My toasted bagel was not burnt and the edges - perfectly done. The owner was very attentive to each customer - he constantly asks if anything else he could do better, and he proactively offers more napkins when he sees dine-in customers missing napkins on their tables, and offer extra plate when he sees his patrons sharing orders, ... I can tell he is seriously care about his business. The coffee was okay, but if you like more fruit acids to your coffee you may like it more than I did. Decent number of seatings in the store, about 15 seats, including window benches. The store is neighbors' favorite. read more

The coffee comes in some interesting flavors as well, recently featuring a chocolate dessert coffee and a maple coffee. Driven by here many times and decided to check it out. The location is on a fork of the road and the parking lot is a little tricky, especially when its full. Walked in and its set-up like most Delis, large counter with a few tables and chairs for it's sitting area. Coffee self-serve counter and a bakery display case. The staff was friendly, however the service wasn't fast and when they served the sandwich they just placed it on an empty table -vs- keeping it at the counter for me to pickup. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee. The BEC on kaiser roll...all I could say was that I was not impressed. Made with shrink-flation...think the ketchup was the most applied condiment. Due to the unfortunate sinkhole repair on I-80 that's been causing massive traffic between exits 30 and 34 by Wharton, NJ area, this place was a little gem we (hubby & I) discovered along the detour route. It has that balance of "soft and pillowy-ness" (is that a word?) and chewiness you expect to have from your first bite of a warm bagel. An unusual bagel flavor I discovered here for the first time was the Jalapeño Cheese bagel, which I think perfectly matches well with their Taylor Ham sandwich. That was always a favorite of mine with a hot cup of their coffee as a quick breakfast option. I've also tried their breakfast platter with pancakes, eggs and even some home fries. Their portions are quite generous I must say. Being that they were along the detour route, a lot of people come by for a quick stop. So their service is impeccably quick yet they still manage to be accurate / efficient. You can even call in your order ahead of time and just come by for a quick pickup and go. The place isn't that big but they do have an area where you can sit and eat your meal. Ambiance is nothing fancy, but clean and practical. Perfect place to stop by to pick up a quick and delicious breakfast! My friends and I were road tripping up North and found this little shop that seems popular with the locals. A lot of people called in advance to pick up their orders but there was still a bit of a line and some items were sold out around 10AM. The staff is super friendly and it seemed like a nice place to work. The bagels are definitely smaller and not as good as the ones in the city, but they are very affordable and still tastes great. I would say this place is okay. The bagels are a little harder and smaller than some other places in the area, however the French toast bagel is one of the best I've had. Also, I got the red velvet muffin and it was horrible. It looks like they just freeze & rethaw them because it had an awful freezer burn after taste.
