Came here for a late happy hour after driving back from LA. We were so hungry as it was about 9:30pm and have not eaten dinner. I was shocked to see the restaurant pretty crowded for so late on a Thursday night. It was loud and busting in here. We sat at the bar. At first the bartender was attentive. Got our first order of rinks and food. Once the food came out she came by to ask if everything was fine and it was. We noticed a lot of regulars came in as she knew people by name. However, we finished our first drink and wanted a 2nd, but she never came back. We see her attending her regulars and neglecting us on our side of the bar. She walked by a couple times and we tried to get her attention by raising our hand and saying "excuse me" but she ignored us or did not notice. 20 mins of this and we were frustrated. The regular next to us noticed and saw us this whole time. So he said "JULIE!" and she came over and he said they need you. And at this time we just said give us the check and a box. We did not want another drink anymore and just wanted to get out of there. The guy said to just call her name next time if this happens again. For a chain spot, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is a very solid option where I consistently find myself enjoying the food, ambiance, and service. We had dinner here last night and really enjoyed it! We started off with the 3 for $25 appetizer deal and got the cucumbers, hot honey feta dip, and Brussels sprouts. They were all yummy, but I will say I deeply miss the queso you used to have! Our mains were all yummy and consistent. I tried the new Burrata and Spring Veggie Pasta, which is my new favorite entrée. It was fresh and delicious! Great Western restaurant spread out for hosting plenty, we five guys enjoyed a wall booth, found a massive menu stuffed with variety and mostly familiar variations on all sorts. Staff was fantastic. We got a good selection, rice bowl, chicken pot pie, korena bbq tacos, and yuzu cheesecake. Twas fantastic, a tad small on the apps but that's how it seems to go most places. When checking in for a lunch reservation the host was not super welcoming and made me wait 10 minutes despite 75% of the restaurant being empty, and I was on time for the reservation. We had a great waitress for the meal but the person who really shined was Amber! After eating our meal, my sister ordered something to go, and it was gonna take about 18 minutes. After about 15 minutes, I went to the pick up area and it wasn't ready so I came back another five minutes later and asked a waitress if the order had gone through and she was a bit dismissive. I was a little annoyed at the wait so far (for just appetizers), and then it took - not exaggerating - 25 minutes before I saw my server again, and I had to go up to the front desk to ask for the check. Checked out Lazy Dog for their dinner and had a blast! It's such a warm welcoming with their indoor and outdoor seating options. The fireplaces outside is one of my favorite place to sit for a meal or drinks. Even though it was prime time, the staff was on it and got us a table in under 10 minutes. Lazy Dog is great. Located in the Dublin Hacienda plaza, right across the parking lot from the Regal Hacienda theater, it's a great spot to have dinner before or after seeing a movie. They have many locations, throughout California and beyond, but Dublin is the only one we've frequented so far. It's a lively place, there's always a good number of people, and an upbeat vibe. They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. Many shareable appetizers to choose from, as well as larger mains, including salads, noodle dishes, burgers, and sandwiches. They have photos of dogs on the walls - I mean how can you not love that? Dogs are the best people ever. Service is great. The young lady working behind the bar on Saturday night with dark hair and glasses (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) is so nice, very pleasant to interact with. Great service truly makes all the difference. They are open until midnight, which is great. More places need to stay open later. I've been in a handful of times, but usually for a beverage and appetizer with friends. (Candied bacon is always the go to, along with the occasional tots.) Cocktails are okay and fairly hit or miss. This trip- Had the cucumber jalapeño margarita that was supposed to come with a tamarind candy straw. There was none (but definitely not a component that would make or break the drink to begin with.) It basically just tasted like margarita mix with cucumber juice poured in. Wouldn't order it again. I also did the Mediterranean bowl which was quite bland. The chicken overall was dry and the rice just had no seasoned life to it. The feta gave it a nice push to at least be a decent enough lunch bite. Not a dish I'll ever revisit, however. The jam with the candied bacon is actually a great touch. However I was not sold on the peanut butter- I basically had the issue you'd expect of the peanut butter/bread sticking to your mouth and overpowering the burger. That being said, the burgers were cooked well (and the two other gals in my party, who ordered different burgers, were really happy with the quality). S'more brownie came out warm and had the best crispy edges! A wonderful meal and a good sized portion! I didn't want something too heavy, so I got their blackened chicken burrito bowl, but my friends and partner got their sticky ribs and burgers. My burrito bowl was delicious and felt like a very cohesive dish! A little spicy for me, but I do have a weak spice tolerance. The ribs were crispy and easy to chew, and according to my partner, each bite of his black blue burger was perfect! What made our dining experience was our server. We webt to lazy dog at Dublin on a Wednesday night for drinks and apetizers. The menu looks very good with amazing selection of bite food and apetizers to go with the drinks. My wife and I ordered lemon tater tots, chicken nuggets, Thai noodles and teriyaki bowl with tofu. All these dishes came out really good. The noodle had lots of shrimp a decent chicken and the quantity was really good for the price. The teriyaki bowl with Tofu was 5 out of 5 and the flavors were truly remarkable. The chicken nuggets were above average. The drinks were strong. My wife ordered a margarita and I ordered an old fashioned. Really enjoyed the drinks too.
