Heard about this location off of TikTok had to come and try it out although it's a golf course it is very peaceful and welcoming the food. OMG Christian the chef is amazing. He cooks with so much love. It's like a homemade meal even though we literally just had breakfast food. The pancakes were thick and fluffy bacon, nice and crispy eggs fluffy top notch on the food Kim our bartender was amazing friendly attentive talkative and makes a really stiff drink. We cannot wait to come back and enjoy more of the ambience more of the environment and more of the food and drinks thank you to Christian and Kim for making our first time a very memorable and pleasant one.

This place is always lively on game nights, has the BEST munchies in town in my most humble opinion. Sylmar a very own unique little corner here has a lot to give to the community offering a great place to eat with great and personal customer service, always open to adjust your order to your liking. The manger (Shaina) is one of the most amazing human beings with a heart for service (very rare to come by these days), whom is ALSO is one of THE BEST BARTENDERS IN THE VALLEY. Yes I said it, they have fun with their mixology. You can tell they are a purist of their craft and accentuates the prosperity in their leadership by giving back to community simply by just being themselves. A GREAT local joint. I'm glad we have them here in Sylmar, ShoutOuts to Shaina and Chef Uriel

I loved this place! It is such good place to relax and have a good quiet time. The food, the service, the ambience we enjoyed every bit of it. I highly recommend.

Great little place with nice staff and view of the golf course. Sort of a small town hole in the wall place with fun "regulars" coming in and out. Full bar with breakfast served until 2pm (except for the fame breakfast burrito which is served all day). Everyone was friendly and I liked my breakfast sandwich! Yelp contact number is wrong. I posted the correct one under "Tips."

We have been living in Sylmar for 5-6 years now and haven't been able to find a place with amazing breakfast burritos or patty melts. I am so glad we found this place. Not only is Uriel and Pedro amazing chefs and make great food but the bartenders shaina and zizi are so sweet and always take care of me and the family.

[Keepin' it Cas' in Sylmar] I've been going to another business for breakfast every day for quite some time now--to the point where it became borderline-embarrassing for me to even walk in anymore. To hide my shame, I needed to find a new spot that would serve me up a good, affordable breakfast, and of all places, a driving range seems to have accomplished just that. Conveniently located within El Cariso Park, The 19th Hole Restaurant offers diner-style breakfast (served all day), all the while you enjoy the views of both the driving range and park. I walk in, notice the primarily-elder demographic sitting by the bar (yes, there is a full bar here!), and head to the back area to grab me some breakfast. Fortunately, they sell breakfast burritos (only bacon, from what I know*), so I opted for one of those, along with a simple coffee. Sitting at the back bar's always neat, since you can have a nice conversation with the chef as they're making your food. Speaking of which, the man working there that day was a really cool dude, asking me if I needed just about anything--"Cream and sugar? " "Would you like me to cut the burrito in half?" "Need some salsa?" "Do you have napkins?" "Want some water?" (Two minutes in) "Everything okay?" You name it! As for the burrito itself...quite a surprise. They don't skimp on the bacon, nor do they give you the cheap stuff, either. Thick, crisp, meaty goodness, all wrapped with the right balance of spud, cheese, and egg. That's all I ever look for in a breakfast burrito, but it's surprising to see how many places still fail to make one just right. If I could give one (very) minor complaint, it would be in regards to the tortilla, as I think they left it on the griddle for too long, causing it to toughen up. Also, they seem to only carry hot sauce (Tapatio and Tabasco, to be exact**), so if you're a fan of adding red or green Mexican salsa in your burrito, you might want to bring your own (which sounds ridiculous, but you'd be surprised how many people I've seen carry their own salsas into a business). In conclusion, I highly recommend this place--especially for the students attending Mission College nearby. They're open early and offer takeout, so feel free to call and order ahead of time to get that extra boost of energy before classes start. I probably don't need to tell the golf enthusiasts out there, but if you're unaware of this driving range, I would also throw out my recommendation for coming here, as El Cariso's one of the better parks that we have here in the valley. 4 stars speaks for itself, "I'm a fan." Perhaps my burrito will taste even BETTER on the next visit, or maybe I can try another item and see what else 19th Hole has to offer. (Is a restaurant still worth a 5-star rating if they happen to offer a few 3-star dishes? Food for thought.) That said, I'm very delighted to know that I can finally grab some breakfast somewhere else, and even walk it off at my local park. Definitely a hidden gem that I hope more people become aware of. Thank you for the pleasant surprise, 19th Hole. _____ UPDATE: I literally come back next day, just to get some further answers. * Apparently, they also offer HAM and SAUSAGE, you just have to make that request. ** They DO carry Mexican green salsa, so just ask for some on the side. I ordered myself a bacon&sausage burrito the second time, and everything was spot-on. From the tortilla, to the sides, to the salsa, it's official: 19th Hole is my new go-to. I'm keeping everything from my previous review (minus the rating) the same, just for reference. For $4.49, you really can't complain. The next step is figuring out how well the other items on the menu fair...but I'll leave that to other Yelpers. (You'll understand my position once you try the burrito.)

