I love this skatepark, I come here weekly. It is in a pretty safe location seeing as it's right…read morebehind a police station. It can get over run by the kids from the schools and parks especially afternoons and weekends. Maybe some more signage that the SKATEPARK is not a playground would be nice. There's bathrooms now not just port o potties which definitely was a need!

This review is for the rec center. The cost for a colony resident is $10.00 non resident is…read more$20.00. The rec center during the day when school is in caters to adults and Seniors. A weight room of sorts with aerobic devices weight machines ;and barbells as free weights. Just enough to loosen yourself up so you can play other sports. Full size Basketball court. That has 3 pickle ball courts painted in the the court as well as at least two volleyball courts. Daytime during school hours for adults after 3 for youth. The pickle ball courts are used on Monday and Wednesday in afternoon and on Tuesday and Thursday in morning. Those who play there all the time are most welcoming to to the newcomer. The addition of the pickle ball courts shows the center responds to community requests. Outdoors is where the Center has really invested in the needs of our children. There at least 3 activity centers for the younger kids including a rather new looking splash park. Their is a full size basketball court outside. A skateboard bike park. There are ball diamonds for base ball leagues. In the very back of property are two tennis courts well kept up with two pickle ball courts their as well. The rec center has been around for many years and if you are worried about your safety . The local jail is right across from the center with our police department

1st return visit after $15.9 million remodel from 2021 bond program. WOW! Seeing all the new stuff…read moreyou almost forget how dated it was before. Much better looking from ceiling to floors. See photos. Another rec center is closer to home and will go there to save drive time. But nice to have an option for a newer location. Appears all the exercise equipment on 2d floor has been replaced with same models just new ones. One needs to bring own lock for lockers or buy one from rec center. Too much to list here but do a Google search to review all the improvements made visible and behind the scenes (roof/HVAC/plumbing)

We love this gym because of the pools and the inside is nice, and has a lot of cardio and strength…read moretraining equipment. However, most of the front desk seems like they hate people. Meaning, they are pretty indifferent when greeting or answering questions about the facility. They don't really say hello until we do. I can tell they are just there to have a job, so it doesn't detour me, but geez. I can't imagine being the face of the facility, and having such a poor attitude. They are not mean or disrespectful, but it's like they just tolerate the paying guests that come in. Kind of like that new emotion on the Inside Out 2 movie. There is one guy that is friendly-I think he has reddish hair and glasses. There is another guy upstairs and the first time we went, he just stared my son down in the youth area for like the first 20 minutes we were there. My son is within the age range, but I guess the staff member wanted to make sure he didn't do anything wrong. I interacted with him a bit, and it seemed to break down a little bit of his mean-mugging vibe. He might try saying hello to people, because most people won't want to break any rules if it means disappointing a friendly guy that is in charge. The facility is cool. I suggest they get built in locks on the available lockers like they have at Carpenter Rec. I also recommend that management have a team building exercise or rotate the front people with other staff to give them a break. If you can get past the blah energy upon arriving, it's a really great facility.
