    Pork chop!!! To die for
    Ken D.

The service was fantastic.....the food.... Started with the wedge salad, blue cheese....best ever. Main course was the bone in pork chop...by far the best I have ever had. Desert you ask? I had the key lime and my wife had the pecan pie.....again the most incredible deserts ever. This is a "must do" restaraunt in the OBX. There is no way you could be disappointed! Enjoy!

Ambiance - A+++ - we came here at sunset in the offseason. Weather was absolutely perfect and there were many people on the lawn enjoying drinks and the sunset. We sat outside next to the heat lamps and it was cozy. Food - B+ - very good but I wouldn't say it was great. Quality of ingredients was top notch, but my snapper was pretty salty. My husband and kids got the tenderloin. It could've been more flavorful and my husband's medium rare tenderloin was almost well done. Drinks were very good, however. I got the loosey goosey. Tasted similar to a cosmopolitan. My husband got the "One for the road" and it was good as well. A smokier flavor. Service - A - Our waitress was warm, responsive, and the perfect level of attentiveness. This is my third time here. I would definitely come back for the ambiance. I wish the food was more of my taste.

TLDR: Pretty good meal, wished they had a larger menu just for some variety, but wait staff was excellent. I started with a quite interesting drink because I was intrigue when I read "goat cheese vodka".... Goat cheese vodka, strawberry syrup, blanco vermouth... very tasty! You would never know it's goat cheese vodka, just made it taste creamy and smooth. I'd definitely get it again. For an app we had the fried gnocchis which were tasty, but I guess I wished the portion was slightly bigger because it was so good! Our meals were huge though so we left there quite stuffed. My husband had the wild boar special with mushroom and English pea risotto and it was good! I had the shrimp and grits with gravy on top. It was pretty good but not something out-of-this-world. Plus It was such a hot day that I was sweating by the end of it I would order something different if I went back. Our bartender was super friendly and talkative, he knew his stuff. Between my husband and I, we had 3 cocktails, a glass of wine, an appetizer and 2 entrees and our meal came to about $180 with tip. All in all, a good meal!

Very cute spot in Duck with a nice ambiance and beautiful view of the sunset. I tried the Botanical Garden drink, which was a good mix of bitter and floral. It did say there was supposed to be aquafaba on it though and there wasn't any. I tried the bone-in porkchop ($38), which was cooked well and not dry at all. I thought that it was seasoned a bit unevenly though because parts of it were very salty, but the sauce had a nice sweetness to help with that. I thought the bread pudding was really good, which had a subtle Gouda and pecan flavor. It did look like there was a super cute backyard bar right behind the restaurant. There was live music and lots of seats to watch the sunset -- I would definitely want to check that out next time!

Fantastic backdrop for a instagrammable sunset pic. Great service and the food is rock solid as well. We came here following a wild horse tour and I loved that I could plug in my Tesla while we ate. There are 4 spots for charging for free in the parking lot. Although they are slow, it's free and you might as well! Now to the food. I got the pork chop and it was as spectacular. I prefer pork over all other meats and will often order a pork chop if it's on the menu. I know that sounds odd, but honestly the pork chop is unforgiving and has to be a great choice or no one would ever order it. I definitely recommend that pork chop. Our drinks stayed full and it was overall a lovely experience.

We walked in around 7pm on a Wednesday and added our name to a waitlist for an outdoor seat. We grabbed a drink at their back bar and enjoyed the incredible atmosphere: live music and sunset views. Our server was friendly and attentive, she made great recommendations all evening. Around :20 later our table was ready. We got straight into entrees and went with the pork chop and the special: yellowfin tuna steak. Both were excellent. The tuna accoutrements (pineapple, bacon, and soy infused rice) stole the show and were incredibly decadent. The pork chop came with a thick crusty sear that was super flavorful. The thick cut was juicy and a large enough portion that I barely ate half before passing the remainder to my husband to polish off. For dessert we had the pecan pie. More of a tart than a pie, the pecan flavor was exactly what you'd expect with a bourbon ice cream that was a great compliment. The tart (crust?) was hard and a little difficult to cut. The pork chop came with a cheese bread pudding side that was amazing in its own right. Overall we had an amazing experience with a wonderful atmosphere. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a night in Duck.

I ordered the fish special, absolutely delicious! The view of the sunset was perfect.

