Yes, I had to wait a little (as expected), but it was worth it. Rosa, my phlebotomist, was extremely quick, professional, and kind. I'm so thankful for her and the whole Burbank Alameda team--they made the experience smooth and stress-free! Oh, and just a tip--there isn't any front desk staff here. Instead, there are three kiosks where you simply scan your driver's license and upload your insurance. It was extremely easy and made the check-in process very straightforward.

If you have an extra hour or two (or four, five or six!) to get a 5-minute blood draw procedure…read morethen Quest is the place for you! The wait times are simply UNBELIEVABLE. The people who own Quest must be wildly out of touch to think that this kind of dysfunction is appropriate. Here are a few survival tips: 1. Make an appointment. That way you might only maybe wait 1-2 hours. Yes, seriously. 2. Get up and stretch every half hour or your back will ache like hell. 3. Bring water. Whatever you do, do NOT get up and leave to get water and return in 5 minutes because if inexplicably call your name while you're not in the room, you will lose your place in line and .... they.... do ... not ..... care. 4. Bring snacks or be prepared for your blood sugar to take dive in about hour 3 of the marathon wait. 5. Be nice to the poor, overworked, abused staff who are getting hit from all sides. That is if you actually see them. The "reception" desk is closed and you handle checkin courtesy of some ipad looking things at the front. All jokes aside, this is NOT how healthCARE should be. It is so incredibly sad that Quest thinks that their patients have NOTHING BETTER to do and have no concept of CARING for their patients - most of whom are sick, and some are scared and stressed and Quest just adds to the misery. It's shocking they would let a company function like this. Saying that, the staff did their best and with such a horrible working environment, I'm impressed with their decorum. I want to make it crystal clear that the person who took my blood was friendly and efficient. The woman who came out about every 20-30 minutes to explain to everyone they would be there for hours was pleasant enough. It's the whole concept of Quest's customer service that needs a full blown overhaul, not the people. They were doing the best they could under pretty tough circumstances. THIS PLACE IS REALLY OUT OF SYNC WITH THE NOTION OF CARING FOR THEIR PATIENTS. SAD!

Please make an appointment! I made an appointment for Saturday morning and was in and out in 10…read moreminutes. The waiting room was full, which is pretty common at most quests, so if you can make an appointment, PLEASE do it to be safe and save time. Some people come here and will wait all day to be seen but will be turned away because appointments take priority. I've been to many quests but this was by far the most pleasant experience I've ever had. The staff is really friendly and I had my blood drawn by the nicest man. I'll be coming to this location from now on if I ever need a blood test.

I am extremely disappointed with how this Quest Diagnostics location in Burbank handled its patient…read morequeue and, even more concerning, how management responded when I questioned what I was witnessing. I checked in at approximately 9:22 AM as a walk-in and fully understood that patients with scheduled appointments could be prioritized. I was prepared to wait. Approximately 30 minutes after I arrived, a couple came in. The man signed in on behalf of the woman. I personally heard the tall male phlebotomist who was wearing a mask tell him, "Don't worry, I got you." I then watched the woman go from the standby/walk-in list to the regular check-in list with an appointment time of approximately 11:09 AM. She was subsequently taken before me. Later, another man came in with his mother. His mother had an appointment, but he specifically stated that he did not. I again heard the same masked male phlebotomist tell him, "Don't worry, I'll get you in. I got you." He was also accommodated while I continued waiting. I brought my concerns to two different phlebotomists. Both said they would look into what was happening, but neither came back to me with an explanation. I ultimately spoke with the supervisor. She printed out a check-in list and attempted to explain the order of patients to me, but the information she presented did not reconcile with what I had personally observed happening in real time. At one point, I was also told there were two patients ahead of me, even though I knew one of those patients had already left. I do not work at this location, yet I was able to follow what was happening in the waiting room more clearly than the explanation I was being given. To be clear, my complaint is not simply about having to wait. I understand that appointments take priority and that walk-ins may experience significant delays. My concern is watching walk-in patients who arrived after me receive special assistance, including seeing one patient removed from the standby list and placed onto the regular check-in list with an appointment time after a staff member told them, "I got you." If there is a legitimate Quest policy or system function that allows staff to convert walk-in patients into appointment patients after they arrive, management should have been able to clearly explain that. Instead, I received an explanation that did not match what I had personally witnessed. What concerned me most was the lack of transparency and accountability when I raised the issue. Patients should be able to trust that the queue is being managed fairly and consistently, regardless of which staff member they happen to speak with. I strongly encourage Quest Diagnostics to review the electronic check-in and appointment history from this morning, including any changes made to patient status and appointment times. Those records should provide an objective account of what occurred. This experience left me with very little confidence in how this location is being managed or supervised.

This is a medical establishment in a country with a scam health care system and not enough…read moreproviders. It is unpleasant and everyone in there is cranky and tired. The Experience is much more similar to a 5 hour plane ride on a budget airline than visiting the spa. For a lot of people, paying $60 to have a labcorp rep come to your house and take blood is worth it. For the rest of us, this is the life hack: -take a something to distract you like a book, iPad, or headphones. Also a jacket (plane ride) -Expect delays. Remember this is like a budget airline. -wait time is based off of how many people are ahead of you in line. Most people check in and get frustrated when they're told there's a 4 hour wait, so they leave. This means those who stay are seen in 1 hour, since 6 out of 8 people left. So just be patient. Plane will land eventually. -it used to be advised to come when they open. But now, so many people come when they open that if you come when they open you will have to wait 2 hours. If you come in around 8:30 or 9 am, you have a one hour wait time. -best course of action is to make an appointment ahead of time. You can also check other labcorp locations to find a time that works for you. Second best is to check-in online before you arrive. But don't push it by signing in and showing up hours later bc if they call you are you are not there, they will skip you and you lose your turn. (Like missing your flight)

I asked a lot of questions and they kindly answered all of them and explained the difference between a closed MRI & open one. Also the pros and cons to their knowledge. I went for an X-ray and Brian the technician was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable about imaging machines. Also after further conversation, he helped me discover that the MRI I did at a previously location was not correctly done, and it was not the full doctors order. This caused me a big headache for another reason to have to go back and deal with that horrible previous facility. Truly I wish I knew about Burbank MRI first. Highly recommend, and I hope everyone has a good experience like Me. Also .... They have a parking lot!
