So I've been to this restaurant a few times and it's always very consistent. Simple menu. Great food. Very good prices. Plenty of fresh toppings. Crispy tacos. I always leave with my hunger satisfied. I absolutely LOVE the food. The reason I'm giving this place 1 star is because of the poor service I receive every single time. When I went in for dinner on January 11th the restaurant was fairly busy. There were 2 girls standing at the counter right where we walked in but we were not greeted. Mind you this restaurant is 1 small room with 7 bench style booths with about 7-10 girls walking around. They are under construction, expanding the building but the size (depending on how busy they are) or construction isn't a problem at all. There was a sign that reads "Please Wait to be Seated" so at least there's that. After a few minutes of awkwardly standing there one of the girls asked if we were dining in or ordering to go and asked us to have a seat at a semi clean table that wasn't cleaned even after we sat down. When our server came over we were still not greeted,we were simply asked what we wanted. After placing our order the server, without saying a single word,turns and walks away from our table. Once our food was quickly delivered, it was delicious as always, but we were not checked on again. The server did her best to not interact with us. You pay a separate cashier who was just as moody. Like I said,I love the food so it's frustrating that I want to go back for some delicious tacos but am treated poorly every single time. This was just the experience I had on this particular date but it's pretty much the same experience every time I go. Freaking amazing! Delicious, simple, fast and fresh traditional Mexican food. Great late night spot after a few a drinks or a quick stop for your lunch break. They keep the restaurant very clean. It smelled fresh like pine sol today when I walked in after their busy lunch hour. We love their flautas and tacos dorados but everything is amazing with great prices. The owners are sweet and the staff is very friendly as soon as you walk in they take care of you. They have indoor and outdoor seating. If you're traveling through Yuma it's worth driving through town to get to it. Highly recommend them to anyone that loves Mexican food! My wife and I had been wanting to visit this place and I am glad we finally visited. Place was packed so I figured that was a good sign. We sat as soon as we got there and within a few minutes a girl took our order. I order a large lemonade and two sopes. Sopes were only $1.50 each I was surprised with their low prices. My wife ordered a small lemonade, two sopes and two flautas/rolled tacos, one for her and one for me to try. The second thumbs up was that they brought our order out like in two minutes, super fast. The place was packed so i figured we would wait a bit for food but that was not the case. At the end I ordered another sope. Our bill was only $13 and some cents. On our way back to Mesa Arizona from a road trip to the redwood's and stopped in Yuma to try and find a place to eat. Did a search and found El Buen Tacuito restaurant. Had a nearly 5 star rating from the locals so, we gave it a shot. Pretty small place with around 5 booths and a few tables. The place looks new. Very clean and neat looking. We were a little disappointed at first when we saw the menu. Only 6 choices that were food and, one was frys! I was thinking ' this place better be awesome or they will never last!'. I got the Taco's Borados, rolled Taco's and a flauta. The Wife had the Taco's, flauta and the beef broth. The boy had Taco's and Fry's. If they keep serving this kind of food they will be in business....... for a Very long time!! Everything was excellent! Very fresh and of high quality. The meat was cooked seasoned to near perfection! The flavor was amazing! The lettuce was crispy, the tomatoes were ripe, cheese fresh and flavourful. They made their pickled red onions for some of the toppings that were well done also. The flauta was as good as the Taco's. Fresh,crispy and flavourful. The beef consomme was clear and full of flavor! Excellent! Even the frys were crispy and the taste was very clean. I went to eat at this little restaurant and the food is meh ok I guess I feel that they give you more lettuce then anything. Don't like the fact that they don't offer re-fills with your fountain drinks. They only have one salsa to offer as well. Dang! I had the tacos and the flautas. These tacos have good taste and fresh ingredients, but what's most noticeable is the crispness of the tacos and flautas. It's THE perfect crisp. Not overcrowd to death, swimming in grease and not left undone or soggy. It's crisp and delicious. I imagine they took the time to perfect it because each taco and flauta was the same. The salsa that accompanied it was good and they have an assortment aguas frescas...I had the horchata. I definitely recommend it...unless you're a fan of lame food. read more

Amazing place! I wish I knew this place existed before they moved to 8th street. It's near Food City now. Food is so affordable and filling! The potato flautas are the best, especially when they're swimming in the salsa. You can have a great meal and not spend more than $5. I recommend to all my friends! Great family restaurant with authentic tasting, healthy Mexican food. We were driving through Yuma and decided to stop for lunch. arrived just before the lunch rush and were seated and ordered within a couple minutes. My son got the potato flautas and I had a beef taco and tostada. We had a lemonade and cucumber drink as well. The food was all around outstanding, not oily or heavy like Americanized Mexican food sometimes can be. Service staff were friendly and efficient. Restaurant was clean, in good shape, and seating was appropriately distanced. Staff all had masks and the cash register was properly protected with plexiglass and hand sanitizer. They recently added rolled tacos to the menu and they delivered, by far the best in town they actually have flavor to them not just salt. So basically everything is great here. When we first started coming here, it was for the sopes. They were a good size and delicious so I always had 2. My husband loves the tostadas. But in our last visits we have noticed that the sopes are super small and so are the tostadas. What happened? You kept us coming back for the great food and now the items are reduced in size.
