Car had some very minor damage to the rear tailgate spoiler. Manager was helpful in arranging the repair and ordered the part for us which we paid for upfront. The part was wrong and the body shop did an ok job dressing up the damage (without asking our permission), we had to pay for unauthorized repair work done by the body shop and we were left with the wrong part and told to sort it out yourself! We took it back to Chevy (McCurley) but they have a $100 restocking fee which we were charged. When I brought it up with the Manager at Alvarez all I got was abuse and the phone slammed down! (Interesting that someone else was having a similar response when we were looking at their cars!) Overall, if you want customer service go to McCurley, if you just want to buy a car from the lot and hope all is OK then Alvarez will work like any other backstreet car dealer. When McCurley heard how Alvarez treated us, they personally refunded us with the $100 out of their own pocket as good will (that's customer service!). I've bought 3 of my last 4 cars from McCurley (Mercedes/Mercedes/Honda) and I know who I will be buying from next time!!

I was not told about the fee until after they were done with my car. I told them I was not expecting this because I didn't ask for it & they didn't show any care or seem apologetic about it. Poor customer service & unethical business practices. I've been here multiple times, but will not be coming back. A $250 charge is a lot of money to not inform your customer of until after the fact. Wes was attentive, caring, honest and saved me time and money whenever he could, in whatever way he could, no matter how busy he was. I was visiting out of town from Bend Oregon when the AC in my car completely busted. It was a huge repair (compressor) and everyone I called was booked solid. I literally called and texted about 10 people to find out how I could get this situation handled so I wouldn't have to drive 4 hours in the blaring summer sun with no AC in my car. And no one could get me in. Except Wes Ducat at Steve Tire & Auto Repair.
