We have family that live at The Asher. Every-time we visit, the amenities are beautiful. Very clean all throughout. Everything is new! We enjoyed gathering at the rooftop. The views are amazing, it doesn't feel like you are in Fremont. You can see the hills (mission peak) as well as the iconic "Niles" Hollywood sign. I love living here - the amenities are incredible, apartments are spacious with brand new appliances and there's a really great community vibe. They have food trucks on the property on most Wednesday's and they also offer HIIT and Yoga classes as part of your rent. I definitely recommend this place for professionals in their 30's that will make use of the many amenities - if not, then would recommend renting elsewhere that's more affordable. This place does have its problems but from my experience all luxury apartment complexes in The Bay do. Bikes being stolen, cars being broken into, creepy dude roaming around the property etc. No place is perfect and if you live near the Bart you can expect some sketchiness. Anywho, I definitely recommend this place and hope to be able to stay along as our rent doesn't keep increasing like crazy. read more

Rafi and Noah are good and reliable for fixing up things. Always response within a day or two and knows what they are doing.

I've lived here for over two years now and would not recommend living here. There are a plethora of issues that can't be summarized into a short review. Car break-ins happen often here (sometimes every night) and bikes get stolen from the premises constantly. There's a major security issue here as other reviews on this page have mentioned and it hasn't really been addressed by management. If you're interested in this place and are drawn to the nice "look" of the complex, I'd do yourself a huge favor and look elsewhere. read more

I lived at the Asher 3/20 -4/21. I did enjoy this apt community. I decided to move to be closer to work. The management & office staff were always super friendly. The ground was kept nice. Some of the other renters were not the best, IMO very entitled, but I was always able to make a formal complaint and it was always taken care of and handled promptly. I love the living of a gated community. I never had issues with theft. The Asher was very safe for me. Def recommend. read more

I want to thank the Asher for investing in a community experience for its' residence. I recently brought my sister and brother in law to one of the live music events on the first Saturday of the month. Everyone was so friendly. It was family friendly, and the music was tasteful, entertaining, and full of variety. The sponsors work hard to keep this event safe and fun. There was an amazing food vendor and lite drinks were available as well. My family lives in Sonoma and they left on cloud nine, saying they wished Sonoma had something like this going on. I think it's perfect that these events are only once a month, since of course not everyone will want to take advantage of them, but the Asher should be commended for doing something that feeds the soul, brings people together, and ultimately makes Fremont look great :) read more

Headline: Good value; avoid management While the building is new and amenities plentiful, the Asher leasing management staff is not prepared for prime-time. Although the GM is accommodating and approachable, the leasing manager was unaccommodating and didn't take building security seriously, failing to fix the front door entrance. I requested financial relief for services I could not use during COVID: I was denied and said that outdoor yoga and a taco truck were meant as substitutions for an equipped gym, pool, BBQ... There was ample outdoor space we could have safely used during the lockdown. Even if the local ordinance prevented these spaces' opening, you would think upon request that some sort of small discount would be granted given we were paying for services not received. In summary: - The actual apartment was brand new with high-quality appliances and decent quality hardwood for the price. - They had countless false fire alarms. - Beware if you drive an Electric vehicle; they are not equipped with proper WallConnectors - The interior hallway leading to your apartment is uninspired, bordering ugly. - Theoretically reasonable accommodations when open. In closing: I provide a lukewarm endorsement for the Asher. read more

The Asher is a brand new (still under construction) property close to the foothills. We moved in a week ago (Sun 6/14) and so far, it has been amazing! We relocated from out of the area so we had to fly in to tour multiple properties. Due to COVID, you can imagine this was less than ideal. Eric, our leasing agent, made the process here painless and exciting. We had to put down a deposit to tour the property (fair during these restrictive times), but if we chose not to lease here, it was fully refundable. I've noted some things we personally looked for in our search below, but overall, I'd highly recommend this property. I'd also point out the Eric was extremely accommodating and answered our endless questions with patience, knowledge and honesty. There was no fluff from him and he gave us some helpful hints/tips/tricks for our area. Anna (another leasing agent) moved us in on Sunday since Eric was off and she explained everything in further detail and was helpful as well. They seem to have a great staff and we truly look forward becoming part of this community. The neighborhood: It's quiet but active. We have a unit facing Walnut, right by the leasing office, so it is probably busier than most. However, the construction of the property makes noise minimal if you notice at all. I'd imagine if you want ultra quiet, you would prefer an internal facing unit, but we don't mind. The street is constantly buzzing with people walking, jogging, biking, walking their dogs, families out with their children, etc. It's very active and fun to see the community out and about enjoying the days. We consistently see people on the street as late at 10pm, a testament to the safe nature of the area. We are surrounded by condos and off of Mission Blvd/Cherry Lane area there are million dollar homes (we looked). We are half a mile from Central Park/Lake Elizabeth, which is massive and amazing for outdoor activities. We are close enough to the Fremont Hub (Walnut/Fremont Blvd) to make shopping convenient, but far enough away to avoid the traffic and congestion. There's a Kaiser Medical Office walking distance away, along with another hospital close by. BART is .5 miles away, an easy walk and important for my commute. The Property: Well, it's beautiful to say the least. It's brand new and a good portion of it is still under construction, so that tells you what you're getting when you walk in (never before used appliances and amenities). Our apartment itself is well built, with double pane windows, Stainless Steel Samsung Fridge, Electrolux Washer/Dryer, Frigidaire Stove/Oven and Dishwasher, etc. All energy efficient - we'll see how the electric bill looks in a month. The tub wall is quite high in our unit - my girlfriend has to "jump" in and out, and I definitely need to stretch to get in and out, so check that out when you tour the property - not by any means a deal breaker but something to think about if you're older or have a condition which may make that a difficult process. The rooftop pool is ready to go, but Alameda County is still restricted so hopefully in a few weeks we can enjoy that. It's gorgeous and has a great clubhouse type area where you can lounge in if you choose not to swim. It also has beer taps - no word on what's on tap yet but I'm definitely excited for those to get flowing! The gym/yoga studio isn't ready yet, but again the county wouldn't allow that to be open anyhow so we're not missing out. Based on pictures I've seen, I'd imagine it's a few months off minimum but I haven't heard anything solid. The parking situation is great thus far - they've only leased a minimal amount of units (most aren't even ready yet), so parking is plentiful. You get (1) assigned spot on your level in a garage that is central to all the units. In addition, there is plenty of guest parking for your friends/family to come visit. I'd once again imagine this will change with units being rented and the property nearing completion - but as of this review, no issues whatsoever. The parking garage is gated, and the property requires an RFID badge to enter, so it is relatively safe and restricted. There is a security guard that arrives in the late afternoon/early evening that sits at the front/roams around, so someone is keeping an eye on things at night. The mail room includes an Amazon Hub for your packages, and it is right next to the leasing office. Overall, the property is great and located in a prime spot, so no issues here. I will say that if you move in soon, don't expect the amenities to be fully functional any time soon. It looks like the rooftop pool and lounge are imminent, but the gym/yoga studio/game room/resort style pool seem to be months out as of this review. I'm sure COVID slowed things down considerably for construction. read more

