The Lazy Dog patio is always perfect for a nice warm summer day! This time it was a Sunday lunch so it was packed but we made a reservation on OpenTable and were seated within 10 mins of arriving. Bring a pooch and they are well taken care of with water bowls and treats! We didn't have one this time but it was still nice to watch and play with the other pooches there. Right now they have a fireside favorites menu -- $15 only for an entree and side and dessert! I got the burger (with veggie patty) with fries (elevated to truffle fries) and banana pudding. Everything was excellent! We also got the shrimp tacos which was pretty good -- not as good as at the local taqueria but still not bad. This is the most dog friendly (patio) restaurant ever!! Even a dog menu! (Consisting of a burger patty or a chicken breast and rice with peas) My doodle gave it 5 paws up! The service was great. Our waiter was very prompt. Food- the tots and fries were killer. We ordered the 1/4 lb burger off the happy hour menu and it was decent. The lettuce wraps were not my favorite. Came here for a late happy hour after driving back from LA. We were so hungry as it was about 9:30pm and have not eaten dinner. I was shocked to see the restaurant pretty crowded for so late on a Thursday night. It was loud and busting in here. We sat at the bar. At first the bartender was attentive. Got our first order of rinks and food. Once the food came out she came by to ask if everything was fine and it was. We noticed a lot of regulars came in as she knew people by name. However, we finished our first drink and wanted a 2nd, but she never came back. We see her attending her regulars and neglecting us on our side of the bar. She walked by a couple times and we tried to get her attention by raising our hand and saying "excuse me" but she ignored us or did not notice. 20 mins of this and we were frustrated. The regular next to us noticed and saw us this whole time. So he said "JULIE!" and she came over and he said they need you. And at this time we just said give us the check and a box. We did not want another drink anymore and just wanted to get out of there. The guy said to just call her name next time if this happens again. Love the deals that they have! We opted for the small trio for $25. We got the Bacon candy, Buffalo nuggets, and Brussel sprouts. The sprouts are my favorite! When we go there, it was very busy, BUT we didn't have to wait. Our server Jaiden (hope I spelled that right) was great! She was very attentive, polite, and helpful. The place reminds me of a brewery meets great wolf lodge lol We ordered the hot honey feta dip and it was the best thing from the entire meal! The shrimp tacos were really good as well and the grilled cheese w/ tomato soup. I didn't really like the fudge brownie sundae, because it tasted like cinnamon. For a chain spot, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is a very solid option where I consistently find myself enjoying the food, ambiance, and service. We had dinner here last night and really enjoyed it! We started off with the 3 for $25 appetizer deal and got the cucumbers, hot honey feta dip, and Brussels sprouts. They were all yummy, but I will say I deeply miss the queso you used to have! Our mains were all yummy and consistent. I tried the new Burrata and Spring Veggie Pasta, which is my new favorite entrée. It was fresh and delicious! Great Western restaurant spread out for hosting plenty, we five guys enjoyed a wall booth, found a massive menu stuffed with variety and mostly familiar variations on all sorts. Staff was fantastic. We got a good selection, rice bowl, chicken pot pie, korena bbq tacos, and yuzu cheesecake. Twas fantastic, a tad small on the apps but that's how it seems to go most places. I called to let them know, and Candice answered. She was so apologetic, even though this wasn't anything she did wrong. She asked what my car looked like, brought my food right out to me, and apologized again on top of it. Candice's customer service was wonderful -- kind, attentive, and genuinely caring about making it right even when the situation wasn't her fault. People like her are the reason a place stands out. The place is big and it has a nice outdoor areas for people to dine with their furry kids. The menu is extensive with everything you can think of. They also have a bar with tons of alcoholic drinks. The food here is mediocre at best. I tried the tikka masala meat balls, chicken pot pie and sweet and spicy ribs. The masala sauce was decent but the meat balls were themselves flavorless and dry. The pot pie was absolutely great looking but bland beyond belief. I ended up adding a significant amount of salt to try to squeeze some flavor out of it but it was pretty futile. Now the ribs... they Flash fry the ribs which is basically deep fried in oil. IMO this was a food crime. The whole rib was a crunchy fried mess. About as nutritious as deep fried ice cream. I ordered the buffalo wings which were nice and crispy tossed in a buffalo sauce. Very good. Lazy Dog is great. Located in the Dublin Hacienda plaza, right across the parking lot from the Regal Hacienda theater, it's a great spot to have dinner before or after seeing a movie. They have many locations, throughout California and beyond, but Dublin is the only one we've frequented so far. It's a lively place, there's always a good number of people, and an upbeat vibe. They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. Many shareable appetizers to choose from, as well as larger mains, including salads, noodle dishes, burgers, and sandwiches. They have photos of dogs on the walls - I mean how can you not love that? Dogs are the best people ever. Service is great. The young lady working behind the bar on Saturday night with dark hair and glasses (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) is so nice, very pleasant to interact with. Great service truly makes all the difference. They are open until midnight, which is great. More places need to stay open later. The menu looks appetizing with a big selection that should suit every person's taste. I chose the Mediterranean chicken bowl. I was hungry and did ask if portion was good and waiter said yes. When my bowl arrived, I was so disappointed. In my bowl, there were 5 little condiment cups - a cup for the tzatziki sauce, a cup for the red pepper hummus, a cup with 4 halved kalamata olives, a cup of feta, and a cup with tomatoes and cucumbers. Don't be fooled by the restaurant's photo. When you remove all five cups, you are left with very little. I mean VERY little. The grilled chicken was seriously 1/4 of a chicken breast - like 8 little pieces. Where is the pita to go with the hummus, or even chips. To boot, I have been sick since eating here. This trip- Had the cucumber jalapeño margarita that was supposed to come with a tamarind candy straw. There was none (but definitely not a component that would make or break the drink to begin with.) It basically just tasted like margarita mix with cucumber juice poured in. Wouldn't order it again. I also did the Mediterranean bowl which was quite bland. The chicken overall was dry and the rice just had no seasoned life to it. The feta gave it a nice push to at least be a decent enough lunch bite. Not a dish I'll ever revisit, however. The jam with the candied bacon is actually a great touch. However I was not sold on the peanut butter- I basically had the issue you'd expect of the peanut butter/bread sticking to your mouth and overpowering the burger. That being said, the burgers were cooked well (and the two other gals in my party, who ordered different burgers, were really happy with the quality). Checked out Lazy Dog for their dinner and had a blast! It's such a warm welcoming with their indoor and outdoor seating options. The fireplaces outside is one of my favorite place to sit for a meal or drinks. Even though it was prime time, the staff was on it and got us a table in under 10 minutes.
