I used to bring my 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trailboss to this place for transmission/diff fluid change. I did not ask for oil change because I just changed them out myself, but while they are doing the job, they checked up on oil and told me I probably need the oil change. I used Mobil 1 synthetic for truck/suv which is a bit darker when new so maybe that's why they thought I needed oil change. I refused the oil change as I literally just did it a day ago. They performed the job I requested without the oil change and all was good. But after that I needed coolant and brake fluid flushed. Called them multiple time over multiple days to schedule an appointment but they never picked up. I don't know if my refusal of oil change rubbed them the wrong way, but because they never picked up I just found another mechanic. read more

I have a 15 year old SUV and the clock spring in my steering wheel broke. The dealership said it would cost $2,000 to replace. I took it over to Keep It New hoping for a less expensive repair. After checking on the necessary parts, Rima did an additional check to see if there was an extended warranty or recall. As it turns out, there was a 15 year extended warranty by the manufacturer. Rima printed out the applicable warranty notice and I took it over to the dealership. They agreed to make the repair with free parts and labor. I've had great service and what I consider to be decent service prices here in the past. Unfortunately, this morning when I called in and spoke to Shane, I asked for a full repair of the timing belt replacement job--all related included. He quoted between $2000-$3000! I called Winter Honda in Pittsburg and got a quote for $1850, plus tax. So, why wouldn't I go there compared to this place? Research tells me an independent auto repair shop should only charge $1000-$1500 for this job. A mobile guy quoted $800 for labor, plus parts, which would put me in the proper range. I had told Shane I needed to take a 600 mile road trip this week and I think he took advantage of that. So beware of such tactics. It pays to shop around. I'm happy with their service and I find them honest and the pricing fair. I've been a customer for a year now, and whether I'm dropping off my car or waiting for it, communication is prompt. While the services I've needed so far have been regular maintenance, their service is a big part of what's keeping my car in good condition. I recommend them. When they discuss the findings of their diagnostic report, they don't try to upsell me and they let me know the items that need to be done now, at the next regular service, or sometime in the future (i.e., something optional that might be helpful). Again, I received outstanding service from Keep It New Auto Service! I had taken my car to the dealership for a recall item and had asked them to check my oil level. I got my car back with no mention of the oil level. I went over the paperwork and saw they had said, 'Oil check requested. Not checked because dipstick missing or broken!' I was very disappointed that they did not tell me about this or make an effort to repair/replace. I went to Keep It New Auto Service and they immediately determined that the piece on the top of the dipstick was missing, so it could not be pulled out to check, but that the seal was good and it was safe to drive the car. They ordered a new dipstick for me and will replace it when I return the car. There was no charge for the service today! This is an excellent company to do business with! They really go out of their way to help you right when you need it, and they know their business and what they are doing. I cannot imagine going anywhere else for any kind of auto service. I recently drove my Nissan Versa Note from Brentwood to Los Angeles for an event & back and upon touching down in Brentwood it started having issues. Apparently during the drive back on the I-5 my cars heat exhaust cover got too hot and cracked a bit which was causing it to flap and was making a super loud rattling noise that was so embarrassing. I drove my car around like that for two days until I couldn't take it anymore, the stares coming from people were unbearable. I searched on Google for local auto body shops that specialized in Nissans and heat exhaust issues and came across Keep it New Auto Service. After filtering out through hundreds of reviews I decided to drop in to see if they could help me (no call ahead or nothing). Upon arrival I asked one of the mechanics at the shop if they had availability to check out my cars issue as it would be required to be lifted to inspect it and he asked me to check in with the front office folks which happened to be the lovely owners Ann & Ace. They had their mechanic squeeze me in and check out the issue in a prompt manner while I got added to their computer system in the office. 