Stopped by this cozy diner in downtown Aurora and was pleasantly surprised! The food is not only delicious but incredibly generous for the price--you definitely get your bang for your buck here. Classic diner favorites made right, and you won't leave hungry. The waitresses are a bit shy and clearly very young, but you can tell they're trying their best. It's all part of the learning experience, and I respect that. With time and confidence, they'll grow into the role. The food was just okay except that the oil used to fry the onion straws must have been really old because my onion Straws tasted like fish.The service was terrible. The server looked at us straight in the eyes (we were the only customers there) and didn't greet us. Three times I said hello to her and she didn't respond. I had to ask for silverware since she just dumped off our food and left. When she finally brought it she only brought one set even though we were two people. Fried mushrooms were bland and even tasted odd . We politely and quietly asked the Server to take then back after we each tasted one. She said ok then returned and told us the the owner does not refund on menu items unless their is something wrong with them.the reason we sent them back is because they tasted wierd and that is why I said politely that I DON'T CARE FOR THESE. We were not offered a replacement and the owner never showed his/her face. Our young waitress said she would get in a lot of trouble for removing the item. The staff was awkward after our request. Hubby and I were out biking with friends and decided to stop for lunch here. We diner style decor was cute and we had great service. We felt that the food was acceptable, but not anything special. We ordered a grilled chicken salad, hot ham and cheese, Aurora burger, and a fish sandwich. 3 waters and an iced tea. All was fine, but felt like it was pretty standard,,,frozen fish, bagged lettuce salad, unremarkable burger. Bill was $41.61 before tax and tip. read more

The Aurora Diner is a good place for breakfast the restaurant is clean and the service was fast. It has an old time movie theme. Order was taken in minutes and the food arrived in normal time. Food was fresh and delicious. Come hungry because it is filling. Coffee was fresh and hot too. It was definitely worth the drive. The Aurora is nestled in the renovated downtown area and is worth strolling around and enjoying the step back in time. I think you will be pleased if you make the trip. read more

While visiting the area we stumbled across this little gem. Old movie posters and photos tastefully displayed along with repurposed wood bar, high back booths and chairs at spacious tables. They clearly support the community with a Halloween coloring contest for the local elementary. The loaded hashbrowns is where it's at and the coffee was amazing. Definitely don't sleep on this place it's a look back at what the American dream used to be in small town America. read more

This is a new diner to the Aurora area. Many restaurants have opened and failed in this location so I truly hope this one can make it work. I visited on a Sunday at lunch time and they were nearly full. My table of 7 was quickly sat and served which was appreciated. We all chose a variety of sandwiches with fries. We all agreed our sandwiches were good but the fries were soggy and the seasoning didn't add much flavor. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and really believe this place has a chance at bringing more business back to Downtown Aurora. I'll definitely visit again and hope to try out their breakfast options next time. read more

This is a diner in Aurora (shocker I know). They are open for breakfast and lunch but not dinner (I believe they close at 4 most days) so keep that in mind. The restaurant looks very cool (their booths are HUGE!) and the service was very good on both occasions that I've been here. I got breakfast on both visits here. My first visit I got the Hoosier Breakfast which comes with 2 eggs (over medium for me), toast, hashbrowns, a choice of bacon or sausage patties (bacon for me), and a choice of 2 pancakes or biscuits and gravy (I got pancakes). I also ordered a side of goetta. The eggs were fine as was the toast. The bacon was crispy and delicious and the pancakes were pretty good (had better had worse.) The goetta was underdone and just didn't taste good. The hashbrowns were quite good as well. My second visit I got the Pancake Breakfast which I tried their sausage this time. They give you 5 smallish pancakes with this which ended up being a good portion size to fill me up. Again slightly above average pancakes with my only comment being they're just a tad on the dense side. The sausage was middle of the road witg decent flavour but nothing memorable. Everything I had was good but not great with my only bad item being the goetta but nothing that screams for me to come running back either. It is very economical so there's that so if you want a relatively inexpensive, no frills breakfast then this is for you. I will try their lunch at a different time and post that. This is a good diner to eat at for breakfast or lunch. Service is always good. Food comes out in a timely manner. I like the Trio salad. Egg salad, cottage cheese and tuna salad on a bed of greens. It is delicious. I'm a gluten free eater. Not really much to choose from for lunch. This is my go to. Breakfast I have a much better selection. I would recommend this place. You can seat yourself here. They offer tables, booths and set at the bar. I do believe they have a party room for large gatherings of people. read more

This is a really nice little diner. My husband got the turkey club and fries and I had the grilled chicken salad. The salad was no frills but good, I liked how the chicken was seasoned. My husband's sandwich was pretty big and he said it was good. My son had the mini corn dogs and he was super happy they were on the menu, and he ate them all! read more

The food was very good. However it says ya get two sides and the only choice offered fries and tater tots??? One potato would and should have been enough. Also the candy was a nice touch. Cute little diner! We went skiing at Perfect North for the weekend and enjoyed breakfast here on our way out. The staff was very friendly, and it just feels like a small town diner. Food was good and decent prices, much better than going to Waffle House which seemed like our only other option. Would recommend! read more
