    Bucket of beer!
    Shelly R.

I checked out the 3rd deck Burger Bar before a Fall River cruise on the Southern Belle, and I'm so glad I did! When I walked in, it was a sports bar feel with lots of couches and seating, TVs, and games. My husband I got the Chattanooga burger (which was delicious) and a bucket of 6 beers for only $20 (and we could bring it on the boat). The bartender, Shelly, was great (great name too, btw lol). Definitely a cool place to hang and eat or drink, and would return!

My family was in for a burger joint close to the aquarium. This place was just terrible. They have several games and which were fun, the foosball table was broke--my kids had fun regardless of picking up the balls from the floor each time someone scored. The main problem was the service. We ordered simple enough food (burger, two hot dogs and a kids grilled cheese). I had a few other family members with me and that ordered pretty much the same thing. The food came out sporadically and made no sense. People that ordered after us were getting there's before us, people were missing food around us (one family got a remade burger 2 different times and waited an hour and a half for an extra order of fries). I got my burger after about 30 minutes. The rest of the food didn't come out for an hour. An hour for two hot dogs and a grilled cheese. My other family had the same problem. That got their burgers and had to wait for the rest. When my sister in law tried to ask about the food the waitress cut her off and rudely said "Calm down. It's coming. We're obviously a little busy and have a small grill." For the record, there was only one other family in the restaurant when we arrived and ordered. Shouldn't you have a larger grill if you're a burger place? The burger was ok, the place was ok, the service was horrendous. Oh and there was a random vacuum cleaner unplugged in the middle of the floor with the extension cord strung across the room, left there the entire time we were there. Obviously someone saw it and didn't bother picking it up. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place.

This restaurant on the 3rd deck of a boat is known for their burgers. So, I got the burger and fries special for $9.99. I have been here several times as it is on the boat called pier 2. This is a perfect place to come and cool off from Riverbend. It is hidden gem of Riverbend because of this. Most people do not know that you can just walk on this boat to the 3rd deck and get a beer or two or a burger and fries. If you like, just go here and find a couch in front of a TV and rest up and cool off. A waitress will be on their way. You can also check out the outside as their is outside seating or just stand along the railings and take in the scenery. You can see other smaller boats too. They have happy hour daily from 2pm till 7pm where drinks are $1 off. menu items ordered: burger, fries, coke and a fat tire beer. The burger was great and tasted good and was big.

Coolest thing about this place besides the outside view....

This is an awesome place for a local to chill without a crowd and in the mood of not expecting to much. This is an awesome scene. The perfect set up for a 4 star chef and a couple good rotating mixologist, unfortunately just a set up. This owner has never attended a four star venue and if they have they care nothing of duplicating it. Again I love the scene, it has so much potential, BUT! The actual bar, was a huge let down....very under stocked, mostly what I call a tourist bar. Something you would expect at a decent holiday inn that serves liquor. The bartenders were nice guys. They tried. That means a lot, but with yelp I'm more honest than with my dog, and there is no more honest. Nick the bartender I almost tried to hire myself because he was trying to be so accommodating. He pretty much gave this place another star in my mind. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, it was good for a frozen sandwich on a decent bun, and still cold when I got it, keep in mind I haven't eaten in 36 hrs due to a virus, I should have fing loved every crumb naturally. It kinda reminded me of the time i had the munchies and I ordered a chicken sandwich from a Trailor at the county fair in south Alabama.....but the county fair one was better and I got sick off it. They had no Avion. From here on out if you call yourself a bar and you don't have the worlds best tequila two years running, you can not call yourself a bar, and you loose one star with me. They gave me a beer with no glass in a can, that's so freakin redneck, even for Chatt. I could go on for days, but I have closed my tab because they kept their baileys outside on the bar, Irish cofee not on the menu , lol , off to try new tmac.....hope I will be back when I want a cheap beer and I've got another 5 guys on my tab. Tab was 102.00 for four of us, not bad, but would have been a lot more if there was any selection or decent food. Hope they stay open long enough to be able to be something other than a tourist trap. Ask about renting it out for a party see as I do that every so awesome, they wanted 7500 a day....lol.....your can't rent pretty much any restaurant in town for less than 5k and they have actual out of college professional staffing. Of course this is probably why it's only been rented once, such a waste of cool space !

I had a bad experience. I don't want to say too much about it other than you should probably stick with beer.

Looks the part of an old style bar with well-worn wooden bar. Bartenders were friendly & attentive. I decided to try The Social Sour, which is basically a New York sour - a whiskey sour with a red wine float. It looks great & tasted great too but I wasn't absolutely sure it was actually red wine on top. In any case try that or the barkeep's old fashioned.