Haven't ran into any issues here at the Asher. All the reviews about the car break in's and nothing being done really caught my eye but about a week ago there was many cameras being installed in the parking garages!! The amenities really catch your eye as well. The gym is huge for an apartment complex. There is 2 pools one on floor level and one on the rooftop. If you have ever watched love island you know this place looks like a villa lol. The price point may be on the higher side but there is so much you get out of living here. You are paying for what you get. Access to a 24 hour gym, study/work spaces, a pet spa, 2 heated pools & hot tubs, even rooms you can rent out for parties or events. Ive had no problems with any of the neighbors and everyone seems to be in a good mood when they walk by. SO MANY DOGS I LOVE IT! you constantly see people walking their dogs throughout the day and they are all so friendly too:) You wont regret living here! read more

The Asher is a great apartment complex!! Since moving here, I have enjoyed the amenities that are offered so much!! That being said their pool and rooftop area is the place to be!!! They have a cool hangout spot where there's a pool table comfortable seating, jacuzzi and fire-pits. They just recently started doing concert events on the rooftop so people can enjoy live music, good food and enjoy the wonderful rooftop & community. I am a sucker for live music though seeing the community have a good time over talented musicians singing and enjoying good food is something that I'm so beyond happy to be able to experience at my home!! read more

On top of the amazing amenities and the way that the Asher has gifted its residents with meals (Wednesday food trucks) it has begun to invest in the community by providing and sponsoring live music once a month. Huge disappointment living here. Great amenities and the maintenance team is also great. The problem is that management does not address a lot of issues that residents have. There have been a lot of concerns lately and management is not transparent with their residents. This place wasn't built as good as it looks either. You can hear your neighbors due to the thin walls and flooring. Was told there was 3 feet of cement in between floors before moving here but that was false information from the leasing office. You can hear almost everything your neighbor does. Nothing is enforced here either. Cars go 20mph in the 5mph garage. People and cars have almost been hit multiple times but was told speed bumps can't be installed. (Until someone seriously gets injured, then maybe they'll consider it!). People smoke on their balcony's even though this is a no smoking property. Nothing is enforced. I have also seen more "self entitled a**hole residents" here than any other place I've lived before. I'm not sure why that is, but there's a heads up. For the pricing, it just doesn't add up. Multiple residents want to break their lease and even have online chat groups about the lack of management. I can not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went to the "Live at the Asher" show at the beginning of August. Every facet of this event was amazing. The space, the music, the vibe, and the people made this event a worthwhile experience. There was incredible talent on display and I was excited by the fact they actually had horn players! Aisea and his wife Elmira organized a great event! I have lived in Fremont for years and there is usually nothing going on on weekends. A friend of mine invited me to this complex for an amazing rooftop concert. They had incredible food, live music and community. I truly feel like that's what Fremont was missing. The event started at 5pm, which was perfect since the kids were all in the pool and ended a little before 10pm. Great for an afternoon/night out. If we were not home owners, I would convince my husband to move here!!! Such a great community! read more

I've been impressed at how clean and well maintained the amenities and facilities are at The Asher! This place stands out as a residential community because the management clearly actually cares about fostering community in the community spaces! They bring in Food Trucks every week and also host various events. This summer there has been free live music on the rooftop, and these have been a great option for safe, family-friendly fun. I have visited Asher and previewed a friend's unit. It's quite appealing, given how modern the aesthetics and amenities are. While, parking is a general challenge to the public, there are spacious views and windows for a lot of natural lighting! My personal favorite is how intentional Asher is about creating a community. Personally, I found this space to be extremely inviting. Their live music only happens once a month. They are generally mindful to end around a reasonable hour on Saturdays. It's rare to find local music events that uplift local artists. Most importantly, aim to cultivate connected relationships with neighbors. The views and open meeting/social halls/rooms are extremely inviting and covid friendly. There is great design implemented in the spaces! read more
