    First bird piña

Amazing bird shop I got my first bird ever from there ! They are knowledgeable they recommended me the best bird for me. I knew my bird was used to people and she was friendly because the girls interacted with them daily she was nourished properly and less than a year old with dna given . They gave me advice and recommendations . They package their own seed mixes . & free clippings nails and wings for life . Also have rewards and on your birthday they give you a free gift . Never had a dull moment coming here . Keep up the good work !

Located in historic Cauley Square the Aviary Burd Shop first opened in 1981. It is now the oldest and largest bird store in South Florida. Although I wasn't shopping for an exotic bird I am the mom of a parakeet named Hedwig so I was very interested in checking out this business on a recent trip to Cauley Square. In addition to rare breeds of birds you won't find in your average pet store they also sell everything you need to care for them food, cages, toys, books, and health items. Services they provide include boarding and microchipping. I fell in love with all of their birds. They had so much personality. I got to see a pink cockatoo for the first time. I especially loved visiting the nursery. Some of the birds were several thousand dollars. If you are looking for a particular breed they can accommodate you. It is worth checking out their website where they offer forums and coupons. A $40 yearly membership will entitle you to 20 percent off birds and products. Even though I was just window shopping the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. I would love to own an exotic bird one day but I don't have the time to devote to it now. If I am ever in the market I would definitely come here.

If you ever need a bird or bird supplies, this place is wonderful. My experience: I got a hand-raised baby cockatiel from them. He wasn't fully weaned, so they let me visit him as much as I wanted to socialize him. After I took him, they helped me continue to monitor him & have been there supporting me with his care ever since. They even helped me set up his cage so that his branches, bowls & toys are in a way that makes sense to him. They offer a lifetime of grooming & weighing. They have boarding services & sell the right kinds of toys & food for your type of bird. They are very knowledgeable & helpful (even on the phone whenever I had questions). I highly recommend them!

    Proof of purchase

Had a terrible experience today going to get my birds wings clipped and DNA tested, as I asked for pricing before services where done. owner was very rude when requesting proof of purchase I forgot to bring the paper and owner rudely was emphasizing that they provided me with one which I had a picture of but because of her attitude and approach towards me it was very off putting and made me question why should I even give money towards a business with an owner that is rude and accusatory to their client. as I was trying to explain that she was giving an off putting attitude she walked away and told me to get the fuck out... what a horrible way to represent your own business and treat ur clients who paid $400 for a bird from you. I Will never do business again at this place. And what's crazy is I was also looking to buy another companion for my bird thankfully I was able to see what a nasty person she is. Not only was she so nasty and rude she was being racist in front of a customer (my self) saying that Spanish sounds like "takakakaka" mocking the language.

I could not recommend this place more! Compared to Simbad's Birdhouse, this place is amazing. I bout a black headed caique from them and still use them for their boarding. They always answer the phone and were more than happy to let me see my bird until he was ready to come home.

I've been coming here for about 10 years, and my parents have been coming here since the 80s. Their passion about birds is so evident. We've brought blue and gold macaws, a lovebird, and our newest cockatiel (bought recently at the aviary) to have wings and nails clipped, and the staff has always been so helpful and knowledgeable. If you're looking to purchase a baby bird, these are the people to talk to. They raise them so well and truly care about them. Very clean place as well! Accessories are a bit expensive, but it's a pet store; fully expected! If you want convenience and specific knowledge, this is the place to go.

People who work in the aviary bird shop are very nice and friendly, specially Johana, Patricia and Marilyn. I had a situation with my bird and the owner Patricia was very compassionate and very helpful. I very much recommend the aviary. They are very knowledgeable about parrots. They have different birds, huge selections of toy, foods, and great place to sit outdoor and enjoy nature.

Wow we really were amaze with the aviary, their birds are so healthy and friendly. We were there to buy supplies and ended up falling in love with a Indigo Ringneck which eats out of our hands and his colors are very healthy. The staff not to mention are great and very helpful they were very informative and followed up with a phone call after we purchased the ringneck. Out daughter has a quaker and she brought it there to get trim wings and nails they were very compassionate. Definitely will make it our go to plsce for supplies and possible addition to the family. You can visit with your animals too we brought our Cockatoo and look forward soon visitng with our two macaws as well as Prince the ringneck. We really suggest you visit them, you never know and will come home with one of their babies too.

