This place is an amazing. I would highly recommend stopping by and trying any of their home made donuts. The organic coffee was also delicious. The store is attached to a home and the owners are easily one of the friendliest I have come across. The interior is just too cute to put into words. The restroom is also clean.

What a delightful experience! The gluten-free sweet potato old fashioned donut was hands down the best donut I've ever had--soft, doughy, and full of flavor. Getting the texture just right with gluten-free baking is no easy feat, but Alexis and her team have truly mastered it. The shop is family-owned, and you can feel the love the moment you walk in--everyone is so warm and welcoming. This place embodies the heart of small-town charm. I only wish I lived closer, because I'd be a regular at Imago Dei. They're a beautiful reminder that we are all made in the image of God. read more

We stopped by because of so many positive reviews. We were warmly greeted by the owner and she gave us a run down of what was available, what the flavors were, and also gave us gluten free or low sugar options if needed. We got a maple ginger donut and an apple cider donut. They were both absolutely delicious. The apple cider donut was so thick and cakey and the maple ginger donut tasted like fall in a bite. The store is a cute home-like shop. There is also drip coffee and a fridge with some waters and canned coffees. We wish we got more donuts! Definitely stop by if you're driving through. read more

We're visiting and passed this place and the thought of gluten free donuts sounded amazing. Problem was I couldn't find it again! I finally did and was able to buy three gluten free donuts on our way out of town. I loved the almond with vanilla icing one. They're a little dense but that's common with gluten free. If I were local I'd be there weekly! She told me they do their gluten free baking on Tuesdays so Tuesday afternoon is probably the best time to show up for gluten free folks. It's in her house but it's cute. No seating, take out only. read more

We went to this place right when they opened and days later cannot stop talking about how great the coffee and doughnuts where here. We loved the texture of the fresh doughnuts and the orange blossom glaze was so yummy. There was a nice bathroom and a cute little outdoor seating. Service was warm and very welcoming! read more

The name of this shop was a little confusing to me since it seems to be more of a donut shop and not really a cafe. If you're into speciality donuts, you might like these sweet potato-based ones but they just weren't for me due to the unexpected texture. I typically don't write this but I have come back several times, trying new things ALL DELICIOUS and the service is very friendly. However when I leave I feel like I just spent wayyyyyy too much. This time was sadly my last visit cause it's too much. I got a 16 oz coffee and a basic chocolate chip cookie...$7.xx before it was a donut and16oz coffee for almost $9.xx I understand they're a specialty item but coffee and a donut shouldn't be that much, I'm sorry. read more

My nephew and I stopped by on our way home to Connecticut from Bar Harbor as we were looking for a morning jolt! We both got lattes to order and a few homemade donut holes and donut! The coffees were outstanding and the donuts were light and delicious. We were happy to discover that this was a woman-owned small business since we appreciate the effort and hard work it takes to own your own shop! Small shop but packs a delicious punch. My husband and I stopped on our way back from Bar Habor and wanted a local shop for coffee and a snack. We were pleasantly surprised when we came across this little shop. We got a nice cup of coffee and the sweet potato donuts were amazing! We tried the plain, cinnamon sugar, and lemon. The donuts have a wonderful chew and we decided we prefer them to most regular cake donuts! Not crumbly or anything like that. Worth a stop! read more

It's been a while. I figured there would be new, and hopefully friendlier, staff. I was half right. There was new staff, but unfortunately, they were as unwelcoming as the last batch. This place has no prices on any of the premade sandwiches or pastries in their cases (why??), so we asked "Hey there, how much are your pies and cookies?". The employee was in the lobby sweeping and said "I'm not sure. Somewhere between $3- $5. Maybe more". She doesn't look up. Doesn't offer more clarity. She just shrugged this non-answer to us and carried on. It was awkward. So my husband, trying to make light of it, says "Sounds like it's up for debate so how about I give you $2.50" and this girl gives us a dour look and snaps "Well, I'm not behind the cash register so I can't look at the prices, can I?". So, we have now learned our lesson with this place twice. Not sure what it is about the culture there that results in such bad service years apart and by different people. We won't be returning.
