Loved the tropical/tiki vibe here. It's definitely a busy spot, so finding seats took a little while. The karaoke was super fun, but I'd recommend getting there early and reserving a spot if you don't want to wait around an hour or so. I ordered the Teriyaki chicken and the chicken itself was good, but the rice was a little hard and dry. Definitely will be back to sing my heart out (^o^)

Drinks only.... What a fun quirky place to visit....we just happened to pop into this placed during the holiday weekdays....It was quiet as it was a cold rainy holiday weekday at around 2pm....as we sat there awhile, people starter pouring in for holiday get together with friends and colleagues. And we just happened to pop on a Tuesday which was Tiki Mai Tai day- These drinks were ten dollars each. The drinks were solid as not overly sweet with excess juices- just wished for a little less ice. During happy hour (2-7pm) there are also food deals- that include appetizers. When you visit this place you will fill like you are stepping back in time- I am not sure if this place was ever updated. This place has been open since 1947. This bar is open every day. The bar is open from 11:30am-2:30am. The bar features lottery machines, lunch, dinner and karaoke. Plus a lot of entertainment from the décor. Definitely a place worth stopping by if you like Tiki bars.

What a delight! In town for a convention, a local had planned a night out for karaoke and knew this dive bar that is RICH in flavor... From the decor, the bartender, the menu, the drinks, and yes the food. Claims to be the longest operating tiki bar.... So not NY or Honolulu, but Portland! Before I die, I want to come back here!

The Alibi Tiki Lounge was definitely a highlight of our Portland trip. It was mentioned by a handful of people as a must since my partner loves tiki bars. We got the gist it was more on the divier side and that was perfect for us! There's plenty parking around and huge area inside accommodate many people. We ended going twice, Sunday and Monday, and each time was fantastic. It is really decked out with all things tiki bars. The drinks are pretty good and have all the classic tiki ingredients. I will say most of them tasted similar. There was a banana one that I liked. Monday night ended up being a karaoke night and it was such a fun time. There were a decent amount of people there for it being Monday. If we're ever in Portland again, we will definitely stop by again.

Our bartender Adria absolutely made our experience! She was such a fantastic bartender--friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun. Her great recommendations and positive energy made our visit memorable. The drinks were excellent, the food was delicious, but Adria's outstanding service is what will bring us back. If you're lucky enough to have her taking care of you, you're in for a great time!

Wow!! I'm so glad we decided to come here. I love tiki bars & this place did not disappoint. We ordered a Mai Tai and Hurricane- so yummy! Been to Hawaii several times and I'd say the drinks were comparable (if not better). Food was also a win- Huli BBQ & Pineapple Buffalo wings were flavorful. Also, we ordered the pork lumpia!! We will be coming back.

What a sweet spot!!! Coming in you'll need to let your eyes adjust, it is dark in here! The bartender was an absolute craftsman! We threw a variety of drinks at him and he nailed them all! We got a table out on the patio and enjoyed a nice breeze! It was nice that there was a private parking lot too! Great location, great service, great drinks!!!

I'd probably give a 3.5 but Alibi is super fun. Great tiki atmosphere with friendly service and good drinks. Solid Happy Hour food menu too.

Those who know me know I LOVE tiki bars! They hold a nostalgia place in my heart, as I remember when they were at their heyday of popularity back in the 70's. And I think this is my new fave PDX lounge! I love Hale Pele but this Alibi bar feels more....authentic (if there's such a thing as authenticity when describing campy Polynesian lounge bars in 2024 and located in the Pacific Northwest lol). This Alibi restaurant has all the trappings of the places I remember from the 70's, down to the exterior signage and huge neon lighting. (I love, too, that it has a large, free, dedicated parking lot. Bonus!). The interior is huge, but divided into separate sections, so it feels intimate wherever you're sitting. There are rounded and semi-circular booths, lots of diner-like seats and booths along the walls, upholstered in padded vinyl (some with small rips in them. Just like I remember, back in the day!). Cool little niches. Tiki decor (i.e., straw finishes, treelike canopies, small "pond"/fountain/pool, two bar counter areas (and the bartended is awesome nice, too), lots of wooden tree-like wall finishes..... Think Gilligan's Island-beachy vibe. It practically makes you forget about the cold, gray, rainy weather outside. There are some arcade games against the wall behind the main bar, and a separate room to the left rear with a stage and lots of seating for karaoke. We didn't have any food here, but we had drinks and they were fantastic! I had a "Banana Hammock" and it was delicious. My kid had a "Leilani Volcano" and we tried it and it, too, was delicious. And her partner ordered a "Shark Attack" and he really liked it. So all our drinks were a big hit. I'm already looking forward to returning here on my next visit to Portland!

    A lovely NA Painkiller... delicious.

I honestly am not sure why I gave it four before. This place was one of the most solid spots on our entire trip and loved that the bartender helped me out when I was zero proof earlier this year with a fantastic nearly NA (bitters only) Painkiller. Decor is awesome inside. And the drink was flat out delicious. If you're in Portland, give this guy a go. And def jump in for Sat night karaoke.

Vibes were really good on a Saturday night. This bar is divided into 2 sections- karaoke side with a decent amount of seating and then bar side. Put in song preference right away because it'll prob take over 30 min for your turn. Ordered the Saturn cocktail. Tbh didn't love it would prob get something else next time.

    Do they offer any mocktails?

Is there a wait to get in?

We came in right after work, there was no wait, and plenty of parking available.

    Is this place 21+?

    It's a bar, so, yeah.

Parking was difficult as it was all street parking and we were unable to find any spots that felt safe within a few blocks so we parked in a parking garage and walked a few blocks. The bar is cute and tiny with energetic music playing and friendly bartenders. It is a bit hard to carry a conversation here so you really have to be in close quarters with the other person. The drink menu has many awesome rum drink choices and they do have a 4-7 pm weekday happy hour. Drink prices are on par with other bars that serve cocktails and on average about $15. They have food and snacks, which I did not get but looked like a decent option. They also have a small outside seating area. It was a great vibe and I notice a wide age group there. I asked the bartender how long they've been around and they said 15 years. I can't believe I haven't been here before. That do charge a 3% credit card fee so cash is king. I would definitely like to come back and try some of their other rum drinks. We got back in to town right at the peak of the parade and lights celebration Saturday. To say it was chaotic would be an understatement. Since roads were closed, the road to my hotel was of course blocked off. So during the first go around we couldn't get to where we needed to be and went instead on a one mile circle which then led is to an area where the guy blocking the road was nice enough to let us through after we told him my hotel was where he was. What a blessing that was indeed because we found a parking spot right across from my hotel. My friend had an hour to kill before she could check in to her hotel since the road was still closed on that side. We lucked out finding two seats right at the bar as soon as you walk in. It was first come first serve and they were busy. Lots of people were trickling in from the festivities to have a drink or two. I got the cucumber cocktail. It was so good I made my friend have a sip. As what usually happens, we ended up making friends with the two ladies next to us who were parade participants representing mardi gras. Would recommend to anyone who likes good places, fun people and great drinks. I mean, champagne cocktails on happy hour?! Yes, however none traditional, but sell me the rhubarb one all day. My only thing, I would say it was difficult to get parking validated or use the ADA elevator, as the birthday man is having some stair challenges. Had to run up the stairs to ask to run it, maybe we just keep it open? Anyways, love! Not the bar's issue, just saying.
