My partner and I dined here for our weekly date dinner. We had never been, so we ordered the burgers. I got a 1/2 lb beer cheese pub burger and my partner got a mostly regular 1/3 lb burger. The burgers were pretty good, but for the price, they felt they were missing something to balance out the greasy taste, pickles or onion perhaps. On a personal note, I think a 1/2 lb patty is too large and 2 1/4 lb patties would be better, but that is just my opinion so I won't hold it against them. The fries that came with both orders were adequate, but disappointing, especially the "premium" truffle fries. Neither side had much taste, but they had an alright texture. Where this establishment makes up its stars is in the theming and service. The theming is impeccable, if you or someone you know has an interest in Henry Ford and/or early automobilism, they will have a good time here. It is bursting at the seams with props and artifacts. Finally, the service was very good. The restaurant was very busy when we were there, but we were still well attended to and seated quickly. read more

What a fun place! We stopped in to the parking lot about a year ago when we happened to drive by a car show. They had a DeLoreon and the grandkids were with us and they thought it was super cool. Hadn't yet seen "Back to the Future." We met some friends for lunch recently and they suggested this location. I've been wanting to try it, so we were all excited to meet here. Awesome decor and they have Ford details everywhere. The napkins are shop towels held in a hose clamp. Bathrooms have tire sinks, men's restroom has keg urinals, all door handles are gas pump handles. Server attire is a garage uniform shirt complete with a name patch sewn on. Our server, Keira, was very attentive and did an excellent job taking care of us. Hubby and I always split burgers and we ordered the American Standard burger with classic tots. The burger was huge and delicious, complete with Ford's Garage logo on the bun. Tots were served hot and nice and crispy. My only negative was the price- our burger and tots were $15.99! That is priced very high compared to other burger places we frequent. Granted the other places aren't as upscale and rich in decor but $$ so pricy! Some of the other burgers were over $20! It was good that it included a side but still, a little too pricy for me. I'd come back again if I run into some extra money in my dining budget. read more

The ambiance of this place gives it pretty solid points. I got a roadster burger and I was pretty glad I did, considering it was a THICK burger. Very hard to cut/eat which loses it a bit of points. The garlic aioli on it was very good and the burger was cooked well. I subbed for truffle fries and was disappointed when it didn't come with the normal truffle sauce that tends to come with truffle fries and thus the fries were just okay and not worth the upcharge. Overall, still a better burger than like fast food places or even like five guys, but I have a preference to the local place Kenny's over this. Service was great despite the busy nature. We REALLY wanted to like this place. They get 5+ stars for ambiance, but service was a bit lackluster (3 stars) and the food not as good as we hoped (3 stars). My wife had the chicken tenders with coleslaw. The tenders were small and very average. I had the "burnt ends" brisket sandwich and fries. The sandwich was very greasy, but the fries were delicious. This sandwich screams for the brioche bread instead of butter-toasted (more grease) white bread to cut (soak) some of the juices up, and the bbq sauce covers up most of the beef flavor (which was good), so less is more. I am at an impasse with this one, not because of the Restaurant, not at all, I am just a not a big Ford Fan. I appreciate all of the accomplishments Ford has brought us but this is not the place for that discussion. ( Go Chevy ). I was introduced to the Original Ford's Garage Restaurant in Fort Myers Florida and visited many other locations as well, all with the same atmosphere, service, and perfect food! Service is on point, menu items and prices are like the Ford product itself, good quality, perfect portions and priced affordable for the people. We had just gotten into town from traveling in from out of state and were starving. This location is not too far from where we are staying so we decided to check it out. We received it right away and it was still fairly quiet as it was very early in the afternoon Our server greeted us promptly after being seated and got our beverage order put in right away. She was very attentive and gave us a time to look over the menu and determine what it was that we wanted. Because it was 3:30 in the afternoon, I opted for their midday meal, which are smaller portions than some of their larger dinner time meals. I just decided to go with the Thai chicken salad , but ask for the sauce on the side. I'm so glad I did! While the sauce is delicious, the ramekin that they gave me was huge. But the pickles they used tasted funny, and the wasabi sauce was really not edible The salad seems like a bowl of iceberg lettuce with some toppings. Several years ago, I visited the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. This restaurant is more suited to be inside that museum. After verbally confirming my Sam Adams Summer Ale with one of the two bartenders, she forgot about my beer. After a while, the other female bartender asked if I needed anything. I told her that I was waiting for my beer. She left and returned with it, taking my order, the Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends Melt. When she confirmed if I wanted fries, I assumed that was the standard side. Later, I discovered that the sandwiches come with kettle chips. Not sure why she pushed the fries. The sandwich was not overly messy. The white toast held firm, and neither half fell apart. The brisket was moist, tender, and bite size. I enjoyed the combination of the BBQ sauce and bacon jam. This visit was not as good. The RIBS were awful. I think the worst RIBS I have ever had in my life. They were dry, hard and barely no meat. I had packed them up to go because had I ate them there I would have sent them back. These weren't fit for a dog. I was truly disappointed. The chicken wings were good as usual. I enjoyed these and was happy with them. Waitress was pleasant. No complaints on service. The ambiance is always fun and it seems they change things up a bit. Came here yesterday for the 1st time and had the worst experience. I drive past here all the time and just so happened to be in the area so decided to try it for lunch. When we came in we were sat right away the host was nice. When our waitress came over was when everything went left. She was rude right from the start. I honestly was about to ask the manager to sit us in someone else's section and I didnt which I regret! I asked if they had a certain appetizer and she stated in a condescending tone "whatever we have on the menu is all we got" um ok it's my first time here lady it was just a question and I hadn't even looked over the whole menu yet. Then we asked if it was happy hour she said "I don't know I don't know what time it is" do you know anything?? Then we order food it was ok nothing special, we get the tab and notice there was an extra charge for the cocktail. She was rude about that as well and goes to change it and still didn't take the correct amount off for the happy hour price. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. Definitely won't be back! I gave 2 stars because the food wasn't horrible but that lady needs to fix her attitude, I understand having a bad day but don't take it out on the customers that are tipping you. read more

