Had a lovely lunch today with my cousin, whom I hadn't seen in a few years. We are both talkers, and even though we were seated a good 30 minutes before ordering, we never once felt rushed, which is exactly why we chose this place. The food was excellent! We had the fig, prosciutto and hot honey pizza and shared a Caesar salad. Delish! It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. Our server was fantastic and didn't seem to mind at all that we camped out after finishing our meal. He gave us the freedom to sit, visit and catch up for 3 1/2 hours! Everything was GREAT! From the ambiance and hostess to the servers and, of course, the food everything was a delight! The menu is on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you. The selection is thoughtfully curated, with robust flavors and quality ingredients. I ordered the Wood Grilled Shrimp, a House Salad with added Salmon, a glass of Moscato, and a slice of Cheesecake for dessert. My entire ticket was under $80 which I thought was a great value for the quality and experience! And I have to give a special shoutout to my waiter, CJ! He was such a delight and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and the flavors. One thing I've noticed at many restaurants is that the waitstaff sometimes doesn't seem to actually eat where they work , so I really appreciate when a server can genuinely speak on the food and make recommendations with confidence. We had an 8:15 p.m. reservation for a party of seven to celebrate our niece's 21st birthday. Our entire party arrived at approximately 7:45 p.m. and checked in with the host stand. We fully understood that we were early and were told that we had been checked in and that our table would be ready closer to our reservation time. We had absolutely no issue with that. While waiting, we found an area near the bar and ordered appetizers and drinks, spending close to $300 before we were ever seated for dinner. At approximately 8:20 p.m., after our reservation time had passed and we had received no update, we approached the host stand to make sure they knew we were still waiting. We were told that they were waiting for seats to become available and that we would be seated soon. At 8:30 p.m., we were still waiting. When we approached the host stand again, the response was noticeably less courteous. We were told that they could not ask people to leave their tables and that we would be seated when they could accommodate us. At some point during this exchange, we were also told that once we were eventually seated, they would provide us with complimentary appetizers. I want to be very clear: this was never about receiving free food or having something taken off our bill. We had already spent close to $300 on drinks and appetizers while waiting. I neither wanted nor needed complimentary appetizers. What I wanted was for our reservation to be honored within a reasonable amount of time--or, at the very least, for someone to communicate honestly with us, acknowledge the problem, and treat our family with respect. Offering free appetizers did nothing to address the actual issue. By approximately 8:35 p.m.--20 minutes after our reservation time and nearly 50 minutes after we initially checked in--it was apparent that there was no urgency to seat us and, more importantly, no meaningful communication about when we could expect to be seated. At that point, General Manager Landry became involved. Unfortunately, rather than attempting to de-escalate the situation or offer any reasonable solution, his attitude made an already frustrating situation substantially worse. When I reminded him that we had an 8:15 reservation and asked when we could realistically expect to be seated, he again told us that we would be seated when they could seat us. I explained that our party included a pregnant mother-to-be who had not eaten and was beginning to feel unwell, as well as a young child. There was no apparent concern or effort to accommodate the situation. When I pressed him for a more specific timeframe, Landry responded that "it's just a reservation." That statement was astonishing to me. A reservation is a commitment made between a restaurant and its customer. I certainly understand that restaurants run behind and that unexpected circumstances occur. What I do not understand is a General Manager dismissing a customer's reservation as though it carries no significance whatsoever. I asked Landry what Sixty Vines' policy would be if I had arrived 30 minutes late for my reservation. Instead of addressing the obvious point behind the question, he accused me of being "aggressive" and informed me that, if he wanted to, he could simply ask our party to leave. That response was completely inappropriate. Rather than acknowledging that his restaurant had failed to honor our reservation, apologizing for the delay, or attempting to find a solution, the General Manager chose to threaten to remove a family that had been patiently waiting and had already spent nearly $300 at the restaurant. A few minutes later, Landry walked past our group and visibly shook his head at us. It was dismissive, disrespectful, and entirely unbecoming of someone entrusted with managing a