Fish and chips (darn good), salad (crisp and fresh), cold beer (?).

Hubby and I were out and about celebrating a great review from my doctor. I had a coupon to this place off of Groupon. The location wasn't that hard to find as the Costco down the street is the one we frequent most often. But back to the review. It's in a strip mall so may be a little difficult to find. But thanks to GPS. We both ordered the fish and chips. You got two decent pieces of fish. Not to sure if it was a frozen battered fish, but it was pretty good. Let me say, I hate steak fries. These made me change my mind. They were delicious. Fried a little crisp. Just right. Got a side salad. Very large for under $6. Also special shout out to the bartender (we sat at the bar) Angel. She was spot on. Engaging and cheerful. We'll be back. Definitely.

I came here for the first time for dinner. I was extremely hunger. I ordered the lobster grilled cheese sandwich and side salad. The lobster sandwich was good other than the cream cheese inside of it. I think it would of tasted better without it and also be less fattening. The side salad was decent with the balsamic vingerette dressing. I also shared an appetizer(egg rolls) with my friend. I was still hungry after my meal. I will definitely try something else next time. Waiter service was great as well! I recommend this place to anybody in the Johnson Ferry Rd area:

Cool place to have a drink! Not as expensive as other locations and the bartenders are friendly!

Bat & Ball Pub is a quaint little British pub in Brookhaven, located amid a strip of other diverse restaurants, which include Indian, Japanese, Mediterranean, and American. We decided on the pub because one, it had been a LONG week and two, because it had been a LONG week. Beers sounded deliciously inviting. Inside, you do get that pub feel. Dim, a little white noise, and people sitting around watching sports on the TV's. Our bubbly server didn't seem to fit in, but she took our orders, recommended food, and rattled off what beers were on draft. Not necessarily in that order. The beers on draft were VERY disappointing. I had trouble deciding, even after asking her to list them out for me twice. I ended up with a beer mix: Harp and some cider to make for a tasty Snake Bite. I was just hoping to try a new beer, but this pub is no Taco Mac. We ordered three appetizers for $27.95 (online menu doesn't seem up to date on prices), which actually was a bit overboard for two people to share. We got the Highland Platter, Nachos and the Irish Spring Rolls. The Highland Platter comes with two Scotch Eggs (halved), eight sausage rolls and four Cornish pasties. Very delicious, overall. I wasn't a huge fan of the pickled veggies in the middle, so I stuck to an egg, a couple pasties and a few of the bite size sausage rolls. The Scotch Egg was a pleasant surprise: I thought it was just going to be a deep fried egg, which while it was essentially just that, had a layer of what I think was some sort of sausage. Tasty. The Cornish pasties reminded us of Asian curry puffs, with the ingredients used in the pastie, sans curry. This was definitely was probably my favorite appetizer. The Grande Nachos were just ok. The chicken atop the nachos were cardboard dry. The flavor of whatever cheese they used was terrific. Irish Spring Rolls were the bomb. With the faint resemblance to Chinese egg rolls, the cabbage and the deep fried skin were the only similarities, as these fried spring rolls were tasty enough to not have to compare the two. I was slightly disappointed that the menu here was nearly identical (if not a 100% match) to the menu at Royal Oak Pub, another Dunwoody Restaurant Group pub, located at Perimeter Pointe. I would have been delighted to see a different menu with nuances unique to each pub.

Favorite sports bar in the area. Our bartenders Mike & Chris are amazing! They take the best care of us. It feels like home! Order the scooby snack shot ... you won't regret it.

I've ordered in house here before and it was mediocre - nothing to write about good or bad. It's what you expect when you expect bland fried bar food. But tonight I got take out wings, and i swear they forgot to empty the fryer before they put them in the to go box. Literally wings drenched in a puddle of oil. The wings were not crispy and they had barely ANY seasoning on them. It was essentially plain wings swimming in cooking oil.

Their menu is like a newspaper. So unique!

Took an hour for a Buffalo chicken wrap because the bartender said she forgot to even ring it in. Poor customer service.

The next time in 2024 when I was in the area, they were closed for a remodel. Today was the day. The beer selection was fantastic and so was the food. I got the pork sandwich with greens on top. It was delicious, but it could've not had juices leaking so much? Maybe cheese below and above the meat to try to keep some of the juices off the bun or maybe more bun toasting? The fries were amazing and I should've gotten the aolie initially, but didn't get it until I saw another table with an order. It was delicious. The service was very good. The server had good knowledge of the beers, food, and was friendly. This is one of the best beer bars in the US. The Atlanta area is fortunate to have two killer beer bars, the other being the Brick Store Pub in Decatur.

The pretzels were burnt, the schnitzel was overfried, and the fish was a bit greasy. The deviled eggs were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. That said, aesthetically it is a great place with beautiful old architecture, solid service, and an amazing beer list.

The ambiance adds so much to the experience, I recommend you to come and relax on the patio or grab a seat at the bar. There's such a great vibe all around that makes you want to stay awhile. Was meeting friends for…read morelunch and tried to call to make a reservation since there were 6 of us for a Saturday and there was going to be a music festival that afternoon. Got a text back saying they don't take reservations, it's first come, first serve, but they would do what they could to accomodate us. 4 of us were seated and we had 2 more coming before we wanted to order. The wait staff was attentive, making sure we had our beverages and if we needed anything before the 2 arrived. Once they arrived, the staff gave us a few minutes to make sure the 2 had a chance to look at the menus. We ordered appetizers to start...corn bread, sage fried pierogies and poutine. We weren't sure about the poutine because we didn't see any gravy, we did see the cheese curds on the fries, but once we finally dug in, the gravy was at the bottom. The pierogies were tasty. We asked if they could cut the cornbread so each of us could get a taste, which they did. Corn bread had a toasted texture, and the honey butter was delicious! Everyone ordered something different. One had fish and chips, which would seem to be a likely order for a pub. Their special for the day was a ruben. Another ordered a falafel sandwich, and I think 2 salmon BLT's and then one salad with rainbow trout. Portions were not overwhelming, but we realized that we were full from the appetizers and almost everyone ended up taking most of their main choices in doggie bags (boxes). As time got closer to the festival to start, it did get crowded, but the staff handled the influx of people and people were seated relatively quickly. This was a nice destination as most of the group live a drive from Decatur. Lovely afternoon visit!