What a pleasant surprise! My husband and I have been trying new restaurants and as usual it's so hard to find a new place to repeat. We think out of 10 new places we are lucky to find one to go back to. What does that say about Dallas restaurants? This place is a gem. The Ford theme is nice and it's fun to see the beautiful old cars. Our server who was an experienced woman with blond hair in an upsweep was the best we've had in a long time. I'm so sorry I don't have her name. We were a party of 7 and she didn't forget a thing and was attentive to refills and requests. The menu is large and diverse but we ended up with 5 burgers and 2 entree salads . Everyone was happy. I got a patty melt that was delicious. Perfectly toasted bread, crusty burger with jammy onions and 1000 island was great. My husband got the blue cheese topped burger and enjoyed but was envious of my melt. Also the fries were really good. Everything was served hot which is a special skill these days. There are several other items I want to try, fish and chips, Asian chicken salad, buffalo chicken sandwich, etc so we already planning our return. My 13 year old has been campaigning for a return visit after visiting with a friend. We attempted Father's Day but so did a lot of other people. (They take reservations but not on Father's Day.) Our second attempt was much better as we were seated upon arrival. The vibe is unique. Lots of attention to details in the decor. If you have a car fan in your family, they will enjoy this experience. The old cars pull lots of interest from the men in our group and shock from the kids. Very bar meets garage but it was also was clean. Bathrooms included! We hit a road bump with our waitress. We mentioned it was our first time and wanted to get recommendations and feedback, this seemed to annoy her. She didn't drink so no recs for choosing drinks. I went with a berry mule. It was so good I had two! After 30 minutes with no attempt at hitting the menu highlights or taking our order, we requested a different server from the hostess. Eric became our server and was the exact opposite! He had lots of opinions and recommendations. Everything we ordered was something I would order again. The onion rings have a fun presentation and were gobbled up. The burnt end grilled cheese was great and big enough to share. Truffle fries were above average. I've been here one other time and the food was amazing. However, I had an experience today that left me dumbfounded. We made our reservation an hour in advance and got there 15 minutes earlier. We were told that we had a 45 minute wait time. After waiting for a while the staff allegedly called us and then cancelled our order. When we went ask about it the lady said that apparently our order was cancelled and that there was nothing she could do, rudely dismissing the situation. I dined at Ford's Garage tonight for the first time with my wife. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. Service started off decently good then plummeted as dinner service progressed. I ordered half a rack of ribs with Mac and Cheese, and my wife ordered the grilled sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and jalapeno cream corn. My ribs had flavor, but it was bland. The bbq sauce I didn't like, because it has a heavy vinegar base. The macaroni in the Mac and Cheese was undercooked. I brought this to my waitress's, Lilly's attention and she did let me swap it out for the included side of mashed potatoes. The Mac and Cheese was an additional cost. My wife said her steak was okay and side were just okay nothing to write home about. She did notice that her steak was larger than an 8 oz center cut sirloin she had ordered. We ate quickly, because we didn't enjoy our meal and this is where service flatlined. Our waitress passed us several times our plates were never picked up. I had to wait about 15 minutes in a slow night for a different person to come and get one of our plates and offer a to go box . Then another 10 minutes or so for the waitress to come back with the check. The check had a 28.99 ribeye instead of the 19.99 8oz center cut sirloin that was ordered. Lilly told us that the ribeye and the center cut sirloin is the same price but she'll go and check. I brought it to her attention and after 15 minutes of discussing this with her manager she came with a receipt that had a $7 discount. This took 15 minutes. There was no apology and 28.99-19.99 equals $9 not $7! This felt like a switch and bait, because Lilly mentioned they were out of sirloin steak later after I pointed out the price difference in the amount. It would have been proper customer service to let us know that instead upgrading us to the more expensive steak and charging us for it without our permission! Lilly only apologized when I brought the price difference to her attention by pulling up the cost on my phone from their menu. She also charged me for the Macaroni and Cheese I took one bite off because the macaroni was undercooked. It was removed but the price was left on the receipt. I couldn't afford another 15 minutes to get the remaining $4 they overcharged me. Needless to say I won't be back, but I hope anyone else has a much better experience! read more
