We arrived for breakfast shortly after landing from the airport and were all impressed by the food quality, portions, and overall service from the establishment. I ordered the Big Breakfast and substituted the pancakes for French Toast (an additional $2). Absolutely was a delicious meal and packed the punch for two people. I ate the whole meal solo but we had a couple in the group who split it amongst themselves and were full from it. The Cold Brew with cold foam was a treat and I was impressed by the experience. Always a great experience coming here. The waitress is always nice and very attentive! Everytime I come I get the pancakes and omelets. Today I tried the waffle platter and I have no words. Absolutely perfection on the country potatoes. Nice and crispy on the outside with a fluffy inside. Eggs were over medium (so I can dip the sausage and waffles into the egg). The waffles were picture perfect! Had a clean scoop of butter that looked very close to ice cream. Waffles had a good crunchy exterior. Super soft interior. We are here to visit my brother and the joke is that we prefer Big Biscuit over him...NOT this time. We ordered take out! They left out one of our meals. The hash browns weren't burnt but they crumbled when we tried to eat them. The biscuit gravy was a milky color....maybe added more liquid than needed. Just tried to stop in for lunch. The restaurant was not busy. I was alone, so I chose to sit at the bar. The same two employees walked past me multiple times over the course of 10 minutes with no interaction. Multiple groups were sat at tables while I waited. One of them finally said someone would be with me shortly. At that point, I decided I would get better service somewhere else and left. Disappointing. We introduced our son -- from St. Louis -- to Big Biscuit at this location today. He bragged about how much he could eat until received his breakfast this morning; he was impressed. Though my wife and I have eaten here on a number of occasions, we too were impressed with our server, Lacie, on this particular occasion. She is delightful, cheerful, knowledgeable and efficient. The biscuit was actually the highlight of the meal. It was a moist and tasty biscuit. I had the chicken fried chicken and eggs and the chicken was more breading than chicken with a dry, jerky-like thin chicken on the inside. The hash browns were a bit greasy. The country gravy was good, but I've had better. My husband had the kitchen sink scramble. It was very dense and heavy. It had a ton of meat so if you are looking for a protein rich breakfast, it's a good option. The main downside of this meal was the lack of seasoning/flavor. Glad I found this place. Some of the best biscuits I've ever tasted. Not the usual dry tasteless biscuit. These were large and moist and I loved the gravy. I was surprised that the chicken had some seasoning. Maybe it's a California thing , but all too often if you order chicken and waffles they bring a breast that although fried, it lacks flavor and is obviously not seasoned.
