Then, once I noticed it, I didn't go in because I've had mixed experiences with little breweries like this. Eventually, I finally walked through the door, and I'm writing this review to help you not make the same mistake I did . The first thing you notice is how warm and inviting the place is. Wood tables, fun chairs, great music, and plants. So many plants. It feels like an actual neighborhood hangout. Here's the funny part: I can't stand beer. My wife likes it, but my taste buds won't allow it. I'm also a type 2 diabetic, so a lot of the usual brewery food isn't really an option for me. But the first time we came in, I saw things like Caprese Salad, Italian Salad, Smoked Salmon, and other options that actually work for me. And then I discovered they make their own hard seltzers. Game changer! They always have several fun flavors, and they're unsweetened, which is exactly what I'm looking for. You can also get cans to go if you want to bring some home. You can tell the husband and wife owners have put a lot of love into this place. It's comfortable, welcoming, a little quirky, and they've always been incredibly kind. So if you live around here or just driving through, check it out!

The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

I've been to the Black Diamond in the past and decided to call and in a to-go order, and noticed a lot of noise background - turns out that this establishment has decided to ignore what every other restaurant in our state is abiding by. This behavior in my opinion is not only reckless and self-serving, but is also completely unfair to all the other restaurants who've chosen to comply. I would encourage anyone reading this review to spend their money at other establishments that are complying with public health orders. read more

Why is the lowest you can go 1 star..... I've been there 4 times in the last year and the service would have to get much better to be HORRIBLE. On my latest trip I played pool with a friend for about an hour and 15 minutes... Nobody ever bothered to even say hi to us not the bartender or the waitress. I watched the pregnant waitress aimlessly walk around and talk to a few people but never bothered to serve us. One of the regulars told me the bartender was even part of the owners. Forgot to mention this is the only place I can come to in Spokane Valley for good craft beers. They must have something like 30 beers on tap with some handles that carried monthly to keep things interesting. Always something new to try. If you enjoy good beer you can't pass this place up. Also, they have Karaoke at 9pm on Thursday nights which is always a lot of fun. And the club they started on Sat night (they call it Diamond Nights - clever) is picking up and has a good looking crowd. read more

This restaurant has decided that their profit is more important than human safety and reopened during a pandemic after warnings and citations. Do not support this business or owner Brandon Fenton, do better. Their reasoning is "we would rather work for our money and have our lives free from government control" I guess no one told this inbred about social security or his drivers license. read more

This is the best place in the Valley for my money. Relaxed environment, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. It's not usually too crowded when my wife and I go but we dont stay out very late either. I also stop in for lunch sometimes when I can, the specials are awesome and Tia is absolutely adorable. Great beer selection also. This place seems so much better than a lot of the scummy dives in the Valley. It's far and above the best place around. read more
