Derrick came to the house to diagnose the older model dryer that stopped producing heat. He was timely, polite and professional. He quickly identified the issue , & he was able to fix our dryer. While Derrick was at the house, he took the time to also look at another dryer in an attached apartment. Again, he quickly discovered the problem determining that he could fix this dryer as well (also an older model dryer). He had to get a part for the apartment dryer, but he was extremely efficient. He gave us a great price to fix both, & the costs is still less than buying a (one) new dryer. I would recommend letting The Appliance Guy come and assess the problem with any appliance needing repair before spending money on something new. I tried bigger named appliance repair businesses, & I am still waiting to hear back from them?? Yesterday, our dryer stopped working!! That sucks when therr are kids clothes to wash!! My husband found the Appliance Guy on Yelp and the came this morning at the agreed time. Derrick, the technician was pleasant a d courteous and in less than 5 mins, he diagnosed the problem. We had a broken belt, he also showed me how he knew ( we have an older model dryer as you can tell). Fortunately, he had a replacement belt with him and was able to make the change in about 15 mins. Derrick arrived early Monday morning to repair my 13 year old refrigerator which had quit running over the weekend. Quickly diagnosed problem as the relay switch and replaced with a new one. Then he tested everything for awhile before saying that the compressor would not stay on. Saying he was sorry he couldn't fix it, he removed the new relay and only charged me for a service call.
