Looking at the Yelp reviews gave me a good sense of the operation, including the cleanliness of the shop, which says a lot to me, and the way they handled the negative reviews. Made an appointment and dropped the car off. When the work was done, we got a printout of all the alignment measurements and the car handled noticeably better. Once again Auto Import Service has provided me with excellent diagnosis in determining what was causing a the check engine light on my 2013 BMW 535i. They are particularly expert at finding vacuum leaks, indicated by the fault code reported. They eliminated the likely culprits and determined that the problem was likely the aluminum valve cover installed on the car over a year earlier. After replacing the valve cover with an OEM product they recommended, the fault codes disappeared. They did not just start replacing "suspect" parts, costing me time and money and would not have solved the problem. Only a group of experienced professionals could have reached this correct diagnosis. I highly recommend Auto Import Service to BMW, Audi and Mercedes owners. read more

Having 40,000 miles anyway I just put a new set of tires on but they do not do allainment so was recomended by American Tire to go to Auto Imports. Best thing that happened to Me in a long time. Was told 4 wheel allainment would be about an hour. Before I knew it My car was in the air and job completed in 35 min. New A week ago I made an appointment for my Mercedes Metris. I was searching for a garage that worked on Mercedes vehicles that was closer than the dealership. I had extensive conversation with the person who made the arrangements. I asked what was required at 45k miles. I was told the service required was going to be in excess of $1700. I verified the appointment the day before and said they used genuine Mercedes parts. I shared with her my concern as I had spoken with the dealer who said sometimes garages said they did but in fact didn't, which could result in damages down the road. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The woman shared she was a former employee of Stockton Mercedes and acted as though she knew her business.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I showed up today at the scheduled time for my appointment. She came out of the office to meet me only to tell me she didn't think my car would fit on the racks she had. I asked if she could measure to be sure. After much discussion with the manager about which rack and the appropriate angle etc. it was determined they weren't equipped either physically or mentally to handle it. I of course was angry that they had plenty of time to prepare and didn't even once ask about my car. One would think if you were in the garage business you might know the vehicles you intend to book. Oh, one more thought, the principal said he could get the car on the lift but wouldn't be able to get it backed off the lift! I lost my cool at that point and asked for my key back. If one can get it on one should be able to back it off. This was totally absurd ! And you think I want to do business!! Not! Beware. read more

Auto Import Service was the worst experience I ever had with a car shop. They were referred to be by America's tires as being "BMW Specialist" that can do an alignment on my 2015 BMW M3. After the specialist finished the alignment, he backed it out of the shop and almost hit the wall of the shop. Even though my car has a front and rear camera, I guided him out and after he got the car out of the shop, he drove off. He drove back into the shop 15 mins later, got out of the car, and walked away. I knew there was something wrong when his manager came. Auto import services has a big sticker saying they're "BMW" specialists and my BMW is all original, unmodified. Watch my video as the "specialist" confesses how he broke the front carbon fiber lip of my BMW. The manager, Alex had me wait for him to get insurance. I honestly don't think they actually had valid insurance because Alex couldn't even give me the company contact information. I feel like he just google searched an insurance shop right then and there to cover their mistake. They broke my front lip on August 18, 2021. After fighting with their cheap and uncooperative insurance company, I finally got my fully repaired on September 25, 2021. I also wanted to note that Auto Import services and their insurance company left without a rental car for weeks as my car sat at the repair shop. I will never go back to this shop and I do not recommend going here. read more

In late October I contacted Auto Import Services about my Mercedes Benz SLK320. It was having issues with the engine just turning off on me while driving. While on Vasco in rush hour traffic it turned off on me Leaving me in the middle of the road. I was embarrassed for what had happened but got my butt out of the car and pushed it to the side of the road. I called Auto Import Service and talked to Jeff. He asked me to bring it in so he can troubleshoot. Once the car was in the shop Jeff was very up front with cost and time on when the car was going to be repaired. The PROBLEM was the sh*tty attitude of the new manager, Jeff, who I think needs to learn how to treat customers properly, especially if they are spending THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS servicing their cars at this shop, as I did, and who I will NEVER deal with again. I dropped off my 2014 BMW 535i with 62,335 miles on it this morning to get a oil change and inspection. I knew it would need new rear brakes and it was time to flush the brake fluid. They called back to say it was time for brake fluid( rear brakes still had another 5k left on them) spark plugs were due at 60k miles and the battery should be replaced soon. No surprise here, total was going to be about 1,200. I told them not to replace the plugs and battery and to complete the normal service including brake flush. After work i stopped by to pay the bill and pickup the keys. I returned an hour later after closing to pickup my car. As soon as I started it the engine started shuttering. I drove it two blocks down the street and it threw a check engine light and went into limp mode. I parked the car back in their parking lot. Circumstance? I find it hard to believe. I'm going back in tomorrow to see what they have to say for themselves. I always give the benefit of the doubt and this is a reputable place. Stay tuned... Turns out the #1 cylinder was misfiring, not the #6 or 5 or 4. The easy one to reach, the one they removed. After going back and forth they agreed to replace all plugs for a price I thought was fair. Car is running well but they also forgot to reinstall some plastic covering that broke off when I turned the windshield wipers on and was drug across the entire windshield multiple times before it was launched into the street. Makes me wonder if they forgot to reinstall the plug properly... Anyway, I did not have a good experience and will be trying another import specialist when the time comes. read more

I've dealt with a lot of mechanics in the past, and have always jumped from one to another due to various reasons with being unsatisfied.
