Very small, but busy shop above the Mariner Market with good selection of Birkenstocks. The one staff who was there worked hard to serve the dozen or so people who came and went when I was selecting my sandals. Anyone would be frazzled being on their own with so many people. Have been shopping here for 22 years and consistently receive wonderful, attentive customer service while shopping in a dedicated Birkenstock store that carries the newest styles and colors plus the classics. Having never worn Birkenstock's before moving to Portland from NJ, a friend took me here when I was having issues with planter fasciitis. At first I resisted not wanting to go full Oregonian and wear Birkenstock's with socks! Such a stereotype! Haha. But reality is, you don't need the socks and the sandals are so darn comfortable and overtime, they conform to your feet. I'm also not a fan of any sandal that looks huge and clunky so I was delighted to find several styles that have thin straps and are, dare I say, feminine. Yep, surprised me, too! Well 22 years later, Birkenstock's are still my warm weather sandal of choice, the one I wear everyday back and forth to the gym, while running errands, and even when wearing a sundress and going out somewhere nice for HH or dinner. I've bought new pairs of the same sandal but I have to say, these sandals do last for years. Located right on S. Hemlock on the southern end town where the majority of restaurants and shops are, near the Post Office. I stop by at least once or twice a year. read more

Please don't be misled by those bad reviews. It is a legit Birkenstock store where you can find varieties of collections and few other different brands as well. I also see some bad reviews about worker's attitude and business hours. Well...I am from LA and the lady was way nicer than people from LA and the store was open when I went it around 11AM. People in nowadays are so sensitive and think they should be treated like they are some sort of royal family! Or maybe it is NW people who are so sensitive on everything and are too soft? Anyways...this place is awesome! Pros 1. Varieties of collections 2. Location - Located in heart of Cannon Beach downtown (?) 3. They actually have varieties of sizes as well. Cons 1. Small (only bad during this pandemic era because you cannot practice the social distance rule) 2. Store hours (I think they only open from 10AM-4pm. Do not spend your money here. I've purchased Birkenstocks here for years because I feel it is important to support local Cannon Beach businesses. Today I purchased a pair of Birkenstock Eva's, asking the clerk for a pair of 38 regulars. When I got home and tried them on they felt "off". Upon checking the sizing, I found I had been sold a pair of 38 narrow. Within three hours of the purchase I returned to the store and spoke to the same clerk, explaining I'd been sold the wrong size. She asked if I'd worn the shoe outside the store. Uh yes, tried them on at home to find out I'd been sold the wrong size. The clerk informed me that "shoes worn outside the store cannot be returned". Even when I was sold the wrong size... When I went to the store's website to contact management, the "contact us" banner leads to an "coming soon" page. I've come here twice to find it closed during normal business hours, no sign on the door, just mysteriously closed. It's quite a drive me me so it's disappointing and inconvenient each time. I have bought one pair of Arizona's here in the past. Service was ok, for me. I see others say it was awful. I wouldn't say it was exceptional, but nothing to complain about as far as that goes. I was prepared to drop $150. Immediately After coming in the store since I wanted another pair of sandles exactly like I was wearing. Easy customer, but wanted to confirm they were the same sandal and the clerk was so rude just staring blankly back at me when I asked questions then giving me rude answers. I left she was so rude. After going over in my mind our interaction I check this store's review and I'm not the only one who no doubt encountered this same person. I purchased shoes here, wore them to my car and immediately took them off they were so uncomfortable. I brought them back to return them with a receipt and she told me she could not take them. In the entryway, there was a little chain over to get upstairs to the store. I was confused as I got there but the lady walked up and rudely said "open the chain." First time to Cannon Beach and wanted to look at a new sandal Birkenstock released. Let's just say- don't waste your time entering this place. From the weird chain at the bottom of the stairs, then the odd smell, to the not so friendly brunette worker glaring down the stairs with her eyes that can pierce you like a dagger. She is not around to help you at all. She is rude and barely wanting to assist you. Don't ask about a sandal, because her tone, the pointing like you are stupid you couldn't find the one sandal you were looking for, let alone they had ONE size of it. Very limited inventory, unless she was just saying that because she is lazy a/f. I would think with Covid19 she would be grateful even working and having a job, but nope. A nice selection of classic and trendy styles of Birkenstocks but they also carry other european shoe brands. It's a very small store with lots of stock and lots of sale items of all the brands they carry, you can find a really good discount on high end comfortable shoes if you're the right size. Ended up with a classic pair of Arizonas but with the softbed option that didn't exist when I was in high school. The young lady there was very pleasant and helpful and didn't make me feel like I was putting her out as I asked for many shoes and sizes and styles to try on. Then she gave me an unsolicited discount cos she said my husband and I were "cool". Sweet! Worth a stop in just to see what the sales racks hold. Doesn't seem ADA accessible though... But I could be wrong. The little shop is up a flight of stairs. If you need your birks repaired, they can refer you. read more

She stormed over to grab the right size and basically threw the boxes at us. We were left on our own to find the right shoes in the already busy store as she sat on her phone behind the counter.
