We're at this shop and it's the last time we were connected to Wi-Fi . we had a cabin at the Minnetonka across the street. ( on with the story). We stoped by the cabin on our way out of town. We went for a long ride into Calumet. We walked along the beach stoped in Lac Labell. My wife reached for her wallet. It was gone. Oh crap the search was on. We raced back to where we had gone. Every penny and all credit cards were in there . We were freaked out. I remembered we had a tracking tile in her wallet We got back to the location the tile said her wallet was. A Copper Harbor Treasure -- Harbor Haus is Pure Magic…read more Harbor Haus is truly one of the most special restaurants we've ever been to. The food is absolutely incredible -- every dish is crafted with so much care and flavor that it keeps us coming back again and again. But what makes Harbor Haus unforgettable is the people. Lisa and George are two of the sweetest, most welcoming humans you'll ever meet. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like you're part of their family. The entire staff is just as wonderful -- warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to see you. There's a feeling here that you simply can't find anywhere else. We love coming to see them, and we love everything about this place. Harbor Haus is the heart of Copper Harbor, and we hope it never leaves. It's a gem, a tradition, and a home away from home. If you're anywhere near Copper Harbor, do yourself a favor and go. You'll be treated like family, fed like royalty, and you'll leave already planning your next visit. As a city slicker I have access to lots of amazing restaurants and Harbor Haus exceeded my expectations. I had the burrata cheese special which was so very tasty, my cocktail was made with local strawberries which are currently in peak season (I had two) and my entree was the local trout and I swear it was the best piece of fish I have ever had. Can't go wrong with this place! The service was wonderful and my table overlooking the lake was a dream. My only regret is that I am only in town for one night, otherwise I'd be eating there again.

We were driving through Lake Linden, on our way to an ice cream shop when we passed a sign off the…read moreside of the road advertising pistachio flavored frozen custard at a place called "Drive-Thru Depot". We found this to be a strange name for a restaurant, but we decided to turn around and stop by. Double the ice cream never hurt anyone, especially after a long two days at Isle Royale. As the name implies, Drive-Thru Depot is mainly drive through or pickup only. There are parking spots numbered up to 10 so the employees can bring your food out to you. You can go inside to order through a door on the South end, but it's pretty much no frills standing room only. There are a couple of tables set up outside if you're interested in eating there. While we were there only for the frozen custard, they sell a wide variety of burgers, hot dogs and other food. They also have ice cream, although it's not made in house and is instead from Cedar Crest. We got the smallest amount of custard possible, just to try the place out. Baby Frozen Custard, Pistachio ($2.50) - The baby size is a 9oz cup piled high with custard, with the swirl spilling over the top of the cup. The custard is dense, creamy and smooth with a good sweetness level. It's not quite as rich as some of the top custard places, but handily beats out most places outside of the Midwest. The color is strikingly mint green; before our first bite we were wondering if they gave us the wrong flavor. But after eating it, we found a pleasant artificial pistachio aroma on the tongue. My best guess is that this is probably some kind of frozen custard pre-mix, but hey, as long as it's churned correctly, most custards are good custards. (4/5) Drive-Thru Depot is worth a stop if you're in the area for a quick snack. While we were there, it was pretty busy with customers lining up in the drive through and parked waiting for pickup orders. Bathrooms - Single individual unisex room in the small interior ordering area.

The custard is worth the drive from anywhere. The Pistachio is my fave and there is not a bad thing…read moreon the menu !
