The vibe here is so good, I love that it's dark and slightly haunted. They clearly put a lot of work into the decor and atmosphere of the place, even the bathrooms are creepy! Their drinks are well made, but very pricey. They have a lot of cool themes for their menu, I loved reading through all the descriptions and names of the items. The staff were all great there, very attentive to the tables and willing to answer questions or show off some of their cool stuff. My table ordered some jell-o shots which were in petri dishes that the server used a blacklight on to show a cool design which was super fun (though a bit hard to eat). The highlight of this place is its theme. It's really nice vibe - lot of cool things on display - creates a Halloween experience outside of Halloween season. Tried many different drinks - really liked the Port Town Fog. I personally didn't found it to be pretty boozy versus how our server described it. Pozuzu is pretty cool drink as well. I also tried and elderberry drink. If you are into bar - this place is a must try in my opinion. We were pretty lucky to get a walk in on Saturday night. I was introduced to Ravens Manor by another very cool immersive location, Wyrd Leatherworks and Meadery. I was visiting from out of town, and it was t far from our hotel, so we took a chance and dropped in for dinner. The ambiance was outstanding! Our server, Raven, was incredible, so big bonus for service. Very attentive and went above and beyond. The pictures speak for themselves, however the food exceeded my expectations. We had the mushroom risotto and steak tips, as well as the arachnicini, basically very creative Mac and cheese balls, and cocktails. While the menu is very limited, it was all outstanding. The craft cocktails alone are worth a trip to the bar (but don't actually trip - it's REALLY dark in there!). The risotto and steak were also both cooked beautifully. Altogether, this place is a MUST for horror fans and anyone who just likes the bizarre. Definitely walk around - there's lots of hidden gems in this place. The ambiance here is spooky from the moment you spot the bar on the street corner. It is busy inside but well worth it if there is a wait. Once seated, definitely get up and explore the place. My inner goth absolutely adores this place. From the moment we walked in, everyone was really nice, and we got to appreciate all the spookiness from a couch that was centrally-located. The service was prompt and friendly, and our server was happy to give us his feedback on various drinks. I chose the Redrum, which was described as being like a rum negroni, but to me it was more like a rum Manhattan. It came in a bell with smoke, so the presentation was fantastic. My friend did the Bone Collector, which was a non-alcoholic version of the haunted orange grove inspired drink, and she said it tasted like a creamsicle. It came with a beaker with an orange light and dry ice! (They were careful to tell us not to drink out of the glass, and just use the straw.) We also split the bread pudding (I can't remember the spooky name for it), and that was delightful. Ambiance is 10/10 (make sure you walk around the building, especially toward the back rooms and the bathroom). read more

Raven's Manor is one of the most unique spots in Portland and my go to recommendation for out of town visitors! If you want a place that truly captures the 'Keep Portland Weird' vibe, this is it! It's Halloween 24/7, with dark, moody decor around every corner. Jump scares in the bathroom. Thunder and lightening in the back rooms. You'll know you're in for a memorable treat! During the holidays, it transforms into a Krampus-themed experience, which is just as fun. The food and drinks are a little on the pricey side, but they're delicious and photo worthy for the gram. And around every corner of this place is incredibly photogenic. Expect a wait around Halloween and Christmas, so I'd recommend making a reservation during those busy seasons. Went on a Saturday night, got lucky, got seated at the bar immediately. Hostess and bartender were super nice. And like. Actually nice not the "I'm getting paid to smile right now" nice. Got a Daemon Ritus and Dr. Raven's Reserve. Daemon Ritus was like a creamy Mai Tai or tiki drink. One of the best cocktails I've ever had. Sweet but it didn't taste like absolute pure syrup. Dr. Raven's was good, pretty refreshing actually. Very lime forward but it didn't make my mouth pucker like a rear end. All other bartenders seemed super helpful. I wish I remembered my bartenders name but honestly they're all crushing it anyway. Decorations and vibe is killer. I'm giving the place five stars but with a note. The ambience here is unique and fun! My friends were jealous when I started sending them photos. The drink menu is fun to explore! Our service was super friendly and fun. We will definitely come again the next time we're in town. Now the note. There is some confusion about bar seating. Ive seen a few negative reviews from people who were told there would be a wait when there were empty seats at the bar. This happened to us our first time too. Like other people, we were confused why we couldn't sit there. In our case we were told it was a 45 min wait. This time we had reservations and were shown to our seat right away. If Ravens Manor would just clear this up for people it would help eliminate some of those negative reviews. OH! Let me revise, as my previous review was removed. After plenty of research, I wanted to visit Raven's Manor, visiting from CA. We stopped by on a Monday night at 8pm and when we entered, the hostess advised that the