This was our first time at The Sicilian Butcher and we had a great time! Our server was Avary who was so attentive and such a sweetheart. She walked us through the menu and gave some recommendations. We had the Chef Joey Cabernet which was delicious. Next we ordered the charcuterie plate with the two procuittos (cooked and cured), truffle pecorino, and smoked Gouda. The boards were HUGE! I wish I had taken a pic. My husband and uncle both got the steak which looked delicious. My aunt got the lasagna and said it was really good. I built my own with the parm cream sauce and chicken parm meatballs- Avary said that was almost exactly her order and it was truly delicious. The portions were generous so we all had leftovers to bring home. Last was the cannoli experience which was so yummy and fun. It came with 6 mini cannolis in the order and plenty of fillings and garnishes to go around. Overall it was a delicious dinner and wonderful experience. We did the "make your own pasta" although it wasn't called that, with picking your own meatball, pasta sauce and type of pasta. Ethan was our server and we had lots of questions and he answered a lot of questions we had about the sauces and he answered them well. I had the tony's steak meatball with the Parmesan cream sauce and gnocchi and it was to DIE for. I also would like to try basil pesto or vodka sauce but the cream sauce was so insanely good with the pillowy gnocchi that I just don't think I could bear to not get it every time. I definitely would try the sausage meatballs, which my husband got and they were good. The steak meatballs were good but I really like steak-- I think it needs to be your thing. We've wanted to try this place for awhile but either a waiting list or other options made it not happen til now. We were seated immediately and we reviewed the menu. There are various options, including steaks, pastas, and create your own options. I opted for the lasagna ($26) and my wife had the build your own with a steak mix meatball and the flower-like pasta with a cream sauce. The food arrived about 3 minutes after we ordered, so it was amazingly fast. In short, the lasagna was good and was a large portion, but honestly it wasn't anything special. My wife exclaimed that the Limoncello Spritz ($11) is the best drink she's ever had. Order the rigatoni pasta Trio ($12) with a couple of three dollar meatballs/sauces of your choosing on the side. Cheap amazing eats - easily a pound of fresh pasta. Be sure to order a meatball with the Cacio e pepe sauce. Save him for a freshly made cappuccino to sip with your toasted lobster tail filled with Nutella from the bakery-coffee bar inside the restaurant. My sister and I decided to surprise my wife with a retirement party at The Sicilian Butcher. I had been there previously for a Yelp Elite event and had been waiting to return. Hagen, our server during our dining experience, was cordial when he introduced himself. He inquired if we'd dined at the restaurant before and it we had any questions about the menu. I mentioned to him that I had attended a Yelp event previously at the restaurant. The decor of The Sicilian Butcher is beautifully appointed. The restaurant has a HUGE outdoor patio area with canvas that can be dropped down to close it in. It's great for banquets, etc. After looking over the menu, our table started out with some phenomenal appetizers. Fresh baked bread with garlic butter, a Ferris wheel of several different meatballs and bruschetta. We probably overdid it with the pre-lunch appetizers. I started wondering if we were going to have room for our lunch entrees. There was quite a variety of entrees ordered. I was sure there would be plenty of to-go boxes needed. I decided on the "Build Your Own Pasta" entree. I chose a Truffle mushroom sauce with creste de gallo pasta. My sister opted for the 'Fig & Pig' Ciabatta sandwich, my wife and brother-in-law, Chicken Parm with rigatoni, my nephew, Spaghetti with Vodka sauce, Lobster Bisque, side green salad. Really nice experience at The Sicilian Butcher. We arrived early to check out what they have to offer. The overall vibe is really fun and it's decorated in classic modern Italian decor. We sat at the bar at around 5:00pm - 6:30pm and it's a nice setting except it's where all the employees gather and talk it up before customers arrive. Was a bit annoying. The triple pasta was really good, so red sauce, parmesan cheese and pesto. The pasta was cooked al dente and it's enough for 2 people. We would order this again. The calamari looked great but was hard to chew, felt like I was eating rubber bands. I think it was overcooked. I don't usually order this at restaurants when it's just me eating this dish because the portions are so large and the husband does not like seafood however since the was on the happy hour menu and reasonably priced I gave it a try. Maybe it was bad timing...or left over from the day before, I don't know. We visited the dessert shop and it was fun with Gelato, personalized Cannoli's with cookies and pastries. This was 5 stars! The food was great, I don't know why we made reservations, they had our table ready but we still sat for 10 minutes for no reason, guess they were a