restaurant and representing the Sixty Vines brand. Ironically, the person who demonstrated the most professionalism and empathy that evening was the young server who had been taking care of us near the bar. She observed what was happening, approached us on her own, apologized for the situation, and asked whether there was anything she could do to help. Her response stood in stark contrast to that of the General Manager. By this point, we had closed our tab. The pregnant member of our party had become so unwell while we waited that she actually vomited. We informed Landry of what had happened, and again there appeared to be little concern. His primary focus remained his assertion that we had "yelled" at him. To be clear, customers who have waited well beyond their reservation time, received virtually no meaningful communication, and then been told by the General Manager that "it's just a reservation" are understandably going to become frustrated. A capable General Manager should know how to manage that frustration professionally rather than escalating the situation and threatening to remove the customers. Ultimately, we left without ever having the birthday dinner. read more

Stopped by Sixty Vines for brunch and it didn't disappoint. When you arrive there is plenty of parking around the restaurant. Walking in you'll feel like you've been transported to a bright and open California wine bar. To be seated you'll check in with the host and then be shown to your table. For food we started with the Brussel sprouts (crispy fried, kung pao vinaigrette, scallions, toasted sesame seeds, cashews) which had a hint of spice and were excellent. For entrees my partner ordered the shrimp and avocado cobb salad (avocado, hard-boiled egg, grape tomatoes, watermelon radish, buttermilk chive dressing) which was so good and the dressing could literally go on anything. For my entree I ordered the brunch pizza which I believe has since been taken off the menu but was excellent. For dessert you'll definitely want to order the Deviled Affogato (devil's food cake, vanilla ice cream, coffee caramel, nitro cold brew coffee shot). We're new to the area and choose Sixty Vines for brunch because of the solid reviews. The space itself is large, open, and bright without feeling sterile. It was super busy when we arrived, but we were seated right away. A team member came by with water, and after a few minutes, our server took our order. The NA blackberry sage and soda was refreshing, and we enjoyed the gluten free bacon wrapped dates. My son fancies this place, and I think that says something about Sixty Vines. It has become one of those places he chooses when he wants a little comfort. One day he looked at me and said, "You know what would make me feel better? Let's get a bruschetta at Sixty Vines." Hard to argue with that kind of therapy. I remember when Sixty Vines first opened on the Tollway. The whole wine-on-tap concept and that impressive draft wine cooler were some of the hottest tickets in town. It reminded me of years earlier when cold sake on draft at The Blue Fish on Frankford was something everyone seemed to be talking about. There is always that one new idea that suddenly makes going out feel a little more interesting. For whatever reason, I've only been to Sixty Vines a handful of times over the years. Not because I didn't enjoy it -- it just never became part of my regular rotation. Now my son is changing that. There's something pretty cool about watching a place you remember as new and trendy become a favorite of the next generation. Apparently Sixty Vines still has it. And according to my son, when life isn't going quite right, a good bruschetta there can make things a little better. I'm glad the new generation is giving them some well-deserved recognition. Came here with a reservation on a Friday night and it took us about 5-10 minutes to get seated. It was extremely crowded so I'm glad we made a reservation. We ordered the truffle fries which was absolutely delicious! The size of the fries was honestly comical, I couldn't stop laughing, but I loved it. The cream dip it came with was so good too. I loved the fig and prosciutto pizza, it was so unique and sweet! We ordered a charcuterie board with the help of our server since we don't know anything about meat and cheese and she made great recommendations. I like that it came with bread, nuts, and honey. However, being charged $12 to add shrimp to a $15 entree is simply nothing less than a scam, and because of that, a 2 feels more indicative of our experience. I used to love this location, which made tonight's experience especially disappointing. I placed a takeout order through DoorDash, and the app showed that my order was ready for pickup. I went to the bar, where I've picked up orders before, but the bartender didn't even look up or acknowledge me. I then made eye contact with someone at the register who appeared to be a manager. Before I could even say anything, he put his hands up, shook his head "no," and walked away. Eventually, another gentleman came over and asked for my name. He looked through the three tickets on the rack for quite a while, then came back and told me he didn't see my order and that the kitchen was slow. I explained that DoorDash showed the order as ready for pickup. He said he had told the GM, who also simply walked away toward the back. My order eventually came out, but by that point, the issue wasn't even the wait, it was the complete lack of acknowledgment, communication, and basic customer service. I understand that restaurants get busy and kitchens fall behind. What I don't understand is staff acting as though a customer asking about an order is an inconvenience. The overall level of apathy was honestly pretty shocking and extremely disappointing from a location I used to really enjoy. read more