wait was 1.5 hours. It was surprising for a Monday night, and I was a little confused as we saw plenty of seating available. We were a party of 2, and we could see many empty seats available with small groups spread out everywhere. We were also advised it's a $10 cover fee per person. I think drink minimums per person would be reasonable, but cover at a bar and not a club is strange to me. We hesitated a bit, trying to decide if we wanted to put our name down or not as it would be 1.5hr wait outside at night in this area, cover per person, and drinks on top of it. Also, the hostess was very short and snappy with us, so she also impacted my first impression of this establishment. While we could overlook cover since we came from out of town, we decided that if we were going to be treated rudely at the door, it would be likely that the rest of our service would be poor as well, reflected by the hostess. She seemed annoyed that we took a few minutes to discuss putting out name down. It's not like there was anyone behind us. Overall, my short experience and interaction with the hostess wasn't pleasant. Cute bar though. The decorations are abundant. read more

I found this place by looking for weird restaurants in Portland (might as well, right?) when I went there a few months ago. Boy, did this live up. The vibe is "haunted Speakeasy" and the decor and menu reflect that. I had a few drinks. One was their specialty: a glowing, bubbling concoction called Dr. Raven's Reserve. So grateful to have a place this cool in my hometown! We've been here many times but this was our first time during Christmas time and it was somehow even more amazing. So much effort is put into decorating. Every inch of this place is decked out and there's something interesting everywhere you look. Usually places like this are a tourist trap with mediocre food but the food here is delicious! Can't go wrong with the burger, it's juicy and has great flavor. We've had other things like steak and grilled cheese that are also delicious. I've never had anything bad here. If you want something sweet, I recommend the screaming ghosts. Drinks are also delicious of course. There are so many great options. Definitely try the mead! The yeti has a great smokey flavor from the mezcal and the Tea n Tarot comes with a fun tarot reading from your waiter. Shout out to Bebe for being amazing! I love the spooky drinks, the activities you can sign up for, and the mild fright that is pervasive throughout. I have been by a couple times to get their syringe filled jello shots, smoking cocktails, and eerie bites. This spot is definitely about the ambience and experience so expect it to be more crowded certain times of the year -- I'm looking at your Halloween l o l The last couple of times I have tried to go, there have either been events requiring a cover charge or waits that were much too long to justify waiting. We booked the Elixir Experience for a party of 4 on a Saturday evening at 9pm. We shared the experience with another party of 3. The experience was so fun much! Lady Red was hilarious, charismatic and made the whole first part of our time a blast. The "doctor" was fantastic and gave each party equal attention and made sure we were being safe and having a great time the entire time we were concocting our elixirs. The drinks were good and we were treated to a private dining area once we were all finished. We ordered the vegan beignets which were in the shapes of ghosts and made my heart so happy! No dedicated fryer, but I got a side salad with my burger and the dressing was amazing, didn't even feel like I was missing out. Beautiful decor and a really excellent aura. Music is perfect and actually songs I already had on my playlists like Peter Guidry's "vampire masquerade". I was on their link tree site refreshing the page over and over for the better part of an hour, while also DMing them on insta and nothing! Then they tell me it was some cart issue that people had it in their cart and showed as sold out. 1) I was on there before the launch started - it didnt sell out 1 minute BEFORE the event even started. 2) Clearly it was never even added! I've heard so much about this place and got the chance to visit for the first time this past Saturday night! The atmosphere was insane! There was a consistent spooky theme and the kindest staff members. With each table being candlelit, it added to the spooky mood. I loved being able to walk around and admire the decor and artwork. There was even a photo booth in the back! This place is a must-visit! Since I stuck with water this time around and didn't get to try any of the fun drinks my friends got, I will definitely be back to appreciate the fun drinks! This was the first time I've been disappointed coming here, the first two food items I ordered they were out of. Our waiter had to come back and take our order after checking back over the menu. They had a fun add on for their ice cream and they were out of that too. Super disappointing that so many items were completely out, and I wish the waiter had let us know when we sat down, but it is what it is. We got in there right before the spooky decor was gone, I'm glad we did, it was so fun! Spiders and webs everywhere, they're already a 'spooky' spot, but all the extras and light color changes at the tables were super fun. We walked around after we were done eating and I feel like I find new things every-time we visit. Unfortunately, our waiter was also hard to track down the whole time. It wasn't too busy, but they kept disappearing when we needed them. They only came over when they were bringing us drinks or food.
