He didn`t even know how to hold a screwdriver. He didn`t know how to shut off the gas line or when it was open. He left after just 10 min. Two man came to my house last night 3/22/2026, to repair my dryer. They took apart and they said that the thermostat fuse and the thermistor is bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He supposed to come back today to install the two parts needed, when my wife called to ask where are they, the guy said the reason why the parts broke it becauae the motor is hot, so you need to pay motor for $150 and the thermostat fuse and thermistor, total of $385.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The motor is running, yes it hot because two parts needed. Two parts broke because of clogged from the lint which is i already cleaned before they arrived. Now, my dryer is taken apart, they don't wanna come back if i don't pay the price of the motor. We called them up. Sent a contactor Eric DeLeon out to our house. Pure criminal activity. I called them to repair a Frigidaire wine cooler as they claimed to be "authorized" technicians with all parts available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They charged me 95 dollars to send a guy, barely speaking any English who stayed a total of 8 minutes (eight) stating the problem was the circuit board (btw the cooler reported an error that was exactly saying the same thing...) and I would be called by his boss with a quote for repair.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The next day at 5pm I got a call quoting: 440 for the parts and 380 for labor (obviously plus taxes unless I wanted to pay in cash...). I hung up and lost my 95 dollars. I bought an original part on Sears Parts Direct (excellent service) for 135 including taxes. I changed it myself in less than 15 minutes and fixed the cooler. Had the worst service- had a broken washer. Following scheduling the repair man found the problem, came and fixed the problem another day- but the washer broke. After rescheduling for them to come back- he couldn't make it due to another job. We rescheduled again, and he didn't show up again. when he told me he was on his way he sent a screenshot and he was a hour away. When I called the office no one could help me and suggested i talk to the technician. Thankfully I found a backup to fix the problem but they were unprofessional, rude and no shows. Don't use them. I found this "company" through Google. They do not employ repairmen, but sub-contract them. I doubt if they screen them first. My Maytag washer stopped working, so I called them and they said they would send someone over that afternoon, for a charge of $59.99. The man showed up about an hour later and took the washer apart. He said it needed a part replacement and would bring it back the next day, as he didn't have one with him. I would have to pre-pay $275 for the part and service, which I put on my credit card. He didn't show up the next day, but came bright and early the following day. After installing the new part, he then said he needed another part and went out to get it. Finally, after spending almost the entire day working on the washer and constantly consulting the repair manual, he said he couldn't fix it. So, I was left with an inoperable washer in a dozen pieces and I will have to go out (in the pandemic) and buy another. I also intend to have my payment cancelled by my credit card company. This Business is a rip off, a scam, and are gouging customers when they send a repairman to do work. I had a Maytag Electric Dryer that wasn't working properly. First the number you call is a front for non-employee contractors that do not work for them. They simply charge you a fee and then turn the lead to the conmen and gougers. My tech came and had a very hard time communicating in English. I normally don't care, but when dealing with money and explanations it should be someone that can communicate with customers. He gave me a total charge of $450.00 to fix the dryer. I know everything is expensive so of course I told him to fix it. I also expected a receipt showing the parts changed and the cost and labor to go with it. Blank on the receipt. He told me the part was $90.00 so I asked what his labor rate was and why he was charging me $350.00 for less than an hour. He got flustered a little and muttered something I could not understand. I paid him to get him out of the house and because it was fixed. So, I called these thiefs the next day and got their parts dept. The part he put in was $35.00. So, I was charged $415.00 dollars in labor for his time. They immediately said they are not involved, and I would have to talk to the same technician I couldn't understand nor trusted at this point. I urge you to not to do business with these crooks or their subcontractors. THIS IS A DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICE AND I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL F ILE COMPLAINTS WITH EVERY REGULATORY AGENCY IN THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND. I found this company on Blomberg's authorized repair website. I have a Blomberg refrigerator with an ice maker problem. From the first visit to my home, on July 9th, to the current 5th visit, it is obvious the repair person from Appliance Repair Men knows nothing about Blomberg ice makers. The issue is still not resolved. The repair person said he will be at my home this afternoon with the correct part. I am frustrated and fed up. I give this company "0" stars for their poor service, lack of knowledge regarding this product, poor communication, language barrier.