little slammed for Valentine's. Our waiter was amazing, he fixed our drink order, we didn't get charged but there was a mishap with our order twice. Anyways, we tried some of the specials, the lobster ravioli was soft and flavorful, the shrimp was also cooked perfectly. I also had some salmon, it was alright and cooked properly but wish they had some sides with it. Also had their Frittos? So basically a plate of fried seafood, but it was delicious. Ambiance was cozy but since it was Valentine's it was packed. Also they need to fix the small tables, ours and the couple next to us had it rocking, so each of us had to step on the legs to balance the table. A few things... I generally don't like to leave 1 star reviews because I understand this is someone's livelihood but I won't be back to Sicilian Butcher. I was setting up a to go order and noticed Carbonara wasn't an available choice; so I called to see if it was still on the menu. The hostess said it was and told me what the item was Rigatoni Alla Zozzana (which for the record ISN'T Carbonara) taking her for her word I ordered it. Upon walking into the restaurant there were several people trying to get the hostesses attention (who all seemed to be way more into their own conversation than doing their job). I asked where I could get to go orders and the girl with glasses simply pointed and returned to what clearly was a pressing discussion of not helping out patrons. Upon returning home, I see I did not receive Carbonara, the $14 Caesar salad is in no way worth the amount of money being charged for it. With that said, for the overall cost vs what you get... I was seriously craving pasta and had been looking forward to trying this place for a while. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The ambiance, the vibe, the overall setup, everything feels inviting and well thought out. There is outdoor seating available, and we were seated promptly. Our server was incredibly sweet and even gave us a full rundown of the menu, which I appreciated. I started with the cured meats and cheese board. The presentation could have been elevated a bit, but overall the combination worked well. My only note is that there were only four cheese options to choose from, which felt somewhat limited. Regardless, really enjoyed it as a starter. For entrées, I was super excited to build my own pasta bowl. That was ultimately what drew me in. So we got a signature dish, the Rigatoni alla Zozzana, and this one was quite good. The pasta was cooked el dente, the flavors tasted fresh, and added shrimp which paired nicely. No complaints there. Now, onto the build-your-own selections. - Pappardelle with truffle mushroom sauce and breaded chicken: The breaded chicken was cooked perfectly and had great texture. Unfortunately, the sauce was overwhelming and far too liquidy. It lacked the creamy consistency you would expect from a truffle mushroom sauce and did not cling to the pasta properly. The balance was off, and I was unable to finish it. - Paccheri with basil pesto sauce and chicken parmigiana meatballs: The meatballs were excellent, great flavor, well seasoned, and beautifully presented. However, the dish suffered from two major issues. There was barely any sauce, which made the pasta feel dry, and the pasta itself was undercooked and noticeably cold. Texture matters in pasta, and this one missed the mark. - Gnocchi with vodka sauce and Uncle Arthur's sausage: The sausage was very flavorful and cooked well. The vodka sauce had the right amount of richness and was properly balanced in both quantity and taste. However, the gnocchi was severely overcooked, which completely changed the texture and made the dish fall flat. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. I went in with high expectations and was genuinely excited. The concept of building your own pasta bowl is appealing, but consistency is key. Some dishes had too much sauce, others had almost none. Some pasta was undercooked, others overcooked. It felt inconsistent and lacked execution. I skipped dessert as I wanted to try the Sicilian café next door, where I had an excellent experience and thoroughly enjoyed my espresso & gelatos. Although same, the meatballs not good. My friend pointed out no free bread. Which I guess I didn't notice till now. For our lunch being $75 + for JUST pasta and some meatballs.... It was very lack luster. We did come back for some cannolis during their happy hr which did not disappoint. We got a tiramisu and pistachio cannoli. They were very good! I half expected her to walk out and tell me to eat more. And listen... if you go, you MUST get the spaghetti and meatballs. Those meatballs? Soft, tender, and dangerously delicious. The kind of dish that makes you question every other meatball you've ever had in your life. For my entrée, I went with the NY strip topped with chimichurri, paired with an arugula salad and that glorious rigatoni à la vodka--basically a plate that said, "Diet? Never heard of her." My wife ordered the risotto à la pescatore. Slightly spicy and absolutely phenomenal. Now... she does have very refined taste buds (she's a dentist AND an amazing cook... not quite MasterChef yet, but we're getting