Well it's been 9 long years since I last dined here. I'm so happy to see they are still in business. This visit was overdue and I'm glad I had a chance to come back. I met up with a friend for brunch. It's a great spot for catching up. I suggest making reservations in advance. Service was excellent! My waitress was amazingly helpful, pleasant and polite. I was initially unhappy with my table. She insisted on making me happy and moved me to a better spot. 5 STARS Ambiance is good and the vibe of the restaurant is great. It's like cozy, chic and laid back. The decor works well and feels very welcoming. The simple green plants and neutral colors work well. 4 STARS I can still say my favorite thing here is wine and cocktails. I tried the frozen frose and it was delicious. I loved the fresh fruit and flavors. They put multiple types of berries in it. Presentation was on point. 4 STARS I decided to try the "fancy" BLT sandwich. I looked at the brunch menu and honestly really didn't see anything that I thought I'd like so I decided to get the spicy sausage pizza. I also got the Tequila Fix and the Emily's spicy margarita cocktails. I was disappointed in the pizza. The flavor and taste were ok but the size of sausage on the pizza was so small. It was like the sausage was for a baby. The cocktails were amazing. My favorite was the Tequila Fix. The watermelon, tequila, and lime were simple and perfect. Lots of great things about this place. First off a great Italian smell when you walk in. (Make a reservation to make sure you can get a table right away). The tables are family style- so they can seat up to about 20 people at one table. There were 3 in my party, so we sat at the end of a table and the server took the silver a placements away for the next 2 place settings next to us. They have a bar in front of the kitchen so you can watch the kitchen staff cook - I want to sit there next time I go because I'm a self professed foodie and I enjoy cooking shows and live demonstrations. They also have a long bar to sit at in front of a line of spigots which have maybe beer, wine or margaritas. Not sure what comes out of the taps. There is a beautiful copper or brass wood fire pizza oven. It doubles as a work of art it's so pretty. When I went to the ladies room it was very modern and retro at the same time with old fashioned fixtures and a super modern sink. And they had a rosemary candle lit for the most wonderful smell when you walk into the bathroom. They sell the rosemary candles at the front check in counter. We ordered the beet salad, roasted cauliflower and grilled shrimp from the appetizers and my husband got the Avacado salad with shrimp. I liked the grilled shrimp on oven roasted corn with tomatoes the best. The cauliflower came with hummus and 5 wedges of pita bread. If you like hummus try the roasted cauliflower appetizer. The beet salad looked amazing and my sister said it had citrus sections in it. The restaurant is next to the tollway and there is lots of parking. We were seated in the enclosed greenhouse area next to the fireplace, and even though the fireplace was technically outside the enclosure, it added such a cozy aesthetic to the space. We each ordered mocktails and they were so good -- the Garden Spritz, Blackberry Sage & Soda, and the Oddbird GSM red blend. I had the Garden Spritz and it was refreshing and flavorful. I started off with the emilys spicy jalapeno margarita - it was less on the sweet side and more on the simple spicy side. The margherita pizza was amazing and effective - the dough was fresh. My only regret was I didn't have any else to eat the pizza bones with since the texture was amazing! It has been well over a year since I've been to 60 Vines and like I said last time, it was a reminder of why 60 Vines is one of our favorite spots. Matt V was our waiter and he rocked it! The perfect amount of service and space so we could enjoy our dinner. He kept our waters filled, empty dishes cleared, almost like a Jedi as we barely noticed him slip and out. My hubby and I chose wine flights. A Chardonnay flight for me and a Pinot Noir flight for him. We both really enjoyed trying different wines and found a couple we'd like to come back and enjoy again. We started with the hummus appetizer and it was SO good! I've gotten this as my entree before and it didn't disappoint. My hubby enjoyed his Pork Pappardelle. Being dairy free there are not a lot of yummy options (outside of salad) for me here, but I've ordered the pizzas without cheese before and they were still really good. I chose the Fig & Prosciutto pizza this time. Sadly it was not very good without cheese. The toppings were yummy, but the pizza dough/crust was really tough. It was hard to get a bite without the need to pull or yank. I still ate the pizza and finished leftovers the next day. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here with a few friends after work and we were sat immediately. Fortunately it was still happy hour from (3-6pm) so we took advantage of the $3 off wines. For food, we got a few shared plates that included the bacon wrapped dates, citrus olives, burrata, and brussels. The olives was a nice medley of green and black for those who want some texture mouth feel. My favorite shared bite was definitely the bvacon wrapped dates. For the main dish, I got the filet mignon, which was so good, beefy and tender. Highly recommend this dish. My sister in law and I had dinner here a few Fridays ago. I picked the place but sadly didn't enjoy it. I love wine and wine tastings. I thought it'd be fun to enjoy several in that fashion but in the end felt it was overpriced for what it was and would have preferred to open a nice bottle at home to enjoy. I think the issue with having wine on tap is unless you're flowing through all of it quickly, some tastings are not going to be well represented. The selections are great, I'm familiar with a wide variety of them but have come to realize I don't love the concept and I want a fresh bottle of wine. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. We shared the beets, broccolini (all stalks, quite sad dish) and an underwhelming pizza. The space is so large, it lacks any feeling of comfort or intimacy which I don't care for in a dining experience. All in all, Sixty Vines is clearly very well loved. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer & it was so good! I'm traumatized from childhood over Brussels sprouts so I'm always hesitant to order them but these were vegan & sounded good and they did not disappoint! I wanted to order a BYO wine flight & I told our server what I liked & she did the rest. They were all delicious but make note that the flights are a larger pour than you think! I ended up with 4 regular size wine glasses in front of me and probably about 2 regular glasses of wine instead of the 4 taster portions I assumed I would get. Then we both ordered pizza and I had the vegan mushroom pizza with cashew cheese. The pizza was really delicious and I wish I could've eaten all of it there - it wasn't quite as good reheated the next day (but it was still good). We asked one of the staff if refills were free (couldn't find our waitress). The staff said if it's just regular brewed coffees then they're free. When we got the check, they charged for 4 cups. My husband asked our waitress and she said she's new and needed to speak to the manager. The manager came and adjusted the check. Thirdly, we got the revised check and I noticed the tips were more than the 20% I selected. Even if they calculated after taxes, which they shouldn't, it's still higher than when they charged for the refills. I asked the manager again, and she just handed me the machine and asked me to enter whatever I wanted, so I showed her what 20% should have been and entered it. The steak Fritas is what I had tonight. I do wish they would bring the fresh Ricotta back and the Raditoui Primavera and just add some chicken for some protein. Those are my favorites! I heard they did away with the Raditoui Primavera because it was not expensive enough. They could just add some other things to it to make it more $. Brussels are also a favorite here too and of course we had that for our appetizer Fig & Prosciutto Pizza is another favorite. My youngest had that my middle daughter had the Pan Roasted Chicken & her.bf had a cheese board for his meal. All in all it is a good place to eat, they should just bring the fan favorites back! We started with drinks, and I went with The Bright Side mocktail. Light, citrus-forward, and refreshingly balanced, it set the tone for the evening perfectly. My friend ordered the Tequila Fix cocktail, which she described as crisp and smooth with just the right amount of kick. The harissa shrimp appetizer was a standout. Each piece was large, juicy, and packed with bold, smoky flavor that felt both comforting and exciting. For the second round of drinks, I tried their new summer mocktail, the Blackberry Sage Soda. It was a creative blend--herbal, sweet, and effervescent. My friend ordered The Bee Keep, which she absolutely loved for its subtle sweetness and layered profile. Dinner was equally satisfying. I opted for the vegan mushroom pizza, which was hearty and full of umami--definitely a treat for plant-based diners. My friend kept it light with the Caesar salad, and even that was elevated beyond the typical. We wrapped things up with the Basque cheesecake, and it was truly the perfect finale. Creamy, slightly caramelized, and not overly sweet, it checked every box. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and every part of the experience felt intentionally crafted. I loved so much about this spot, the inclusivity with mocktail options as well as plant based menu items was truly great.
