That said, I like to highlight when a company, even a corporate giant, and a specific location, do a good job. This Seguin Starbucks is decent enough for me to come back a few times a year. Coffee and tea are prepared the Starbucks way (on the sweeter side), but the baristas do a good job and their drinks are consistent. I particularly enjoy that I never have to wait very long for my order, whether I order in advance through the app or at the counter directly. This location recently updated its furniture and they now have nice wooden tables and chairs. When it's cold out, they ramp up the heat. Unfortunately, when it's hot outside, they set the A/C to arctic mode, so I never linger too long for fear of turning into an ice cube. I appreciate that Starbucks, in spite of all its shortcomings, tries to innovate by adding new seasonal drinks. They recently added protein drinks to their menu and while they don't yet have a vegan option, it's a step in the right direction. So overall a decent place. Starbucks doesn't hold a candle to an independent local coffee shop, but when those are closed for the night, big corpo is there to serve you. That counts for something, I suppose!

Placed our order and pulled up to the window. She made sure to inform hubby that the tip option was there so he had a choice to tip or not (I'll say I'm not too thrilled that Starbucks has implemented this at their stores. Especially stores that you don't have an option to select "no tip". Hubby DID leave a tip, and we waited about 3-4 minutes maybe for my son's frappe. When the lady brought it to the window, she said the barista had upgraded his drink for him. That was very kind (my guess is she made too much so had leftovers). Nobody else was in the drive thru (8pm), and seemed very quiet inside. Kiddo said the drink was "alright". Not sure if they have changed the way they make it, but he said it was drinkable ‍

Hubby ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and 1 hot cake. Warning, they are large. He also enjoyed a cappuccino. Cute restaurant with exceptional customer service. Our only complaint is we live a couple thousand miles away, but we will definitely make a point to stop here whenever we are driving through.

I found this spot on Yelp and was super pleased with the service, the selection, the strong WiFi, the decor, and the overall vibes here that was super welcoming. Parking was easy off the street and there was plenty of other storefronts to wander & window shop as I made my way to Tillie's. This whole area is great so anywhere you park is going to be close. For my coffee I really enjoyed the iced Golden Ticket coffee I got that included a caramel and a hazelnut flavor with a nice house made cream added to the top. It was so tasty! For food it was hard to choose. Everything from "brekkie", or breakfast, to lunch looked so good as listed on their menu. I ended up with one of their "Handhelds" of the Besto Pesto that included sliced turkey, homemade pesto (nut-free too!), mayo, and some delicious house made pickles. This sando came with a side of house made chips as well and was the portion for my lunch. Since I was driving back to Austin (an hour+ away) I decided to get through all of what was on my plate and not take any leftovers home but I could've!!! I really loved their decor and the long large and beautiful wooden community table they had near the back of the cafe. I saw a whole group of women (more than 6 of them!) gathered around, chatting, and having tea. I assumed they were locals because like them, I would be hanging out here all day with my laptop and/or friends all day if I could. Highly recommend coming in and checking out what you can find to have while here. From coffees, breakfast, lunch, and even refreshing tasty sparkling drinks you will find something you want to have and probably keep coming back for in the future. When I am in the area again, this will definitely be part of my plans in stopping into and eating at again.
