This place is fantastic! There looks to be 10-12 food carts offering a wide range of cuisines. I ordered from Big Sisters' Thai Kitchen and loved my pumpkin curry. Mmmm, delicious! There is a large barn-like structure with restrooms and indoor seating, as well as a large covered outdoor seating area in between two rows of food carts. The complex is flanked by two parking lots on each end with ample parking. There also appears to be a fair number of accessible parking spaces for those with mobility issues. The Barn at Hickory Station is a great addition to the community, offering a family-friendly environment where kids can run free in a large grassy area. High on the Hog brisket sando with Mac and cheese on the side. Memphis Sauce. Delicious! Ohana Kitchen small line chicken and rice. Best Hawaiian chicken in the area according to my daughter. Homegrown Oregon Avocado Wraps were a tasty treat but somewhat unusual. Wifey liked them but might order something "meatier" next time. Overall, good service. The prices are moderate to high, but its food cart fare so nothing out of line. Barn beer selection was good and fairly priced. We will be back to try some new and interesting dishes. read more

This place is fantastic. Located off Hickory in North Albany area, this is a specifically designed for food carts and outdoor seating. With 13 trucks and over 30 different brews inside, you have everything from BBQ, to Thai, Pho, seafood, Hawaiian, sandwiches, Pho, Hibachi stir fry and even an ice cream truck. As you first walk into the Barn you are greeted by the bar serving area. With literally dozens of options you will easily find a libation of your choosing. Just a quick stroll further and you are greeted by the dozen plus food carts and what they offer. Tables are available both inside with the bar and several tv's to catch the game. Outside a large covered area allows for dining right by the trucks and also a huge uncovered seating area which is perfect on those summer days and nights. This will definitely be a place to come to for several weeks to try out all the various food carts that are offered. read more

So there are two things to consider with The Barn at Hickory Station. One: The Barn at Hickory Station is basically a bar that has ample seating, lots of TVs with sports, some wine selections, unlimited refills on soft drinks, and lots of beers on tap, most local or regional. Two: The Barn at Hickory Station hosts a pad upon which space is rented out to food truck owners. TBHS is -not- responsible for the price, quality, or choice of food trucks other than what their space allows and who they rent out to. Reviews attacking TBHS because food truck prices are high are ridiculous; review the truck-business itself if you're dissatisfied with the food based solely on cost. Anyway, when we opted to get some food, my partner who has Celiac's (gluten intolerance, not just sensitivity) suggested we go to TBHS because one of the food trucks there has lobster and crab and is safe for her to eat at because there's no possibility of gluten contamination. I will go to the ends of the Earth for her, since I have no allergies, and was able to find another truck that offered some amazing pupusas and opted for that, although I certainly had choices. I'll save those reviews for the actual businesses. TBHS has a relatively large indoor eating area as well as an outdoor space. We went there during December and the outside was just a little too cold for us. We found a table inside, even though it was very busy. At the time, there were several tables set up for four persons, as well as a huge trestle table that ran the length of the building practically. At the time, it appeared a very large group of people were using it amongst their own party, but it could also be used as a communal space. There were also several easy chair type rocking chairs with some small tables beside them. I would find those awkward to eat in, but not to sit and have a drink. There was a bar where you could be seated, with a tender there (this was also where you got soda and soda refills), but there was one line that led to the cashier, who had another employee behind the who would draw the beer or wine. When we were there, only one type of red wine choice was available, as this is clearly designed as a craft beer tap kind of place. That was fine though; my partner had wine and I had a soda. The trucks give you a fob that buzzes when your order is ready, so you're free to hang out inside until your food is ready. The prices on beer, wine, and soda were very reasonable, although there was a little bit of a choke point getting to the cashier, as there was only one place to order and pay and we noticed the line stretching out of the door at times. Still, we have plenty of options here (or at least I do, and my partner loves her some lobster so she's not disappointed in going) and the ambiance is sort of...Oregon Rustic. Definitely not a bad place to check out, if you're in the area. read more

We went down to Corvallis to have lunch with our son - he goes to OSU. He kept telling us about this food cart place in Albany so we headed over there. I have to say it was very good. Lots of choices and good seating - indoor and out. Good beers and wines too. I can't remember the truck names, but the Korean wings were great, the Indian truck was good and the seafood and Gyro trucks were also good. I'd go back. It was a good experience. You could barely find anything that wasn't $20-$40 for a dish. Most of the food looked good but I couldn't justify those prices for what it was. I love going here. There's a few places that we tend to go to, my favorite is The Chicken shack. It's my happy food. I like that we don't have to decide what we want to eat because there are so many choices to choose from. Dreaming of sushi is one of my fave's. But my favorite is Majahua Authentic Mexican food. Their quesabirria is the best in town. Their drink menu is epic and always changing. You order from a cart and they hand you a pager so when your food is ready it vibrates, beeps, or makes a sound to let you know. The Ambiance is nice, you can sit indoors or outdoors. This review is just based on the barn and not factoring in the food carts. The drink selection is decent, they have a lot of craft options (about 20-some) on tap and the bartenders were friendly. The only negative I have to say about the beers is they are a bit pricey compared to other places. As previous reviewers have said, they average $7 and come in a red solo cup. The environment/ambiance is not as great. They have a blue lives matter flag posted up on the wall inside the building. Upon stepping out into the seating area to find a place to enjoy my drinks and food with my partner, we were stared at by everyone else sitting there as if we were the first Asians they had ever seen. Super awkward and uncomfortable. I'd opt to go elsewhere for beers on tap, better food carts, and a better vibe. We were also looking forward to trying some of the food trucks (the sushi, Thai, and Mexican trucks specifically) but they were not open the day we went. This was disappointing because they had been open consistently the days/weeks and days of week leading up to our visit. My favorite food item to get among the selection of food carts is definitely the "Rain B-ritto" from Dreaming of Sushi. Spending $15 may seem like a lot, but I do consider it worth it! It is pretty decently sized, more than enough for a guy like me to eat in one sitting. More importantly, they do not skimp on the amount of fish they add. Also, one of the best parts is definitely the sauce they use. I have no idea what it is, but I love it. Along with that, the flavors of the pineapple they add brings the perfect balance of sweetness. I had some pulled pork mac 'n' cheese from the bbq food truck & it was fucking AMAZING. The latrines were pretty fucking clean & tidy which greatly impressed me, the staff were wearing face masks which I can appreciate but they did not mandate that patrons wear face masks which I appreciated even more. & from what I could see none of the customers were afraid of the fake ass wuhan chines flu so good for them. I cant wait till the weather gets nicer cause this place is gonna be a badass hoppin' spot my bros. From what I am told they're working on putting an amphitheater for concerts & shit like that.
