I brought my Honda accord to them after already had seen winter Honda where I bought it twice. They charged me an obscene amount for running a diagnostic that didn't show anything and did not fix the problem!! Auto doctor is also completely flummoxed by the problem, the huge difference is they tried everything and did not charge me. They are so concerned that they strongly suggested that I try another Honda dealership (not winter) and asked to be told what I find out, because they want to know for future clients. Ronnies response: Tom, for one, you were not there when I walked over to your shop. All I did was walk up with the rotor and cap to show Matt and Chris how bad it was burnt and that is why I was getting check engine light, that was one of the issues. Chris insisted that he checked it and it did not need replacing, just like he said with the wires that didn't need to be replaced. I wanted everything replaced, even wires and rotor and cap. A complete tune up. You might have thought the engine needed replacing, which was false. After I brought my truck to another mechanic, I told them about the check engine light and how you told me I needed a new motor. After 30 minutes he said it needed a new rotor and cap and that is one of the reasons the engine light came on. Misfire on #5 was a wire sparking because you didn't replace them as I requested. So the truth is if you did the wires and rotor and cap we wouldn't even be having this discussion that I needed a new motor. For your information, it did not fail smog, I was told to come back in 100 miles because I replaced the battery and that is why it failed. So I had the wires and the rotor cap replaced and now my truck is running great. And I was not combative, I walked over to your shop to show your staff something and they came at me with insults and threats. I didn't even get two words out of my mouth. I guess when a customer questions your work you call that being combative. I'm a consumer. I was called a "fing" liar and a loser. I never spoke that way to your staff and I don't feel I should have been talked to and threatened in any way. I was driving away, and Chris yelled at me and wanted me to get out of my truck to have a confrontation with him. I just drove away. After 24 years of being a loyal customer, you have someone that works for you that threatens and disrespects me. read more

Great service!! Went in knowing​ that I needed my oil change, told Tom that something was up with my Honda and it​ wasn't driving how it should be. I thought it was the transmission but he drove it around and found out it was my rotors. I would have never thought that I would be my rotors. I came here on a whim after smelling a perfuse amount of gas coming my car. I was In downtown Brentwood on my way to work and I was in a complete loss of where to go, not to mention my tank was running low. So by the luck of god I stumbled upon this place and am I extremely thankful I did. Located off of Brentwood blvd next to the Ford dealer ship,tucked in back of a tire store, this place can be a little hard to find. They were a little busy when I frantically pulled in but where able to check my care out with in a reasonable amount of time. After a few minutes of pacing back and forth, hoping they were not going to tell me the worst, with in minutes they found the problem. They had to order the parts and being it was Friday, they said it would not be in tell Monday ( understandable) Anyway, the price was far more reasonable then I had imagined and they were to true to there word saying my car would be done by Monday mid morning, not to mention they were extremely friendly( which can be very rare) especially regarding my last horrendous experience with the last so called mechanic. They won my business and I will be back, just hopefully not any time soon : ) read more

When your car breaks down, you're happy to have it fixed, so you can be on the road again... and when you do business with someone, you expect to get what you paid for.... Great service is bonus. Well... these guys really raised the bar. I took my car to my mechanic a while back, and he told me that the service engine light had come on, and it's from a faulty sensor... which is $80 to fix, and isn't necessary. There was also a noise that he couldn't get rid of, and neither could the Chevy dealership. Well... my car breaks down- the bearing ran out of lubricant, overheated, and locked up in the middle of nowhere on I-5. It was an expensive tow, so I wanted to make sure I towed it to a good shop. The Auto Doctor had good Yelp Reviews, and was close to where I was staying. They gave me a fair estimate over the phone, and said they could have the car fixed by end of day if I got it in quickly. I only got it there right before closing time though. At 9AM (opening time) I get a call from them, asking if I'd like to change my drive-belt, as that's what's making that horrible noise. I said to go for it, and they said the car would be ready in 1 hour. Sure enough, a little less than an hour later, my car was ready. They even offered to give me a ride. They were friendly, and checking out took no time at all... The price was what they had quoted me, and the car drove like a champ. In fact... now it was better than when I brought it in (not just because of the new wheel hub assembly)-- that horrid noise is gone, and the check engine light is gone. When I get back home to Austin (which, thanks to The Auto Doctor, I can drive back to), I am switching mechanic. Meanwhile, at my urging, my parents are switching their car care over to the Auto Doctor. Thank you! read more