20 minutes later the mechanic mentioned that he had fixed the issue and that the car was no longer making a rattling noise. He had patched up my exhaust cover with epoxy glue and had added additional screws so it would stay in place. Then I asked the owners how much I owed them for the repair and was floored when they told me "nothing it's on the house". After insisting to at least let me tip the mechanic, they told me that there was no need for that because this is how they like to treat people bc it's the right thing to do. I was so moved by this gesture and expressed that to them. In a world where everyone's trying to make a quick buck from you or rip you off I can't tell you how incredibly refreshing it is to find genuine and kind people like the folks from Keep it New. I will certainly be bringing my car here from now on and will recommend them to everyone who needs their car repaired here in the area. Communication was excellent he gave me a quote which was $50 more than the shop that also responded but I had to remind myself that he was mobile and honestly after reading the past reviews it was a no brainer. Edgar texted me when he was 40 minutes away and showed up on time (SUPER BONUS). I had a issue with my after market Tesla hubcaps as i was trying to remove them and cracked one. I was actually ready to say forget and just tear them off and buy another pair but he took the time and removed them with a tool he had on the truck (I REALLY APPRECIATED THAT) . He proceeded to rotate my tires and we had a nice conversation. He educated me on the difference in tires for Teslas which i had no idea about. I do not recommend this place after the experience I went through,.. awful! Last year, I took my car to this shop, that was my first car I purchased on my own a Infiniti G37s coupe and for it to go into a shop thinking all the previous reviews are good "let me take my car there too" and for it to come out the way it did, (grease on my upper interior, tools left under the hood, the dash and console ruined, let alone the airbag sensor and check engine light on and still no AC.) it was a nightmare I had no choice but to get another car since my Infiniti isn't fit to be driven due to whatever they did to make my airbag light come on and yes I did report it to my Ins, but when my ins called they said my car was old and falling apart, yes, it had a lot of miles cuz it was my commuter but not falling apart otherwise I would've asked for more to be fix then jst the AC; I took very good care of my car until I brought it into your shop and I've only got to rant about it now, why?! cuz I've been working two jobs cuz I have a car payment I have to deal with no thanks to this place! read more

I have NEVER experienced such thoroughness and raw honesty in an auto repair company before! Not only do they inspect your car, they have a website that all the information is uploaded to, pictures of all your parts, under the hood, carriage, etc. They document what they fix, what needs to be fixed and advise you of any "red or yellow" additional repairs needed in the near future with estimates. The receptionist who greeted and checked me in was very nice and professional, the waiting room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and updated. I couldn't say enough positive words about this shop. I took my suv to the dealership for my oil change since I have a service maintenance package. Service dept told me I needed $4,200 worth of repairs and services. I went with my gut and called OUR favorite place and they checked out our suv. Smh all those repairs were false and it was only one little part. Let's just say Ann spoke to this dealerships service manager and in polite words I am not being billed for none of the $4,200 quoted due to their manager looked at our suv off Ann's teams pictures and reporting to see his techs and service advisors were incorrect on their findings. I had a general idea of what I needed to have done and took my car there for an official multi point inspection. I called and spoke to Anne and she was genuinely friendly and efficient while booking my appointment. I arrived the following day at my appointment and was greeted by Kathy, one of the service advisors. From our initial point of contact she was also genuinely friendly and completely focused on getting my car checked in and at explaining what type of overall inspection the technicians were going to do. It was also clearly communicated to me that due to a high volume of vehicles my car wouldn't be ready the same day and I certainly appreciate my expectations being set for the vehicle to remain overnight. I received an email within a few hours of leaving my car with a detailed report with 4 categories ( see photos.) The report also comes with actual photos of the items needing attention and or repair. Kathy then called me and reviewed each item line by line. I was impressed. I was also pleasantly surprised to see on my report that there were no expensive repairs flagged as needing immediate attention and the quoted amount was definitely in line with what I was anticipating. I took my 2019 Expedition because the AC stopped working. I dropped the car off and was later told their machine was not working so I had to come pick up my car. I brought it back several days later and dropped it off again. I was told the front evaporator core was leaking and needed to be replaced for $3000. They also said the rear evaporator core was also likely leaking which would be $1800 more. This was in addition to the $500 I was already being charged for freon. I took the car back to think about it and took it to Bill Brandt Ford. They said it was likely just the rear. The had the part, diagnosed and fixed it in under a day for $1800. Everything now works perfectly. I can't believe the dealer saved me over $3,000. Not sure if Keep It New was trying to rip me off or they just screwed up, but either way I wouldn't take my car there for air conditioning service. read more
