When microdermabrasion started it felt really rough-it's been awhile since I had one and knew my skin may be sensitive. She did check in and I said lighter and it seemed slightly lighter but still felt like it was scratching my face. Than peel went on which felt intense, pretty normal with a double exfoliation but when she was removing peel she never really checked in on peel activity and than just put finishing product on. It still felt pretty stingy and I probably should've spoken up but just chalked it up to the nature of the service. When I got home I had to put a cold compress on for awhile and my skin looked like this... and than this morning. I'm writing this to be informative and to mention that I'm also an esthetician and know my skin should not be all scratched up post microderm. Despite my concerns, no protective shield was used, and the laser was passed directly over my eyebrows. Nine months later, I am still dealing with the effects and regret having this procedure done. While some hair growth has returned, one eyebrow still has noticeable patchy areas that have not fully recovered. Before this treatment, I never needed to fill in my eyebrows, but now I have to use an eyebrow pencil every day to cover the sparse spots. This experience has been incredibly upsetting and has had a lasting impact on me. My eyebrows were one of my favorite features, and it has been incredibly upsetting not knowing if they will fully recover.