Grilled chicken sandwich. And yes....that's SUPPOSED to be pepper jack cheese on it, although it tasted nothing like it.

It has American, Mexican and Ethiopian food, so there is something for everyone :) I started with the Sambusa with beef and really liked it! The waitress recommended us to eat it with salsa from their salsa bar and it paired perfectly. It was a little oily but great flavor regardless! I also got the Awaze tips with Injera and beef. The injera was a spongey tortilla/bread like carb that was covered with a beef/veggies mixture. We were able to adjust the spice level on this since the waitress warned us the dishes were very spicy but to be honest, it wasn't spicy at all and I would like to try the other dishes with spice next time. The Awaze tips dish was really good and pretty big portion. Excellent service and food! I would love to come back to try more.

As I waited for her to arrive from work on a blistering hot afternoon, I parked outside and watched a continuous flow of people coming in and out of the doors, taking lots of homemade goodies with them. Once my girl arrived, we walked inside and got a sense of what people were experiencing. A small establishment, with about a half dozen counter seats, you are immediately in front of a several large glass doors of fresh Mexican pastry, with several other fresh racks waiting to be stored. There are so many options to choose from, with prices ranging from 50 cents to $1.50. We decided to first order what we came for, which was the Carne Asada Torta. We spoke with the friendly gentleman at the counter who walked us through what was on the sandwiches, as well as how to grab some tongs and a plastic tray to snag some delicious treats for after lunch. While waiting for our sandwiches, my girlfriend and I grabbed several pastries and cookies for dessert. The restaurant was buzzing non-stop this Friday afternoon, with people of all ages coming in to load up on goodies for the day, and possibly the weekend. Within 10 minutes, our sandwiches were brought out to us. They looked amazing! I decided to keep all of the ingredients in tact: Carne Asada, Beans, Chili, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayonnaise, Avocado, Cheese. The bread was delicious: soft, fresh and a perfect vehicle to hold in all of the delicious ingredients. The asada is the star here. Absolutely tender, seasoned to perfection. The cheese is also top notch, with the other ingredients adding tons of flavor in each packed bite. Priced at just under $10 each, there aren't many options that compare in taste and value around. As for the pastries, my girlfriend and I shared a few cookies and pan dulce shortbreads in the car. Freshly baked, crumbling to the touch, these goodies were delicious and simple. Not too sweet, and great versions of traditional Mexican delights. The energy at this Sylmar restaurant is fast-paced, friendly and outstandingly delicious. Parking is good as there are several spots available in this strip-mall layout. No bathrooms as it is primarily a grab-and-go establishment. I'll be back to see what other affordable, homemade pastries are available to complement the next time I am craving a Carne Asada Torta from El Milagro. Check them out!