We came for dinner on a Wednesday night and had a lovely experience. From the hostesses to the busser to our waiter, Tim, all staff were professional and friendly. The atmosphere was top-notch with dimmed down lights and fresh flowers on the table. We got a table by the window overlooking the sound which was wonderful. The food was out of this world of course. We had the burrata and she-crab bisque for starters. For entrees, we enjoyed the tuna special of the evening and the catfish. Dessert was delicious. I had the crème brûlée and my fiancé enjoyed the mixed berry cobbler special. We thought the price was very reasonable for our outstanding food and service. We highly recommend.

We reserved a table at this restaurant at the behest of my best friend's parents. We had heard good things. When I went on Resy to look for the reservation, I only saw options for a high top barstools, except I didn't realize the description of the seat on the website. It seemed like that was the only option. We walk into the restaurant and the last seating was at 8:30, which was around the time we made a reservation. Hours online are incorrect- they do not close at 8:30. We walked inside and we're shown to the bar. The restaurant is practically empty and the bar was full of I presume locals and frequent customers. This would be one of the few places I've been told to reserve for a bar when typically bar is first come first serve. I had asked the hostess if we could be seated at a table as they were plenty tables open- but she said "you reserved a bar, you sit at the bar" I attempted to explain to her how I didn't realize what I reserved and the bar was already a little rowdy at this point, but we were seated at the bar nonetheless. The servers didn't seem to be interested in us as much as the other people at the bar, it took a while to be asked what we would like to order. My friend ordered a Caesar salad and I was ready for my entrée. The server asked me if I wanted them both brought out at the same time, or separately, I said same time - to which she replied to my friend "I'm going to bring out your Caesar salad first before I put in her entrée". She was also talking over me a little bit. I ended up ordering a starter so that my friend and I can eat at the same time....needless to say, the dynamic was a little strange. I told the waitress I was avoiding red meat and she said that was an awful idea. I didn't ask for an opinion on my dietary preference. I ordered the she crab soup which in my opinion was a little sherry heavy, they only have a bowl not a cup option and it is $16 for I would say a bowl that is full 1/4. My friend ordered a Caesar salad. It looked pretty good upon presentation, but she noticed a couple leaves that we're wilted and did not finish completely. We ordered the gnocchi to split. I didn't realize that it had peas in it, but what was the most shocking was the amount of peas and seemed as though there were a handful of delicious gnocchi, mushrooms, onions, over a bed of peas, absolute overkill. At this point, there were some drunk people at the bar to the point that I couldn't fully sit back, they were loud, interrupted our dinner, and started singing sorority chants, as if they were the only ones in the restaurant. The servers didn't say anything and no one came up to them to let them know that they were disturbing the other customers. All in all, I am simply saying that the service here is not great, I would almost say, come here earlier in the day versus later, because by the end of the day, it seemed as though we were a bother versus a customer. The food was not bad, which is why I give it two stars , however it is very expensive for the quantity and just in general it seems as though a lot of items are made in house so that is a plus, however there are so many delicious restaurants in this area that I don't really see myself coming back here out of all the rest.

    Crispy Cornmeal Fried Green Tomatoes
    . ..

A lot of locals recommended this place so gave this place a whirl. Experience was OK. Made a reservation to celebrate a birthday; there was no acknowledgement from the host or waitress which was fine, but seemed weird since Open Table allowed notes to inform the restaurant of such occasions. Oh well. At least we were sat at a table with a gorgeous sunset view. Unfortunately, the view was a bit marred by a thick mesh screen over the window. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. The food was pretty good and slightly elevated to some other places that we went to. Having studied their winelist, which was adequate, we still brought our own wine to pair with their food. The fried green tomatoes were a great way to start the meal. For entrees, tried the gnocchi which was rich. The pork chop was pretty good; I liked the crust and it paired well with the Pinot we brought. The tenderloin was good; very tender and prepared well. We were too stuffed for dessert. We showed up about half an hour prior to our reservation to walk around, which was a highlight and thankfully we did, as the parking lot was packed (would've been difficult to find a spot) when we went to retrieve the wine from the car.

The waiter's demeanor turned cold after this (what I considered innocuous) exchange. Regarding the dishes, everything was beautifully presented and arrived hot and fresh at our table. I would not recommend the fried cauliflower as it was very bland with some chili sauce splashed over top. The scallops were very well prepared however. NC Coast is a nice spot for a special meal, especially with the view. Just hope the service is more consistent with other guests.

My Hendrick's Gin martini was perfect. However, the Brie and Bacon Oysters hid the oysters to the point where I could barely taste them. Again, I had an excellent martini. This time, I ordered the Mahi Grilled Sandwich, which was a Reuben without the corned beef and sauerkraut. That was really wonderful.