Talking about how bad the birds look and because they are caged. These young women must have never had a pet growing up. I can't imagine them being raised with respect. Talking about how Pet Super Market has given them free animals. Being a big business with high paying rents I doubt it very much they give anything away for free. They don't get it that the animals are not made and shipped from China. The pets come from local Breeders to all local stores in the area. So that being said says how dumb and stupid they sound when writing negative remarks about local business. Any business is monitored and licensed by federal and county agencies. If there is any wrong doing im sure they wouldn't be operating for more than 30 years. Get your priorities straight before bashing any business. I personally know and shop always at Roberts Pet Shop and can honestly say they are family owned and have the best care and prices. If you look around there are cameras recording with audio and extra cameras not in eye's view listening to your nonsense. Let's keep supporting our local small business.

Deeply concerned about the treatment of the birds and other animals at Redlands Koi & Gardens…read more During my visit, I observed multiple exotic birds being kept in conditions that appeared unsanitary and harmful to their health. Some food dishes were dirty and even had feces inside, many cages appeared to have little to no food available, and I witnessed birds trying to eat from empty bowls. I also observed dirty water feeders, including some with algae buildup, and in some cages there did not appear to be fresh water available. The birds also seemed to be fed mainly only black sunflower seeds, which is not an appropriate primary diet for parrots and similar birds. Birds are highly intelligent animals and need stimulation, toys, and proper daily care. I did not see toys or enrichment tools in the cages. It is even more troubling that this property operates as a wedding and event venue. Loud music, nighttime events, and constant disruption are not an appropriate environment for animals, especially sensitive exotic birds. I hope the owners do the right thing and hire a qualified professional to properly care for these birds. There have also been concerns raised about the treatment of birds at this property going back to 2023. A macaw that was reportedly showing signs of severe stress, where he plucked all his feathers out. That bird is no longer there, which adds to the concern about the overall welfare of the exotic birds kept on site. (Plumage destructive behavior; which stemmed from boredom, stress, improper diet, and/or illness.)

The surroundings for such events are beautiful and I had an amazing experience and enjoyed seeing the beautiful Koi's. So nice that dogs are welcome too, just couldn't give it the 5 stars based on seeing some of the poor parrots imprisoned in cages way too small with no stimulation which has caused them to start plucking themselves. Those big Macaw's definitely deserve to be in a space big enough to fly or the cages would be better used for smaller birds if any. Unfortunately seeing those birds in cages takes away from what could have been an amazing experience.

When we arrived, we went to the register to ask where the chicks were. We were the only customers in the store at the time, while all three employees were on phone calls. A gentleman walked in after us and stood to the side. When one employee got off the phone and asked "who's next," we stepped forward--only to be told we were not next and that there was a "line." There was no visible line, no clear signage, and we had been standing directly in front of the register the entire time. This is not a large store--it's a small space where basic awareness should make the order obvious. The man who arrived after us then attempted to move ahead, and I had to clarify that we had been waiting. Instead of handling it professionally, the employee responded dismissively. When I finally asked where the chicks were, I was told "outside," with no effort to assist further. Outside, no one initially helped us. Eventually, a young employee approached and was polite, helpful, and allowed us to select a chick ourselves. As first-time customers in this type of setting, we relied on the guidance we were given. Then an older employee, identified as "Tete," approached in an aggressive and confrontational manner, raising her voice at both the employee and myself. She escalated the situation unnecessarily and even placed her hands on my shoulder, which is completely inappropriate. She also began speaking to me in broken Spanish despite me speaking English the entire time, which felt like an unfounded assumption. If there are rules about not touching the chicks, that needs to be clearly communicated and consistently enforced--not handled through public confrontation. What made this worse is that the employee assisting me--and even a supervisor--appeared confused by her reaction, stating that this was how they normally handle things. That inconsistency reflects a clear lack of training and management oversight. I also couldn't ignore the condition of many of the chicks, with a noticeable number appearing to have pasty vent issues, which raises concerns about their care. I ultimately chose not to make a purchase. I will not spend money in a place where customers are treated this way. This was not a product issue--it was a failure in professionalism, training, and management. If you're considering a feed store, I would strongly recommend looking in Broward instead. The difference in atmosphere and customer service is worth the drive.
