Pork roll & cheese on an egg everything bagel
    Brendan B.

So I know this place is a chain and has multiple locations but bagel nook is like your average bagel shop in town if it was on steroids. They literally have everything! From bagels to bagel sandwiches and all kinds of crazy spread to pastries and donuts and lunch options as well. It reminds me of one of those candy stores in the mall growing up where it is just a sensory overload with bright colors, so much food and immaculate decor. The entire place is spotless from top to bottom and the staff is super nice and helpful. It is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for, high quality food that is beyond what most bagel shops can/will do! I got a sandwich that was a collab with livotis and it was crispy fried prosciutto, a sunny side up egg and ricotta spread on a sourdough bagel and it was insanely good!! Never seen any sandwich like it. They have so many different bagels and spreads that are out of this world like flaming hot Cheeto, Oreo and fruity pebbles. Pickup orders are seamless as you just go to a separate counter to pick up your order and don't have to wait in line. Definitely give the bagel book a try if you are in the area because it is so worth the stop and I can guarantee they have something for everyone. Great quality food and an overall awesome business!!

The building itself looks almost like an old diner--long and brightly colored. Inside is more of the same. There are a couple of round tables with diner-esque stools and a few chairs randomly placed in the center of the seating area. All of it contributes to a kind of endearing quality of the place. I was greeted with a friendly smile by who I believe is the owner. I opted for a small coffee and a biscotti, as I wanted something that wasn't too sweet. The coffee is self-serve, which I'm not a huge fan of as sometimes they aren't as fresh, but management seems to take care of this. My orange almond biscotti, while I was happy to be able to taste the hints of orange, was stale. Prices were fair, as my coffee and the biscotti were each $2. It's a bit chilly in the cafe and a little loud with the music but I was still able to get some work done. If it were a bit closer to home, I think I would frequent this cafe a little more, but I wish the owner all the success!

Leaving fate to faith in the lovely barista. Both young ladies behind the counter are adorable and personable. Knowledgable too!

Pros: I loved the open view kitchen into the seating area…read moredesign. It makes the experience personable not to mention you can see how organized and clean the kitchen is. I received friendly and lighthearted service from the man who took my order. One thing that I thought was pretty cool and have never seen before was a "color wheel" for coffee. It was a visual way to show your preferences on what your preferences are on coffee appearance once the milk is added. My chicken salad sandwich was delicious, not too filling and made on very soft enjoyable bread. Room for improvement: Maybe because I stopped in at 1 pm on a Wednesday I felt like the seating area was poorly maintained. The floor really needed to be swept so it actually felt like of dirty sitting there eatting. There were a handful of people spread out with their laptops etc. One person was actively taking a call so it felt like you at work with them. Another had a small dog that she was carrying around people eatting while the leash/harness laid on the floor near her table. I'm all for dogs being allowed to be in eateries but the whole sit in experience felt dirty for me (especially based on the price I paid) and wouldn't be something I'd repeat. Long story short, the customer service while ordering is great but take your order to go.

I got an everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese, and it was absolutely amazing. The bagel was nicely toasted and crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. Sometimes the everythings are a little lacking on the 'everything' but 90% of the time they are spot on. And the other flavors I've had- plain, cinnamon raisin, and onion- are always perfect. With the pork roll, egg & cheese- some times it is the most amazing sandwich I've ever had in the world and other times it's o.k. But even on the 'o.k.' days, it's still better than most of the competitors in the area! Also a great choice: hard roll with butter. On the weekends it can be a little hectic because the place is small. They can only have so many people behind the counter and so many customers waiting. I would definitely suggest calling in your order ahead to just come and pick it up- less of a wait! I will always recommend this place for one of the top breakfast places in the area and will even go a few miles out of my way on the weekend just to enjoy a sandwich from here.
