Not the best bar in the neighborhood. The do have free pool on Mondays after 8pm. I went there thinking it was earlier thinking it was free all day and there were more kids under 4 than there were customers in the facility. I was really confused! The only thing that is free is the shuffle board all the time. Jäger shots are $8, ridiculous. The hot dog restaurant is a few doors down which super plus for food. read more

Great place for shuffleboard and I have always met really nice people there. Jay, the bartender on Fridays, bald, goatee, looks like a biker, very COOOL dude. HOWEVER when this place closes...they are very serious about getting the hell out. I digress, they have some pool tables and people are always playing. The juke box has a great wide selection and they have a resident ol'guy at the end of the bar w/his bucket of beer. I particularly enjoy the fact that the bathrooms, ok the ladies since I have never visited the mens, is clean. this place is racist. it has been a change in ownership recently.me and my wife, frequently went in to play pool under old ownership with no problem. since new owners took over my wife and i went to play pool but was kicked off our table because they wanted the table in which we still had 30 min before the tournament. but the tournament so called director was not employed and called me and wife racial names. remember my wife is white and she made very racial comments to her.and the owner refused to serve us after the fact she refused to give us proper information regarding another racist now employed by them. we have been in there several more times since the tournament issue and was served by the new owner. went in today and she rfused service and regarding a 4 month old incident. racism at its finest at this place. bar is changing its name but same location and racist attitude now they are owners. but never was when they was only the management read more

Just moved to Dublin and was checking out new bars. I ordered a couple bloody Mary's from Tracy and they were amazing.

I been searching for a pub, though I wish I lived in Dublin because this would be my place to hang out, it has a few pool tables, calm friendly clientele and nice bartenders, good music and a nice place to relax and chill. I liked that it has an Irish theme, had a good time there on a pre St Patty's day gathering with the fellas parking was great and easy, I guess I was lucky, they also have shuffleboard as well. I wish there was more to write but basically a nice place to have a good drink or beer! read more

Great spot to stop! Stopped into this spot to meet some friends this past Friday night around 10pm. This joint is awesome! The tiny hot blue haired tender was dancing behind a packed bar and still greeted us quickly with a smile! Everyone there was out of control friendly, and seemed to be having just as much fun as we were. Wish this clutch place was closer to my town, I'd be there more often. I will be back next time I am in town, hopefully it wasn't a fluke. And next time Imma get the tenders name!! read more

This is not a solid 4 Stars. Not even close. Bartenders were not exactly friendly people. We went there to play shuffle board during a scheduled "pool league night". Not knowing their scheduled events of course. All the locals claim to own the bar as we were not welcomed. Not friendly to outsiders. We encouraged the bartender to turn up the music; however we were turned down because the locals needed quite time at a BAR during a professional pool league!!!!! Please. You are located in Dublin. Towards the end of the night the owner of the bar asked us politely to leave. Don't expect another dime from us. And I hope to save your dime too! read more

I went to Evie's last night for the second time. It is the only bar I can walk to from my house. The first time I went the bar was dead, no more than ten patrons the entire night. Last night was busier, 25 to 30 people. The bar has a jukebox so I decided to spend some of MY money and listen to some music that I enjoy. What a mistake! I have never been treated with such hostility in my life. I am aware that my musical tastes do not fit into the societal norms, however, I was shocked at the anger the bar tender and most of the patrons exhibited because they were exposed to some jazz music. Halfway into the second song, the patrons were com planing and they started skipping my selections. How rude! I tolerate music I don't enjoy everywhere I go. Bars, restaurants, grocery stores , doctors' offices, elevators, airports, coffee shops, gas stations, etc.... I never complain. What is wrong with our society? I play a few jazz tunes and the bar tender is yelling at me because nobody likes the music. WHO CARES? I am a paying customer. If you don't like music don't have a jukebox. How is it possible people are so offended and outraged by music that has a REAL piano and doesn't have any lyrics? IT'S JUST MUSIC!!! I will be back however. we came here after Caps & Taps.. I was like WTF! this place looks sketchy.. for Dublin that is... I am surprised this is still open. the people look very creepy.. large group of over 50 in here. this one old guy came up and tried to buy me a drink within me being there for about 15 seconds. not to mention he was like 2 times older than me and could pass as my grandpa. the pool table was a bit trashed and the placed smelled like it needed a deep cleansing.. this is a true local watering hole. the jukebox was the only cool thing in here. I must say the drinks were either way to strong or very watered down. no consistency.. I feel this place is due for a full makeover... lets have a REBOOT and I will come back and try it out again.... read more

Evies is a good bar. From what I've heard, its a female owned bar, so the bathroom is clean ladies and there is a hook next to the sink for your purse while you wash your hands! I appreciate that little attention to detail! This doesn't mean that male owned bars don't have clean bathrooms, but you know how dive bar bathrooms can be?!?! This is one of my favorite bars ever!!!!! If you want to go to a place where you instantly feel like your at home this is where you should go!!!! I have been going there for 8 years now and can honestly say, I have never once had a bad time. You always get service with a smile and the bartenders there take the time to get to know you, if that's what you like, if not they serve you your drink and let you be on your merry way!! With nice pool tables, shuffle board and the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in a bar, one can see why this establishment has made it through even the worst of the economy. Evies is a bar ran on pride, not just with the owner but with the bartenders as well. No matter how busy it gets, the bartenders even when they are working by themselves make sure you are taken care of and you rarely have to wait.
