Don't let the poor reviews fool you. I went here maybe a couple months ago and had a great time. Unfortunately I got scammed on a fake bar crawl that this bar owner helped me realize. Shout out the owner btw for that. Overall drinks, music, and service was on point. You wanna just kick back and chill come here.

I'm super drunk right now thanKS to a friend and the owner operators at the Arlington Saloon. My apologies In in advance if I don't come grammatically correct. In downtown Reno what was known as Monolith, Blind Dog and maybe other few names that I can't recall. you can find the new and improved ARLINGTON SALOON. Same layout as before ,but with now different staff , drink menu, and an extended side room where Hookava used to be. I really like this place more then what is was k own as. This bar has a lot of history. Comparing it now to what it was it's 200% better. I used to play APA 9 ball tournaments here with the shadiest pool table you can think of. Fast forward to present time their table is nice and straight ready for any professionals or ametures to enjoy. In the extended side room there's another pool table under wraps that's used for only special events. The Foosball table brings back memories of late nights and drunks games. The lighting is dim ,but the tables are well lit. Whatever sound system and playlist they have brings me back to when hip hop was really real. The bottle selection is very nice and ready for the mainstream selections or for the alcoholic professionals. My friend had a hard strawberry lemonade made with high-end strawberry sweetener that made it taste like real strawberry lemonade with no alcohol. Kind of dangerous ,but delicouse. We tossed back a few shots of watermelon vodka with a seasoned rimmed, mixed with Tapatio and secret sauce. Check them out if you like to play pool, listen to real hip-hop,and for specialty drinks. The spot for young adults and the more mature. Peace

It really does not taste anything like an "old fashioned" but it's very good and my usual go-to. Ambiance is cool. Has a very Edgar Alan Poe vibe mixed with an alchemist/speakeasy. Love the quality of the drinks as they absolutely put effort and time making quality drinks with quality ingredients. It's relatively small inside so I can only imagine it could get packed in there. We had several drinks and every single one was perfection! The bathroom is the cutest and they have the coolest speakeasy door that the employees use to get to the back (not for the customers). My rant..I'm not from the area so I had NO idea what this place was when I walked by. It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. I walked inside and instantly got the death glare from an employee. I instantly said omg I take it this place isn't kid friendly.. he rudely said no. I wanted to clarify and confirm even outside ? He said no. I apologized and they left but the vibe and way he said it was definitely off putting. My sister and I decided to stay for a drink while my husband/child went to walk around. Usually I don't give bad costumer service a chance.. but I realllllllly wanted a drink that one of those others customers were drinking. If this place had better costumer service. It would be a 5

We had two very different tastes (vodka and tequila) and she nailed both drinks perfectly. The bar felt clean, welcoming and comfortable even with its edgy vibe. I also loved the tarot cards they provide! I think they may have been intended as coasters (lol) but I kept mine as a souvenir and now use it as my bookmark. It's become one of my favorite little keepsakes. Location and parking: it's on a main strip right on the corner with a small parking lot but there's also accessible street parking in the neighborhood. I highly recommend it and will definitely return anytime I'm in Reno

It was due to the seasoning. However, it was packed with a variety of flavors. It wasn't dry and loose, which is what I have encountered at a few other places. All in all, there was so much in it that it was difficult to evaluate what I was eating, which is a good thing. It means I'll have it again :). It functioned as a whole rather than as separated ingredients to give a complex flavor profile, which I appreciated. The fries were seasoned beautifully. Very savory. I enjoyed them. Cooked wonderfully as well. The tortilla chips in the nachos.. I don't know if they were made there or not, but they gave the impression of being store-bought. The quality was not great. The nachos themselves... plenty of ingredients that you can mix together, but the ingredients weren't like a complete package. They were like a pile of separate things. I expect a well-balanced mixture of ingredients. The layer of queso was below while the avocado was clumped up at the top. The ingredients separately were quite bland. I wouldn't have this again. The brownie was better than a flourless chocolate torte and quite large. I enjoyed it, though I would say that it's not as good as a more standard brownie. I wouldn't have this again.
