnt it. Ambience is nice. We went for date night. Owner served my husband the pork cutlet which was overcooked and tough. The perogi were very good. My meat loaf and mash tasted like they were reheated in a microwave. Thd carrot cake was good. Would I go back...I'm not sure.