there ). My husband is born and raised in italia and so he is a pasta snob. We rarely eat out at Italian restaurants because they just aren't as good as he can make it. Well someone told him about this new place in north Fort Worth so we decided to give it a try for his birthday. Best decision of the year so far. Everything from the apps to the entrees to the desserts were exceptional. We ate like kings. And let me tell you that you know an Italian restaurant is legit if the chef comes out to talk to you. Chef Omar is amazing and we could not recommend this place more. It is so good that we went back for a Mother's Day dinner with all the kids and grands and everyone was happy as clams. This spot opened some months ago in an HEB shopping center near us and we went on a Yelp whim and were pleasantly surprised. Everything here is made in house (except the Gelato) and the food tastes like it. Atmosphere is casual with a subtle fine dining flourish that feels clean and professional. In our two visits so far, our servers were personable and provide a positive experience. The menu requires some explanation, and has a lot to explore. We've tried the Menage a Trois and the Shrimp Alla Vodka Both were excellent. There is a dessert case case with pastries, cakes, cannoli's and gelato. We went in on a Thursday afternoon for a early dinner. The place was filled and hopping, but we had no problems finding a seat. Our waitress Dusty, met us quickly, grabbed us some waters, and recommended the Sicilian, their version of an Old-Fashioned, and it was awesome! We ordered the Choose 4 Bruchetta, which Dusty allowed us to do 2 Whipped Ricotta with 2 Fig and Pear! These things were MONEY! Highly recommend. She asked if we were ready for entrees, and we were hesitant. I don't like my entree coming out with my appetizer. She said she would hold it, and sure enough... someone else grabbed it, and brought the entree with the appetizer. I tell the story because the sauce was broken, and Dusty took it away immediately. We came in for a Sunday date with the kids at home as it was nice and not pressured and not rushed and relaxing. The decor is relaxed modern but elegant. We were seated and served water quickly. We had an app order that with normal timing felt like it took a while but it really didn't. We had a glass of wine and got to enjoy it. We sat and talked and were not rushed to get our food order. Once we ordered it took what seemed like a while to come but was not really that long. We dined and relaxed and talked with no feeling of pressure or rushed mess. We got the flaming cheese dish which I think needs some tweaking. Our server of this dish almost caught my wife's eyebrows with the flame. The cheese needs to come out more melted but is very flavorful. The make your own meatball dish my wife got was amazing and a really cool feature. My lasagna was one of the best I have had most anywhere. It was 12 layers(yes I counted) and was so light and when I cut it with my fork it sliced right through. This is a must go to spot. Average at its best. they try to go for that classic neighborhood upscale italian restaurant but failed to do so. with the decor with the table cloths and the alignment. and the food is average at it best. definitely have the potential to be a fine dining experience. the best part about the restaurant is ice cream shop, and coffee bar. i would definitely go here for the desert. the service is good and servers are attentive. read more

The Sicilian butcher is amazing. My 2nd time here and all is still perfect. The atmosphere is Italian and friendly - filled with wonderful music. All decor is white and black trimmed in red. I had the appetizer zeppole cacio e pepe and a glass of the red house wine. Of course I couldn't just stop there. I had lunch as well, and ordered the braised ribs. OK ok ok I also ordered the wedding cookies (to go). If you haven't had them before, get them -- to die for!!! The service is always beyond exceptional. Our server, Brook, was divine! She was so attentive and made sure everything was perfect for my kiddos and myself. There IS a kid's menu! Which I totally wasn't expecting. I had prepared to share a big entree and hope they didn't throw a fit. But no need! Brook offered me a BRAND NEW lunch menu with discounted pricing by the way! $27 for a salad, your entree choice and dessert choice! I ordered the chopped salad which was THE best I've ever had. It had pepperoncinis, meat, cubed cheese, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, and olives. A literal charcuterie board in salad-form!! For the entree from the lunch menu, I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and string fries. So good!! The bread for the sandwich was ALOT of bread, I ended up cutting off pieces of the chicken and just eating it with smaller pieces of the bun. We had leftovers and were supplied with a recycled container to bring it home for later. My girls and I, of course, stopped in the bakery and grabbed a bunch of goodies on our way out. They allow you to sample the gelato and cannoli filling flavors, so awesome!! This was a top-notch experience, everything from the staff to the food, and I can't wait to visit again.
