It was actually the most decorative Christmas bar we went to. And there were so many crazy things hanging around the room creating a really nice atmosphere. They have a pool table, two lanes for bowling, Jenga and other games like that. Over Christmas they had specialty drinks. Mine came in a fishbowl and that sparked a lot of conversation when I walked through the casino with it! The bartenders did not have an abundance of Christmas spirit but maybe they were just tired of looking at all of the crazy elves!

If you complete the puzzles, you can turn it in and can win a prize. The peppermint White Russian was really good and came in a cute glass. The punch bowl drink, something like a snowfall blitz, didn't taste great until we asked the bartender to add sprite/soda water. It was heavy on the elderflower. We got to keep the fishbowl glass and that was actually fun to have the rest of the trip.

The showroom had good seating with great stage view, sound and lights are very good, and staff is very friendly and helpful. This venue hosts alot of tribute bands and other performers as well. We saw The Heart of Rock and Roll (Huey Lewis and the News Tribute) this time. We have seen them here in the past and simply love this group. They do a great job at performing Huey's hits and have great trivia during the show and old videos playing during the shows. You can tell this group of talented singers and musicians really have fun performing on stage. The do a meet and greet after the show. If you love the 80s and Huey, this is a show you have to see. And if you haven't seen a show at the Southpoint Showroom, you got to check out this venue. Parking is also free. We already have to see Shenna Easton around the last weekend of August 2026. We have seen her here in the past and she puts on a great show also, amd of course is still as beautiful as ever. A couple other great tribute bands coming are ForJoury (Foreigner/Journey), Bohemian Queen (Queen), Forever Fab (Beatle) and ABBACADABRA (Abba).

Plenty of parking in the back. When we got to the restaurant, we were told it was fully booked and we needed a reservation. I suggest making a reservation on OpenTable if you plan on dining inside. The hostess told us the back patio will be open at 5pm and it is happy hour all day until close. We only had to wait 15 more minutes. The patio had a Tiki Italian vibe. It was first come first serve. We were the first in line. Our son picked the booth with the most shade. There are misters throughout the patio to help with the heat. The servers were amazing, each one checked on us multiple times. We ordered happy hour pizza & drinks (all half off). And pasta & salad. The portions were perfect for sharing. We even had left over pizza for dinner later. We ordered half Meatlovers & Supreme pizza. Both very delicious with plenty of toppings. The wedge salad was also very good with just enough veggies, bacon & blue cheese dressing. The Shrimp Fra Diavolo was a hit. Just enough big shrimp and the marinara was a little spicy but still savory. The best was dessert crème brûlée. It was just the perfect amount of smooth creamy vanilla custard topped with caramelized sugar. Unfortunately we couldn't stay to hear the band that was setting up, but will definitely be back again!
