Anthony can be hard to get ahold of sometimes, but he does great work. I had dropped off my Mercedes 190D which had a compressor failure that Anthony diagnosed on a different visit. I assumed it would take a while to fix, so I didn't bother Anthony for a bit over a week. After playing phone tag for a bit, I was finally able to get in touch with him and get an update on the car. Overall it took about 3 weeks before I could get my car back, partially of which because Anthony had to send my compressor out to get rebuilt, and then after reassembly, the AC lines started leaking so he had to build new lines. Got the AC working great, and although a little pricey because of the R12, well worth the money. read more

Went there this morning to have some work on my car and the owner was very rude to me. I'm not sure what I did to deserve that kind of treatment, but I left. I will leave no specifics however the owner got up into my face for no reason because I was standing near a car and he didn't like it. He could've been nice to me, but he chose to be aggressive and rude. He then later lectured me about how it was wrong to stand there a car in the parking lot when this guy was doing testing and I was standing there before the guy was doing testing. It wasn't in the garage and he just decided he wanted to get in my face and like a punk. They have a lot of antique cars there and they do modifications on and so forth, but nobody needs to be lectured to. No one wants to have some owner get in their face about something when he could've been gentle and nice about it. It is very disappointing because I was referred to this company by another person Located in Orange County and I happen to meet one of his customers. It's a small world and it's too bad that this man doesn't understand that. He also asked about my wife and what she was doing being in another country. I thought that was very rude and none of his business. I don't know how this works with the Yelp, but I don't wanna hear back from this man. This shop specializes in older custom cars but they actual work on Everything . My 2014 Lexus F-Sport was blowing cool air out of the drivers side and warm air out of the passenger side vents. He was able to recalibrate the damper/actuators and install new freon. My AC works great now and I will recommend The Air Shop every change I get. It's my second time going The Air Shop. I have a nice 91 Mustang. It is very original, low miles, and well care for. He did my AC compressor two years ago. He worked with schedule and did a fantastic job. Today he replaced my heater core. Again, perfectly executed. Down to earth, family owned. You're not dealing with some huge corporate entity. Dropped my 68 Mustang today to have them finish installing my heater box with new core. Was able to get it out after much work. Tried getting it back in and decided to bring it to a shop. They do it all. Everything from modern cars to totally custom classics. I've used this shop three times. First time was in 2009 and again just today. I really appreciate that there is a nearby shop that has expertise in Vintage Air and classic cars. I've had them do a simple charge of a new system on my 68 Camaro to making custom line and hose ends. I recently had them make new hose ends to fit the compressor on my new engine. John worked with me and when he diagnosed a bad expansion valve he had no problem letting me take the car home to do that labor intensive job myself to save a few bucks. AC now works great and like I told John, I hope I don't see him anytime soon but if I need AC work again you can bet I will be back to this shop! read more

I went to The Air Shop because they handle R12 coolant. The AC on my 1974 BMW was working OK but not blowing as cold as it once was. John assured me that his $40. inspection and diagnosis would not change the working condition of my cars AC. When I picked up the car I discovered that the AC was not cooling at all. John suggested that I return and he would put in some more coolant, which I did. I left his shop again, this time the AC did work but stopped working within 10 minutes. He suggested that he perform a costly repair for it to work. Not only do I have an AC that does not work now (after his assurance that it would be working as good as it did before his inspection) but he wants me to have him repair what he broke at my expense! I would stay away from this business. read more

This place is great. The AC wasn't getting cold so I tried to add refrigerant to my AC lines and I ended up over-pressurizing the lines. The AC was bogging down when I turned it on so I figured I didn't want to mess it up any further than I had. I realized that the can had sealant in it and a lot of places wouldn't remove the sealant because they were concerned that it would damage their equipment. This guy at the Air Shop had all the latest equipment to properly evacuate sealant from those cans without damaging his equipment. He topped off my AC to the right level, and it was working great in no time. What this guy specializes in is building custom AC systems for classic cars (that didn't use to have ACs in them). He really seems to know his stuff. read more
