Came to check this place out since I was staying at the hotel. Great service and pretty good Food. Beer was very good and the old fashion was on point.

After a poor experience at Build-a-Burger next door, we walked into Avenue Bar & Grill simply because it was nearby and we were trying to get lunch. I wish we had been in a different area of Milwaukee so we would have had another option, because our experience wasn't great. The food was surprisingly good, but that was the only redeeming thing about our visit. Maybe the staff at the Avenue have never had children eat in their restaurant (although I doubt that, as it is in a hotel). We walked in and were eventually greeted by a server who yelled "everyone just calm down and be quiet!". She probably saw the looks on our faces because she quickly backtracked and said she was talking to the other staff members who were nearby, but it definitely seemed like she was talking to my friend's two small children. I would have walked out, but as we had already struck out getting a table at Build-a-Burger and we were on a time crunch, we ended up staying. The restaurant was fairly empty, so we were able to sit at a booth, so the kids didn't need booster seats. I ended up ordering the Caprese BLT and waffle fries. The fries were solid, and the sandwich was pretty nice. My sister went with the lunch buffet and enjoyed the options at the salad bar. My friend went with the Cheddar Mac Melt, which looked interesting with the mac and cheese on the sandwich. She said it was good. The kids enjoyed their mac and cheese with fries and fruit. Our server ended up being the woman who had yelled when we first walked in. The service was just okay for the duration of our visit. She dropped off the bill right after we received our food, which was appreciated so we could leave at our leisure since it was the lunch hour, but it took quite a long time to return the card, and even longer to flag her down to request a couple of boxes. The manager(?), who at one point helped seat us, seemed like a pleasant man, but the server who yelled, probably at a woman who was 8 months pregnant and two small children, really spoiled the place for us. Although the food was good I wouldn't return.

Buffet was open early and hot! Hash was great and chorizo scramble had just enough kick without burning out the taste buds.

Really good food tonight. Fast too. The homemade soup of the day was a great way to start.

I had heard about the Tin Widow's holiday pop up being one of the best area, the hype was not wrong. From the entrance to the ceiling and walks, this place is the definition of deck the halls. Unless you get here right when they open it early in the holiday season, I would expect a crowd. The drink menu is so fun with holiday themed drinks served in matching glassware. You can even purchase the glass/mug for an additional fee. A lot of the cocktails looked to be batched cocktails which help with the bartender's efficiency. Highly recommend making this place a holiday stop. I'm also curious to stop in after the holidays to experience it without all the holiday decor.

They had several seasonal cocktails in special festive cups, which you could also buy to take home. I got the Cheery Cherry Chocosaurus, which was good, but pricey for what it was. Almost all the seasonal drinks were $15 each and didn't seem too big. The venue itself is medium sized, but feels crammed quickly. There's more people let in at a time than there is seating, so you have to move fast to get a seat. I'll likely come back during the summer to try something else.

We knew Brownstone would be the perfect place to celebrate. All positive feedback! 1. Cleanliness and Management The establishment is always clean. I was to witness the owner personally wiping down tables and adjusting furniture. Seeing an owner take such visible pride in their business and never being "too good" to work really stands out to me and sets a great tone for the venue. 2. Happy Hour, Drinks, and Vibe Their happy hour is absolutely amazing, with affordable prices and great options. It normally stops at 7:00 PM, but they extended it until 9:00 PM last night! The drinks were made to order, arrived shortly after ordering, and tasted great. They weren't so strong that you couldn't enjoy them, but they definitely packed a punch. The atmosphere was flawless thanks to the staff and 2 DJs who kept the music upbeat and perfect. The entire crowd was having a time, singing along on cue and swaying to the music. 3. The Food We ordered pasta and happy hour appetizers, and everything was delicious. From presentation to taste, the kitchen delivered exactly what we were hoping for. I have absolutely no complaints. It was another fantastic experience celebrating a great holiday with an even better crowd. To answer your question, will I return? Absolutely! In fact, I might even head back after Summerfest this weekend!

Still a big fan of Boone and Crocket…read more I love the masterful mix of taxidermy and chandeliers. I love that they do game nights in style with a big screen and lots of energy. I love that I can slip into a dimly lit booth with my date and enjoy a exquisitely mixed cocktail and maybe even a game of cribbage by candlelight. I truly love it all. I love that they've expanded the food truck offerings and have a small food truck park on their property. You can order from Taco Moto (and maybe others as well, we're just partial to Taco Moto) right from a QR code at your table or booth and they'll text you when your food is ready (which you're welcome to enjoy in Boone & Crocket). It's truly a magical bar on the lakefront with, have I mentioned? Plenty of parking to boot. Get to it!

There are plenty of little nooks and corners to hang out in small or larger groups. I'm sure it's extra good in the warmer months. They have a big patio area. The cocktails on tap were excellent - well balanced and tasty. I tried the Manhattan and the Negroni. They were also pretty reasonable. Service was good. I could really do without all the dead creatures hung everywhere though. It's just not that cool in 2026, even in Wisconsin. Maybe show some respect for animals.
