While I enjoy the actual location and the people, the drip coffee is pretty terrible. I bought a large coffee and a "lb" (really 10 oz.) to go ($14 total). I couldn't drink the coffee while there, and the home brewed is not much better. The coffee has a sort of slippery bitterness and sour flavor that just does not work, like cheap coffee in a can. I hope it isn't like this all the time, because it represents something wrong with the drying process of the green beans. read more

Horrible customer service!! Coffee isn't really that great and tastes very watered down (hence why it's so cheap). Was a regular there for a little bit but a woman with long red hair always rolled her eyes at me and never introduced herself or said good morning anytime I came in but was very delightful with all the other customers. I had spent a lot of money here, probably about 60$ in a month and that's a lot for coffee!! There is a gentleman by the name of Miguel who works there though and he is very cool and always wore a smile!! Coffee, juice, and books- oh my! A very cute coffee shop with plenty of books, from kids to adults, to philosophy and science. My soy latte was creamy and rich in espresso. My mom got a carrot juice, freshly juiced right in front of us! I was impressed by the overwhelming kindness of the staff, and their patience with my undecisiveness. I spent several weeks visiting Fort Collins, and this is no doubt my favorite coffee shop! Great, quality coffee and espresso. The strawberry rhubarb pie was to die for. Vegan / local ingredients. Whenever I visit Fort Collins I got way out of my way to visit the Bean Cycle. Tasty coffee, pastries from three different bakeries, and a heavy bicycle theme are what I love about this place. And this place was into bikes before it was cool! The Matter bookstore in back is cool, and I believe this is where the Matter Journal is located (not positive about that). If you like bikes, coffee, and delicious baked goods, served in a locally-owned business, then check this place out. read more

oh man, what a gem! I love their seating arrangements - you can have natural light if you sit by the front window or tuck yourself in the back, upstairs in between shelves of books. Or, sit in the middle where there are still outlets available for your computer. Aside from the tea that I was OBSESSED with (i mixed the Echinacea and the chamomile lavender, and added freshly juiced ginger- I could not have done this without the help of Abigail!) I found myself admiring their menu boards for quite some time. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who needs a coffee, tea, or place to get some work done! So cozy and awesome. read more

Just came in here for the first time. The coffee is great, I ordered a macchiatto and it actually is one not the cracked out on sugar and milk version that they serve at a certain coffee chain, it is straight caffine just the way I like it. I visited this quirky little coffee shop several months ago. I ordered a chai latte which was unfortunately very disappointing. It was like spiced water. I added some sugar to make it drinkable. However, my sister enjoyed her coffee. The ambiance is cool and it was a nice place to hang out on a cold windy day, but I was not impressed with my beverage. read more

Excellent organic, fair trade coffee. I decided to come here based on the reviews (and free wifi) and it lived up to all my expectations! I tried a latte with almond milk and the coffee was strong and full of flavor. Plenty of comfy couches and tables to have a nice chat with a friend or get some work done (like myself) and not feel pressure about sticking around all day. The best part about this place is the attached book store. Also notable was that they recycle and compost - super earth friendly :) Would absolutely love to come back next time I'm in the Fort. read more

Probably the best coffee that I've had traveling around the US. The espresso was well prepared and had a very nice, complex flavor. Absolutely amazing. This place is great! They have all kinds of coffee and are willing to make off-menu items. I also really like the staff, who tend to be friendly and helpful. It takes a little bit to get your coffee, but that's expected because it is pretty good quality. They don't have many baked goods or food items as other places, though, so don't plan on getting a ton of those. read more

Love this coffee shop! The coffee is always delicious! The Matter Bookstore in the back is pretty cool too. It can get a little loud sometimes to do homework, but it isn't that bad. Parking is a pain in the afternoons, but that is like any business in Old Town. The staff is usually great and helpful. The fresh made juices are amazing! read more

My number one favorite coffee shop :) I go here to study, to grab a yummy scone, or some delicious juiced veggies! The baristas are really nice and have a great sense of humor and I really like that they focus on beverages and books...not so much with the food. However, what they do have is fantastic. This is my first-impression review. . . I'll review again once (or, If) I visit the place. Trying to call them for questions on their store(s) - coffee and books - is a frustrating beginning. . . no one answers the phones, and the recorded message is long and unhelpful. I'm witnessing more and more businesses (from large Corporate to small startups) with less and less care about communications and customer service, as if these two are afterthoughts rather than business basics. read more

Mmmm... Bean Cycle.... Great coffee. If only they could squeeze some more comfy couches, armchairs/ottomans. My go to for a lazy morning, or for hanging' with my tablet to get some work done. I can even go with my kindergartener, who will spend 20-30 minutes back in the kids' nook before emerging with a stack of books. We will read some, return most, and often leave with a $1-2 book purchase, which thrills her to no end. I'm hesitant to give it 5 stars, only because I don't want any more people to find out about it and make it too crowded... read more

I really enjoy going to this coffee shop. The atmosphere is perfect for writing or just chatting with friends. I've gone several times now and all of my friends love the whole experience at this place as well. I love that it's combined with a bookshop. It makes me feel cozy, yet the warehouse-like height of the ceilings makes me feel like I have room to think. I haven't had many of their baked goods; although I did have a peanut butter bagel which was amazingly satisfying. I think they serve the best vanilla steamers that I've ever had in my life. However, their chai tea is a bit lacking. Overall though, it's a place worth checking out. So, what are you waiting for? read more

Really neat coffee shop and the bookstore attached is just icing on the cake. They offer a variety of brewing methods and bean types, as well as a nice selection of teas, freshly squeezed juices, and smoothies. With my french press, I enjoyed a blueberry lemon scone which had really pleasant texture and flavor. The staff was friendly and animated. The space was open and relaxing, yet cozy. The books definitely provide some visual intrigue and I could have probably spent hours browsing through their locally curated selection. Last bit of awesomeness....there is a loft with study tables and shelves like a library which seems like a great meeting space or study spot. I wish I could bring this shop home with me to the east coast. read more