I was very impressed by the integrity and work ethics of this shop. My mothers car broke down while visiting and they ran a diagnostic on her Passat. After running many tests they couldn't determine the problem and said to take it to a dealership. They didn't charge her for the diagnostic!! Plus they were incredibly helpful explaining everything that they ruled out and apologetic for not being able to determine the problem. The dealership had a really hard time determining what the issue was, taking days to do multiple tests. Ended up being a small leak dripping into a sensor, which would cause her engine to stall at a stop. The integrity of the Auto Doctors makes me want to do business with them in the future. read more

These guys are great! I dropped off my car here about a week ago to get a diagnosis and they were quick to let me know what was going on. My car ended up being under warranty for the work I needed but Auto Doctor let me store my car there until I could get it towed to the dealership for no extra charge! We noticed the car was leaking oil and I had a busy, long distance driving schedule coming up. Hubby took the car to our usual service people around 9:30 in the morning (they do our regular maintenance). They were "too busy" to even look at it til,about 12 and wouldn't be able to even service it for about 2 weeks. I called the tire place across the street that does oil changes but they said they don't do service but suggest Auto Doctor. I called and spoke with Kim. I explained our situation and she said they were extremely busy but go ahead and bring the car in and they would take a look. Hubby did that and not only did they immediately discover the problem, they ordered the part and Matt gave hubby a ride home. This was a Friday. Today, Monday, we get a call around 9:30 and the car is ready to go. Tom, the owner, came to pick hubby up. I've never experienced such amazing customer service. I wish I was as lucky as these 5 star reviewers but sadly...not. I took my 2007 Ford Focus in about a year ago now. It had a power steering problem, plain and simple. They ended up changing my rack and pinion (not cheap) and my power steering reservoir. I pick it up, car runs great for a couple hours. Then it's doing the same thing. Considering I paid 1200!!!! Dollars for this to be fixed, I take it back. This time, the lady at the front desk was snotty to me as if it was somehow my fault. I pick it up another couple days later and STILL nothing is fixed. The lady at the front straight up said "well we tried twice" uhhh ya you fixed something that was NOT needing to be fixed. She obviously did not want me to bring my car back even under warranty she basically said there's nothing they can do...a car mechanics shop...that charged me 1200 for absolutely nothing. Maybe it's because I'm a young female these people thought I would be satisfied with this?? Anyways, turns out there's a leak somewhere but I'm not interested in taking it anywhere else after this happened. A year later, I have a new car because it was just cheaper that way since I'm just going to get scammed. I'm a struggling college student so they royally F'd me over. Seriously never coming back to this crap hole, horrible rude customer service and even worse on cars. Please learn to do your jobs, you affect people's daily lives... read more

My front headlight went out and I had to get it fixed asap. I took my car to a nearby place who could not fix it because of some strange explanation. Somehow I needed some Hid projector blah blah blah. I popped into this lovely place and they called for the part based on what I was told at the other place. It turned out the part was $147 dollars and required an hour of labor $120 dollars because the bumper had to be removed. So the lady at the front desk asked one of the mechanics in the back to confirm that it was the right repair. He went out to my car and popped in a new $20 dollar bulb. Wow!!! That's all it needed!! Such integrity. I am so glad she checked because she saved my butt. read more

Why I trust the Auto Doctor... Took my car to the dealership for an oil change. Time to pay on by the way you need brakes in about 5k miles and we can do that for you. Yeah, sure no problem. All the time I'm thinking Auto Doctor. Five thousand miles later Auto Doctor informs me front brakes have about 40% of life left and back brakes 60% life. I was in town visiting my mother, and my check engine light came on. I called a couple other auto repair shops and they were all booked and one had suggested calling the auto doctor. They were able to squeeze me in and extremely helpful. My engine had a misfire and they were able to get it fixed however they went above and beyond and even researched the fact that this issue was under an extended warranty by the carmaker. The owner wasn't able to figure out the problem as the problem itself disappeared but tried for multiple days to figure out what was wrong using his own time and effort. This place is great. I had replaced the alternator on my car at Big O in Pleasant Hill. Big O said my starter was going bad. I brought my car to the Auto Doctor to replace my starter and they said the starter was fine but my battery was bad. They showed me the charge level of the battery.