Wow! I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews stating how the bartenders are so…read morefriendly and accommodating. Sadly, as an individual customer, that was not my experience on a Thursday night. I arrived a little before 7pm and I was warmly greeted by Drew. I told her I was excited to dine here, specifically in the bar, based on reviewers comments. Her friendliness and positive attitude assured me I made the right decision. However, the bar area was not as inviting or welcoming as the evening progressed. My bartender was cordial and asked if I wanted a cocktail. I asked if this place makes a good Cosmopolitan. He said "Do you like it tart or sweet?" (Never been asked that before, but I appreciated the question.) I said "tart" and he made me the BEST Cosmopolitan I've had in a while! It was served half in a glass and the rest in a small decanter surrounded in a glass of ice. Great presentation and even better drink! Just a touch of pink and nice and strong. 5 star start! Then, it went downhill. I ordered the Wedge Salad ($9) and the Seared Scallops ($18), both under the "Starters, Small Plates" section. Both were very good, with excellent presentation. I should have realized the "Small Plates" would only provide a few scallops (3), but they were very well prepared and quite good. After I ordered and the food was provided, little customer service was given thereafter. I had to ask for water refills twice. (When I finally asked for my check, I got a refill without asking.) During this time, only one other customer was in the bar. The two bartenders were talking to another employee about a streaming finale one recently watched. Eventually, the second bartender came onto my side and I asked if I could order one more item from him since my bartender never came back. (The first bartender was Josh, which I discovered when I got the bill receipt.) The other bartender took my order for the Pot Roast Nachos (as I still somewhat hungry) and the Nachos were absolutely fantastic, just like the reviews recommended. At 8pm, I left as I was the only patron left in the bar (I wonder why?) and they were cleaning up even though closing was still an hour away. The bill for two cocktails and the food mentioned above came to $77. Then, $13 was added for Tennessee state/county tax and also liquor/wine tax!!! Was my meal and service worth $100, not really. As I left, I saw the personable Drew and she asked me how the evening went. I explained and she apologized that it did not meet my expectations. I said I just think I came on an off night. However, maybe she should tell management that if only one customer is left at the bar, you should treat them with the attention and respect as anyone who came in earlier. I don't feel I received the service I deserved for the price I paid so sadly, I can only provide a review based on this one time experience.

Can't recommend this cocktail bar enough!…read more We visited the bar late night while staying at the hotel and it did not disappoint. Despite clearly being short staffed and having a busy night - we were greeted almost immediately and encouraged to help ourselves to a seat. We sat at a table away from the bar (only one available) and a server came by to take our drink order. Before he could return, another employee - who was running food to another table - immediately came over to us after to see if we wanted to order food (which we did!). She took our order, then the drinks arrived and before we knew it the food was out and was incredible! The menu is quite limited - and even more so when you one of you doesn't eat meat - and yet we were able to make a meal out of 2 caesar salads, the hummus plate and the deviled eggs. And don't even get me started on the cocktails! We started with a Manhattan and an Espresso Martini that were perfectly crafted. And then for our dessert round switched to their signature Old Fashioned. Each one was better than the next! Thanks for an incredible time, Whiskey Thief. We will definitely we back!

At first, servers were scarce, but as I got up to go to the bar, the bartender must've seen me and was on his way. He took our initial drink order. At $14 per glass of wine, we just went for the bottle at $54 and a charcuterie board at $27. We are on vacation, so why not. The view is excellent. The weather cooperated. People watching from on high was fun, and the nature scenery was nice. Service was a little slow, but not an imposition, however, if it gets much busier, that could be a thing. We later learned they previously had a $10 cover, but we did not get asked for this and it must be a thing of the past, or I understand it is waived for guests of the Edwin Hotel (the bar's affiliated with the Edwin) but we had dinner reservations at Whitebird, the affiliated restaurant. The charcuterie was good with cheeses, cured meats, jams, crackers, etc. all in all, the star is the Al fresco seating and the River, and of course the company of my beautiful wife! So, go for outdoor seating and bring your own beau!

We tried a few beers from Five Wits and per her recommendation got the creamsicle shake as well. Solid beverage choices. The shake tasted part float part milkshake and it was absolutely delicious. Would order again. The food on the other hand was a bit eh. We ordered the Asian q burger and the mushroom melt burger and it took quite a while for them to come out and when they did they had unfortunately been left on the grill for way too long and were charred and crunchy. One set of our fries was cold and the bun to burger ratio was extremely off. Luckily, the staff agreed that our burgers were accidentally overcooked and they remade them no questions asked. The remade burgers were moist and better but still not fantastic. They were just burgers with minimal toppings on them. Not really seasoned and the flavor came from the toppings themselves. The buns were still too big for the burgers so there was a lot of extra bread and they have potential to be great but they were just average. Would have probably been a three star review but the staff and drink selection really earned the extra star. Would go back to drink and maybe snack but probably not order a burger.
