Why can't this shop be in Flower Mound, Texas? We drove from Texas to Phoenix. The last day of the drive the car started shaking at high speeds. When we arrived in PHX I checked AAA for a recommended repair shop. My wife called the The Auto Shop and we were able to get an appointment the next morning. Mickey met my wife and asked about the problem. He offered transportation but we already had other arrangements. After she left the car Mickey kept in contact with us about the diagnosis and progress of the repair. When the car was ready Mickey called to schedule a ride back to the garage. My wife was picked up within a few minutes and driven to the shop. The bill was under the original estimate which was a pleasant surprise since most other shops went over the estimate, some without informing us about the overage. The car handles as well as it did the day I drove it off the dealer's lot, no problems at all. A few days later Mickey called to follow up on how we were doing and how the car was handling. After our return home we received a Thank You card from Mickey, nice touch. The customer service is outstanding and the shop is run in a professional manner. Don't ever hesitate to stop in and see Mickey for all of your car's maintenance. Heck, we drove all the way from Texas just to have our repairs done at The Auto Shop (g). read more

Thoughtful crew, and, Mickey the manager went WAY out of his way to help me with a very challenging suspension fix. In the end, rather than a patch, even though he'd put hours into finding parts, Mickey politely stated they couldn't handle THIS unusual problem. Remember, he already had the parts right there, but after research and discussions with his head mechanic, they weren't convinced this would solve my problem. I said, cool what do I owe you? He said "nothing." WOW! This is why I choose these guys for my Lexus, Toyota truck, and Chrysler. No matter what the make and model they'll treat you right. They do everything from engine replacements to oil changes. They prefer to keep your vehicle in top shape, but if you're on a budget, they will work with you to prioritize your dollars. On a side note a few weeks ago I was in the shop for an oil change. I watched them talk a guy out of a major repair proposed by another shop. Little back story: I'm from Portland, OR and have been stopping in various cities along the way en route to Austin, Tx. In L.A. Our altinator died, taking the battery with it. After purchasing a refurbished altinator from Auto Zone with a short, we found ourselves broke down in the desert 200 miles from Phoenix. AAA towed us to The Auto Shop, we arrived in the middle of the night and parked in front if their garage. The next day I got on the phone with Mickey and he was more than accommodating. The van had electrical issues and needed a new altinator/battery. Mickey sent one of his guys to Auto Zone, where he exchanged the bad altinator for a new one for us, and gave us the choice to purchase a battery from auto zone or sell us one of his. All said and done the van was diagnosed properly and the final bill was $25 less than what I was quoted. We are on the road again and everything is sound. From my experiences today I would unhesitantly return to the auto shop for service. read more

Once again The Auto Shop staff did an incredible job on my car. Once again my wife and I thanked our lucky stars that we know this company. Since we are not able to go out and buy a new car every time something happens, we need to put money in to our current ones. It makes us feel so much better knowing that The Auto Shop are the ones we can come to. They always treat us well and do fantastic work. They also offer a shuttle service. Without it, I might have missed a day-and-a-half of work. What a great service for their clients, and really, who goes out of their way for their clients like this anymore? Nobody likes to have to take their car in for repairs. I personally was scared to before I met The Auto Shop. My wife, son and daughter-in-law went to a Suns game on a Friday night. When we came out, my car started, but within minutes had stalled. The towing service recommended The Auto Shop, so it was towed there. The car had to sit there for the weekend due to them not being open on weekends. Spoke with Kurt on Monday morning. He started it, drove it, analyzed it, and could find nothing wrong.No codes to download either. The washed & vacuumed it and came and picked me up in it. We drove back and I settled the bill. It was just for the analysis. Exactly what Kurt said it was going to be. No surprises. I am a professional ex-mechanic, so knew where this bill could have gone. There is nothing worse then you car breaks down and you need it towed. I was lucky that the tow truck driver recommended me to this shop. They took my car in without an appointment. The belt broke on my car and a pulley had locked up. They sent there driver to get the parts to fix my car and had me back on my way in an hour and a half!!! Ive never sat in a repair shop before and really watched. There were several of there customers that came in when i was there. The shop staff was very friendly to them as well. If we have another auto shop as good as this in the Valley, we are fortunate indeed. The Auto Shop has been servicing my 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe since I moved here in 2010. It had 60k miles on it then. Today 135k miles and not a single breakdown or problem with the vehicle. Drives like a new car. My third time in, to get an oil change. I got a ride to work and a ride back from their shuttle. They told me in the next 5-10k miles I will need rear brakes replaced. It's nice to be able to plan for the repair. I have been to other shops that always tell me things have to be done RIGHT NOW! It seems like a shady operation to say the least, price quotes that don't match or reflect the actual work performed, sloppy work and dirt in my car when I picked it up. Would it kill the profit margin to clean my car before they return it to me? Would it kill the profit margin to apply the diagnosis fee to the work performed?
