Awesome haircut in just minutes. Phong is a pro.

Was referred by a friend and decided to take my kiddo. At first he was worried about trying a new place but Phong welcomed us in and was so nice that he decided to get his hair cut. It was such good vibes in there that we were a little sad that Phong is so efficient! Can't wait to come back and introduce more of the fam.

A no-frills barbershop that accepts only cash and offers affordable prices. They do not take appointments, relying entirely on walk-in clients. The barbershop features a unique collection of police and other governmental badges displayed on the wall. As a first-timer, I had my haircut done by Lynne. Without knowing much and with little direction, I asked for a simple fade and a trim at the front. In about ten minutes, I was out of the chair. She even styled my hair with gel, which I appreciated. Although it wasn't the finest work on my hair, I thought she did a pleasant job considering the quick, easy-in, easy-out experience.

Been coming here for many years now. They're quick, experienced, and priced fairly! Came here to get my son's hair cut before his class trip, even with a line of folk when we walked in it didn't take long at all, and the final product is always good. I am visiting family in Cali this weekend, from Texas. I googled Barber Pole and it was close to my hotel in Buena Park. I'm glad that I found this place for a haircut. The atmosphere was great. I loved all the items on the wall from first responders, military and sports items. I didn't have to wait, and Tom was the person that greeted me and cut my hair. He did an awesome job, just like I get back in Texas. He was friendly as well. All the other barbers were talkative and very nice also. I will be sure to visit again when back in the area visiting family. Thanks! read more

Awesome barber shop! My husband was looking for a new barber since his previous one decided to change his price significantly higher. Decided to try this place out since it's not far from home and boy.. did they not disappoint! Barber Phong was very welcoming and friendly! He did an awesome job on my husband and on top of that he was quick. My husband was satisfied with his cut and the service he received. Definitely coming back. 10/16/2023 First time here at 5:15 PM and had Ashley (Asian lady in the back) told me she was training did a great job on a basic fade cut. The cut was finished at 5:35 PM and was $20. Seems like a very popular spot as most of the barbers knew their regulars. Would come back here again read more

i can see why this place has such good reviews! my six year old needed a haircut and we had tried a kid place prior but it was packed and needed an appointment. so i looked up something by close by and this place popped up. we drove over and were able to walk right in and get seated immediately. mind you, it was packed! the barber we had was quick and did an amazing job. showed him a picture of what my son was looking for and it was done probably ten minutes later. i will choose this place for my kiddo over any other "kid" haircut place. fast, easy, quality work and they even have a candy drawer for the kiddos after. there wasn't any messing around and it left zero time for my kid to get annoyed with being there. will be coming back! read more

This was our first time here. My son asked for a trim off the sides and 1 inch off the top. The barber cut off way more (3inches) off. The worst haircut ever. The hair is uneven too. I don't know how this place is in business. I do not recommend. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

This is our go to barber. Everyone is always nice and polite. Phuong is super friendly and is always chatting it up with some customer. My son and husband go here for their cuts. Came back to the Barber Pole for Alex. Glad to see she is still in the area, as I prefer female hair stylist. My hair went through a lot in these past few years from Platinum blonde hair to Brittney Spears cut. Now that I'm no longer working from home it was due for some hair cut. Went with Thomas Shelby, Peaky Blinders hair cut. Was I able to pull the look? Not sure, but just came back home and styled it a little and I think I like it. Ive taken my 3 year old son to a few different "children's" haircut establishments because I thought they would be specialists in that department but after forking out $40 each time for below average haircuts, I decided to look elsewhere. My friends told me about barber pole and I am BEYOND impressed. Phong cut my son's hair and not only was he quick and gentle with him but the cut looked professional for once at a FRACTION of the cost. This place is a little bit farther for us but its so worth it. Highly recommend. read more

We have always gone here with both kiddos. However, we had the Asian girl in the back for the first time. And he was saying ow and moved his head and then she tried to hold his head down and she was like it's fine and then continued to cut him where he was saying ow and in this point in tears. I ended up seeing it on his face and was saying hey! That's really hurting him and then she proceeded to move her hand like no no it's fine. Obviously I'm not too happy about that because a child shouldn't have to be crying with pain getting a haircut. Also the haircut is bad and choppy. I told her that he was bleeding and she said no he's not and I was showing the parts where it's nicked and the blood. So I did proceed to say you need to be careful for next time because you can't be hurting and you can't be making them bleed. I'm sure the other barbers could hear and it sucks that no one apologized not even her. It's not the other barbers job to apologize for her but at least show some acknowledgment or something for their colleague doing something wrong. I ended up having to pay for it still. I wasn't trying to get compensated but if that were me and I was the manager or I messed up on accident I would have been like "you know what, this is on me. I apologize. But of course not everyone thinks like me. read more

The Barber Pole is great the atmosphere is awesome here ! My wife came by one of the near by stores and noticed there shop . So I decided to come by even though I drove from Long Beach . My husband has been coming to this barbershop every Tuesday for the past 3 years and he is always extremely happy with his haircut and so am I. I haven't had a decent hair cut. I had to go thru a lot of barbers they all gave me this nasty yee yee ass hair cut until I came upon this shop. Quick service , great price, nice environment and friendly staff . Would definitely recommend. read more
