This place meets a great unmet need in Little Rock food scene: Bagels The owners (Trevor and Myles, I think) moved down here from Portland, Maine where they lived for a decade and initially just started making bagels for their family and friends and given the encouraging response they decided to open this place up just recently in 2023. Lots of choices and although they taste different from NY bagels (OG!) they are still welcome addition to the local food spectrum. I picked up a turkey Caesar bagel sandwich and added a few veggies of my own and paired it with their brown butter, chocolate chip cookie. I love bagels so I was so excited to try their bagels and it did not disappoint. The bagel was nice and chewy. The ratio of cream cheese and lox was nice too. A nurse (Allison) at the Children's Hospital realized we were foodies and told us about The Bagel Shop. This place DID NOT MISS! The bagels are freshly made in-house, huge and delicious! We ordered a bacon, egg, & cheese on a pretzel salt bagel, a sausage, egg & cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bagel, a fried Georgia peach pie, and a lavender lemonade. The bagels are big, pillowy, and so tasty. The breakfast sandwiches were piping hot and full of flavor. The peach pie was a nice, littlesweet ending to our breakfast, and the lavender lemonade had just the right amount of lavender peeking through the sweetness of the lemonade. Very well-balanced and didn't taste like you were drinking a lavender bush. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Bagel Shop!!! Little Rock is lucky to have this Little Gem. read more

really wanted to like The Bagel Shop, but I am often disappointed. The breakfast sandwich often leaves the bagel soggy and compromises the bagel, the unmelted slice of cheese and baked egg? don't help the case. They have a modified online menu, and do not offer all types of bagels, which is unfortunate. I rate 3 stars because this bagel shop is relatively expensive for the area, I estimate anywhere between 15-25 dollars for a breakfast, for myself, from this shop. The owners are not the most friendly when in the restaurant talking to their staff, either. Feels like a gimmick, overall. read more

Great bagel shop in LR! Probably the only place within a 2 hour radius that makes unique from scratch bagels. The service was quick, and they serve onyx coffee! From the ambiance, to the speed/kindness of service, to the QUALITY of these divine bagels and goodies - it is truly unmatched. I went Saturday with my best friend and loved it so much, I brought my husband back the very next day. This is a MUST to try if you are in Little Rock. As far as recommendations, i'd say you HAVE to try the blueberry cold brew and bacon egg and cheese bagel sammie. I also got to try the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, the corn cookie, blueberry cream cheese danish, and my friend got the bagel & lox. EVERYTHING was phenomenal. My sister and I were driving through Little Rock and I was fervently looking for the best place to stop for breakfast. I stumbled upon the Bagel Shop and saw they recently opened. Immediately when we walked in I knew we wouldn't be disappointed. Pictured is the loaded banana bread and oh. my. gosh. This has been added to my "top 10 foods I need in my life" list. My sister and I both ordered a bagel and then I impulsively ordered the loaded banana bread and asked the man behind the counter how it was; his review of it confirmed it was a good impulsive decision. So he brings it to the table and it's gone within 4 minutes. Let me just explain how GOOD this was. Grilled banana bread, seemingly soaked in butter, so so soft in the middle and crispy on the edges, the whipped cream is a banana whipped cream-- never have I ever tasted something this amazing AND THEN caramel is drizzled on the top, so many flavors and textures happening at once but it works so well, and the walnuts-- what the! I didn't think a walnut could taste so good, idk what they put on those things, if anything, but I'm here for it! So basically this banana bread changed my life and you should definitely get it. Our bagels were amazing as well, I made my own and my sister ordered the lox. The banana bread was the star of the show though but the bagels did not disappoint. The place itself is a nice ambiance, very bright and clean. It's an order at the counter kind of place which is nice and makes it a quicker dining experience. 10/10 recommend trying the Bagel Shop and you MUST get the loaded banana bread. read more

This review is about eating lunch rather than simply picking up bagels. A bagel by itself might be the way to go. They look good unadorned. The egg and cheese bagel came with a slab of unwarmed cheese, which did not help the taste. This lunch bagel, a Topo Chico water, and tip came to $19. read more

The Bagel Shop is a great addition to Main Street. It's a nice space and very nicely decorated, and the help was friendly and helpful. I went today for breakfast for the first time since they moved from their temporary last location. Now I remember why. It's WAY TOO expensive! While I do think $3.00 per bagel is a bit steep, I don't really think it's exorbitant. But $39 for two bagel sandwiches, a cup of coffee, and some basic frozen tater tots is ridiculous. And frankly, neither sandwich was that good. The bagel was fine, but the lox sandwich was pretty skimpy on the toppings, and the weird egg disc on the build-your-own sandwich was almost off-putting. We took the majority of the ingredients on that one off and just ate the bagel and cheese. Blah breakfast at best. (And I think the shop ought to consider what customers can get for a lot less at their chief competitor across the street--a meal!) I wish this business the best but am worried that their price points are just too high. read more
