Nice people. Great vibe. Our server was very knowledgeable and funny. We didn't order food but the drinks were unique.

I'm giving the place five stars but with a note. The ambience here is unique and fun! My friends were jealous when I started sending them photos. The drink menu is fun to explore! Our service was super friendly and fun. We will definitely come again the next time we're in town. Now the note. There is some confusion about bar seating. Ive seen a few negative reviews from people who were told there would be a wait when there were empty seats at the bar. This happened to us our first time too. Like other people, we were confused why we couldn't sit there. In our case we were told it was a 45 min wait. This time we had reservations and were shown to our seat right away. If Ravens Manor would just clear this up for people it would help eliminate some of those negative reviews. OH! One more critically important note: REDRUM is supposed to be spelled with backwards letters as it's a mirror image. Cmon Ravens Manor! LOL

My date and I came here on a Monday night early without reservations. We sat at the bar and had a few cocktails. The drinks and vibes were so much fun. After we had our drinks we explored a little bit. Be sure to check out the bathroom! There is paid street parking available. I would recommend reservations especially on busier days/times of the week.

Amazing. I would definitely be a regular if I lived in Portland. The cocktails, the atmosphere, and the wait staff were all so memorable. I loved every second of it. Super cool experience and great cocktails. This is a must visit.

Open seats scattered but would not let our party of 2 in

Let me revise, as my previous review was removed. After plenty of research, I wanted to visit Raven's Manor, visiting from CA. We stopped by on a Monday night at 8pm and when we entered, the hostess advised that the wait was 1.5 hours. It was surprising for a Monday night, and I was a little confused as we saw plenty of seating available. We were a party of 2, and we could see many empty seats available with small groups spread out everywhere. We were also advised it's a $10 cover fee per person. I think drink minimums per person would be reasonable, but cover at a bar and not a club is strange to me. We hesitated a bit, trying to decide if we wanted to put our name down or not as it would be 1.5hr wait outside at night in this area, cover per person, and drinks on top of it. Also, the hostess was very short and snappy with us, so she also impacted my first impression of this establishment. While we could overlook cover since we came from out of town, we decided that if we were going to be treated rudely at the door, it would be likely that the rest of our service would be poor as well, reflected by the hostess. She seemed annoyed that we took a few minutes to discuss putting out name down. It's not like there was anyone behind us. Overall, my short experience and interaction with the hostess wasn't pleasant. Cute bar though. The decorations are abundant.

Great find in downtown Portland! Dropped in on a Monday night (no reservation) and was seated right away. We had a few spooky drinks and loved the atmosphere. Check this place out when you're in town!

I found this place by looking for weird restaurants in Portland (might as well, right?) when I went there a few months ago. Boy, did this live up. The vibe is "haunted Speakeasy" and the decor and menu reflect that. I had a few drinks. One was their specialty: a glowing, bubbling concoction called Dr. Raven's Reserve. The other was a very old-fashioned absinthe tower. For my food I ordered a Wendigo Burger (bleu, of course), branded with a pentagram. LOL. Nice touch. My server, Neo, was awesome, and the whole place had a queer-friendly, everyone is welcome vibe.

Regardless of time of year this is a fun place if you're into a spooky setting. The staff is always great and their drink menu is fun. This year we were able to enjoy the Krampus decor and menu. It was super fun. I highly recommend the White Witch but honestly you can't go wrong with one of their drinks.

So grateful to have a place this cool in my hometown! We've been here many times but this was our first time during Christmas time and it was somehow even more amazing. So much effort is put into decorating. Every inch of this place is decked out and there's something interesting everywhere you look. Usually places like this are a tourist trap with mediocre food but the food here is delicious! Can't go wrong with the burger, it's juicy and has great flavor. We've had other things like steak and grilled cheese that are also delicious. I've never had anything bad here. If you want something sweet, I recommend the screaming ghosts. Drinks are also delicious of course. There are so many great options. Definitely try the mead! The yeti has a great smokey flavor from the mezcal and the Tea n Tarot comes with a fun tarot reading from your waiter. Shout out to Bebe for being amazing! The staff here are always wonderful!

Had a wonderful time here! Wonderfully haunted vibes. Staff was very knowledgeable and communicative with kitchen about celiacs needs. No dedicated fryer, but I got a side salad with my burger and the dressing was amazing, didn't even feel like I was missing out. Their standard hamburger with the gluten free bun was honestly one of the best I've ever had. We couldn't put it down because of how delicious it was and the bun held up really well. We also got off menu spring rolls that was recommended by staff and hopefully they will be making it a permanent item.

I am absolutely obsessed with this place!! I am a fan of anything spooky/horror and this spot itched that special place in my brain. From the decor, food presentation, and interactions with staff, you really get immersed into the whole experience. What's awesome is that after you're done w drinks/meals, you can explore the manor. There's some cool stuff to discover!

Ask the Community - Raven’s Manor

Is there a cover charge outside of the month of October?

I'm almost positive there's no cover. There's only additional charges if you book one of the Elixir Experiences or they're having a special event.

What times are the least busy during high season (like October) as a walk in?

at open @5pm! Weekdays are slower.

Is it hard to get reservations for a table (not the elixir experience)? Their website doesn't seem to book more than a few days in advance.?

Not really, anymore. Check the website for the dates and party size you want.

    What is the elixir experience?

They show you how to make a few of their cocktails. Some drinks are included and you visit areas the rest of the clientele don’t get to see.

Couldn't find any information on age limitations. Is it all ages until a certain time or only 21+?

    It is 21+ only.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

We came to Teardrop Cocktail Lounge while visiting Portland and were genuinely impressed…read more The cocktails were excellent -- thoughtful, well-balanced, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.
