The property was gorgeous, the room was spacious yet still felt cozy and had the perfect view of the harbor (across the street!) The inn keepers were so warm, kind and helpful. Especially Ryan, possibly the sweetest person I've ever met. And THE BEST breakfast. They even left me a card on my birthday which was so thoughtful- I was on a solo trip for my 30th. The location was ideal for me. It is off the island so you drive about an hour to get to most of Acadia but the drive is so stunning and goes by fast. MUCH preferred to some noisy, packed hotel in Bar Harbor. Trust me on that. Plus, the night sky is way more breathtaking without all the lights from town. And it's a few minutes from the Schoodic part of the park which is perfect for catching the sunset after a long day of exploring. there are also so many perfect little local spots to eat at right up the road (but be warned, things close early around here!) It was busy, with other folks sitting at tables and working locals stopping by to grab things to go. First let me say it is a really cute coffee shop converted from a house. Coffee cozy all around. We met the owner and her daughter, Dianne and Dotty. We chatted with Dianne for around 20-30 minutes and she is a wonderful person. Very kind and social. She said we, as is everyone else, are welcome to hang out for as long as you want. High speed internet, books, puzzles and more. I had a Salted Caramel Latte with an extra shot of espresso. It was delicious! My partner had a mocha and she said it was pretty good as well!
