I remember seeing the sign going up for Biscuit Bar and swearing we would be there opening day. I'm not sure what happened or why it took so long but it was worth the wait. The biscuits are absolute perfection. This coming from a bread connoisseur. I love the combinations. There are many sweet and savory options. We had the bacon, egg + cheese, the Hoss (which is a best seller), and the chicken & not-a-waffle. By far, our table's favorite was the chicken and not-a-waffle. The bread was soft and moist. The chicken was juicy. It was fantastic! What wasn't fantastic was the Holiday Style sweet potato tots. We couldn't pin point if it was the tots or brown sugar but after we each tried one, we had to toss. Completely dissatisfied. The only other disappointment was how small the inside is. We dined on Sunday, early afternoon, and it was packed. We had to sit outside, which was also extremely crowded. There was a high table along a built-in bench you had to step up to sit down at. Besides how uncomfortable it was sitting on a painted wooden bench in 100 degree weather with no cushion, was that the table couldn't move closer to the bench (due to the step) so there was a huge gap that caused you to sit on the edge and lean the entire time. Not ideal for adults, much less children. The patio is covered and there are fans outside so that definitely helped. Overall, everything was great. Everything really is better on a biscuit!.....especially when the biscuit is light, fluffy, and buttery. I arrived around 10:30AM on a Saturday, so the line of customers was outside the door, but they keep that line moving. They must be used to large crowds, because service was "smiley professional." Even though this Granite Park location was packed, the young lady who took my order took the time to answer my questions. Yelpers always have plenty of relevant inquiries. I got "The F.A.B.B." - fig preserves, arugula, Brie, and bacon. Awww yeah! I also got sweet potato tots and a Tito's on tap mixed with lemon berry Acai soda. All parts of this meal were top notch. Nothing was disappointing. My breakfast Sammie was perfectly balanced, the tots were hot & crispy, and my cocktail was pleasantly strong. The soda did not make it too sweet. Most people were sitting at tables immediately outside the restaurant and along the boardwalk, so I was miraculously able to find a seat inside. The restroom was clean and all employees that I interacted with were nice. My only regret about this spot is that they don't have a Fort Worth location - I should snatch a star for that sad fact. Decided to give The Biscuit Bar a try one Sunday afternoon & it didn't disappoint. Biscuit Bar is located in beautiful area right off 121 in The Boardwalk at Granite Park. They have outside seating which is nice when the sun is out & you want to see all the action going on. I ordered their Wobbly Arnold -- rye whiskey, lemonade and southern tea. The drink was good & had a nice little kick to it. Next was their Fancy Chicken Biscuit-- southern fried chicken (so moist), dill pickles & their house sauce. The wait was quite a bit so I was worried about the food coming out cold but it actually came out fresh & hot so that was a plus. Would I recommend it? the sausage gravy biscuit was disappointing. one biscuit, split and barely covered with a darkish gravy. sausage pieces were the size of pepper. The menu pictures show one biscuit smothered under a mound of creamy sausage gravy. It doesn't compare, and really sad next to my egg and bacon biscuit. The Hot Hot Chicken biscuit was actually not not. I am a lover of all things spicy and I'll admit I have a high tolerance for spice but the Hot Hot Chicken biscuit didn't have the slightest kick. The Hot Hot Chicken biscuit is definitely not a testament to how Southerners can handle their spice. Once you took a bite you could see that there was not much actual chicken. The piece of chicken covered by the batter was pretty thin and the batter made the fried chicken look bigger than it actually was. I was expecting a juicy piece of fried chicken but was kinda disappointed. It definitely had a tang to it and was fried well but unfortunately I'd much rather have Chick-fil-A's spicy chicken. The biscuits are good though. They are made fresh in-house so I definitely appreciate that. So I took a couple of days to write this review because I try to avoid giving 3 stars but there is truly nothing special about this place other than it specializes in biscuits and tater tots and serves alcohol. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't check it out especially if you like alcohol, biscuits, and tater tots. It's on the boardwalk and has a great outdoor area. It would be perfect for a Saturday chill session to people watch or a spring outdoor snack session. The inside is super clean and well maintained. They have menus outside so be sure to get one because the board inside can be hard to read for those with poorer eyesight. The service was subpar. The gentlemen at the cash register never greeted us as he was too busy talking with his co-worker and when we were ready to order just kind of stared at us. Heck, I had more personality than he displayed. The food was good. I got the Hoss biscuit and the chicken patty was on the thinner end but was cooked well and not too dry. They could probably do with a tablespoon more gravy for how dry the biscuit is. I know biscuits are dry. But I'm from the south we're we love our gravy so that's why it needed more gravy. It was also a little too salty for my liking. I couldn't tell if it was the biscuit (maybe they used salted butter) causing it or the gravy. Perfect Saturday morning breakfast spot. Biscuits are just baked and have a slight crunch to them. The best thing.. was them tater tots. We got them with queso on top. Man. I originally heard about the Biscuit Bar from some friends. But it wasn't until I heard Janie call into Dave Ramsey's podcast, my wife and I decided to check it out. We stopped by the Boardwalk location on 8/12. The location was pretty busy at 11 am. Most of the tables inside were taken and several large parties were taking up the outdoor seating, with that said we easily found a spot at the bar. We ordered the HOSS and the BBAR Biscuits (secret menu) as well as the taco-style tater tots and the biscuit nuggets. The HOSS was by far my favorite. The tater tots were great as well. I did find the nuggets a little overcooked and lacking for the end of a meal. HUGE shout out to Nicholas (Supervisor) who made it his mission to make us feel welcome, give recommendations, take our orders, sign us up for rewards, and get us some dessert on the house. The other staff members were nice as well. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and will be returning for the food and great customer service. read more

So I've had the opportunity to visit both locations in Coppell and Plano, while the Plano has a better view they both offer great food. The dishes are small, simple, and delicious. I was looking at the menu as this was my first time here and he responded short and impatient with me. When I went up and said, "sorry this our first time here and its a big menu," he wasn't helpful and ignored my statement and just stared at me and said what are you getting. If they had a table where you could actually put food and drinks on it would be better but it seems like wasted space where tables could be. Lining up next to silver bar to read a tiny print, chalk written, smudged menu before stepping up to cashier to place order. Bring your binoculars or magnifying glass if you don't have perfect 20/20 vision. 2. Outside of beer and bar drinks the options are only soda (no way, I am not drinking that), unsweet tea(yuck) coffee or water. No sweet tea, no lemonade.
