Some of the food was not available because the staff were told to close the restaurant service early. What this meant was also confusing as I was able to get a bowl of lovely fresh berries, but not a sandwich. The bakery case was available for purchases but none of the staff knew what allergens were in the bakery items. In this day, it's pretty inexcusable for staff not to know or have access to accurate ingredient lists in a restaurant that has it's own bakery. I never did figure out if we could order coffee? was that a restaurant item? It's a coffee shop/sort of a restaurant/bakery with lots of merchandise! Good luck! Perhaps they will be open when you stop by. Perhaps they will be serving food, but don't go if you really need to eat, as for this purpose I'd say this hot spot is unreliable. Not only is the coffee legit, the bakery section is popping. Croissant any thing has always been the trick. But. BUT. During my last visit I just needed a bite of pure sugar. Y'all!! I've gotten plenty of macarons at farmers markets and more recently have enjoyed her holiday treat boxes. She's had a Pullman pick-up option and also offered delivery. It seems like a lot of people have discovered her because their kids live in the WSU dorms and she has advertised dorm building delivery. I'm not sure if dorm deliveries have mostly been the holiday treat boxes or birthday cakes. I haven't tried any of her cakes yet but have enjoyed seeing the photos on FB/Instagram. The 21st birthday cakes with fun designs seem especially popular.

I also ordered a few pastries, the Kouign Amann, Almond Croissant, and Goat Cheese and Herb croissant. They unfortunately don't heat up any pastries which I wish they would because I do think it would make the pastries better. The Kouign was my favorite. It was crunchy and delicious and sweet, I would get again. The goat cheese croissant was pretty good but nothing too special. As for the Almond Croissant, I was very disappointed. It had hardly any almond filling, and there was no almond flavor. I wish they would put slivered almonds on it but it was completely lacking. I would skip the almond croissant completely. As for the coffee, I got a regular iced latte and a Soy almond latte. The coffee was not good at all and it makes me sad to say but after a few sips... I had to throw it away! I felt like it threw away $7. It was very watery and the syrup tasted off. This is usually my go-to at other shops but I just couldn't drink this at all. I was not asked whether we were the family who had yelled at or screamed at staff. Those are very different questions. Of course I said yes, because my wife and son had in fact come in that day. That misunderstanding is exactly the problem. Before you had the facts, you treated me as though I was calling to defend abusive behavior. We were not that family. My wife and son did not yell, did not cause a scene, and did not refuse to comply. My son adjusted his mask. You continue to frame this as though standing by your employee and acknowledging our experience are mutually exclusive. They are not. You could have supported your staff while also recognizing that a customer who did nothing wrong felt spoken to curtly and then felt wrongly accused on the phone. Instead, your response is still centered on justifying the accusation rather than acknowledging how your assumptions escalated the situation. I was only there for the phone call, and I know how that conversation began. That part is not in dispute for me. The larger issue is simple: we were not the family that mistreated your staff, yet we were handled as though we were. That is why this left such a bad impression. Nothing in your response changes that. I believe local businesses deserve support, and I also believe customers deserve to be treated with fairness, dignity, and enough care that assumptions are not made before the facts are known. That did not happen here.
