Love this dive bar! Like every good hole in the wall spot, it's mostly regulars but they made us feel welcome when we walked in the door. What a great little Keller find! No children allowed but you wouldn't expect anything different from a bar and grill. The food menu is simple with burgers, wings, and mozzarella sticks while there is no formal drink menu. The ambiance is great for catching up with friends, nice decor, great music, and plenty of room. There's a section with two pool tables that are $1/ game and they have a nice set up for playing darts. The wings come out hot and fresh with ranch or blue cheese sauce, additional sauces are .50 while the burgers come with fries although if you ask for mayo and mustard you may have to ask more than once. Overall this is a great way to unwind and just hang out when you're in the area but service could use some improvement. read more

I need to start by explaining the 3 stars (A-OK) first. My brother and I only stopped in for a beer. We also had some chips and salsa, and later played some darts. That was indeed A-OK. Met the bartender/cook/owner, and he's a super nice guy. Loved the story as to why he decide to have so many dart boards. Now that I think of it, that reason alone is worth another star! Yay, I'm a fan! So chips and salsa is not really a benchmark for food, but I saw the wings and burgers, and they looked good. I plan to come back and give those a try. Bottom line: I am looking forward to my next visit. PS. Music was not too loud, but we were there just after lunch time. read more

A great local spot! $3 Aluminum Cowboy beers from a local brewery in Grapevine all the time! And karaoke is a blast on Wednesdays - the $2.50 street tacos are great. The half priced burgers on Thursday are also excellent (and they even come with fries). Steve is the best chef/owner - great food. I have driven past this place several times and decided to give it a try with some buddies after seeing its excellent yelp reviews. To say this place lived up to the rating is an understatement. The owner Kent and his family literally do everything. His kids are the bartenders/servers and he cooks all the food. The menu is limited but I believe the philosophy is to do what few items they have the best, and they were excellent. They were constantly checking on us and making us feel welcome, just great people. The bar itself is very simple as well. Not 1000 options but has everything you could want for a good night out with the boys or a low key date night with your spouse. Lots of space, plenty of tables and several bar game options to pass the time while you enjoy an ice cold beer and watch the game. I will definitely be coming back to this place. My wife and I had a good time at The Backstreet Bar and Grill. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and cleanliness of the bar and the staff was very nice. The reason why I took off 2 stars was due to the lack of options on tap for beer (only 3 that night) as well as the inability to make slightly complicated mixed drinks like an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. We ordered Chips and Queso and I was honestly surprised when the chips came out warm, that was awesome. The Queso on the other hand, honestly tasted like slightly better nacho cheese dip from a ballpark. Not going to lie..if you're in the mood for that (like watching a game) I think they would be great and hit the spot. When not watching a game I was looking for something that tasted a little better. We likely won't go back by ourselves but if we were invited to go out, we wouldn't hesitate. read more

Great Neighborhood Bar! Cheap beer, good food and non smoking! They have a juke box and two pool tables. Atmosphere was fun, and even though I wasn't a regular, they treated me good. Music plays at a super-loud volume we think in order to help patrons avoid the constant yelling of 4 letter words from the "regulars". Never thought a grown female shouting F.. you was acceptable, not for a man either. Not a place for kids. Burgers were big, nothing super special - old-fashioned style. Fries were decent. However, between the obviously intoxicated regulars yelling at each other over the very loud music, all 4-letter words acceptable to use, evidently. Probably won't make a return visit for at least a year and see where this bar is going. It makes me miss the previous cafe that was there for years a long time ago - JR's. read more
