We decided to replace both our AC system and gas furnace (after the furnace died on the morning of the first blizzard!) with new American Standard units, and Gill gave us a very fair and reasonable price. While Warrior may not have had "7 trucks ready to finish the job in one day" like some of the larger companies promised, Gill and his team focused on doing the work the right way -- with care, professionalism, and attention to detail. What really stood out was the customer service. Gill even helped us install and set up a new smart thermostat I had purchased myself. It's rare these days to find contractors who are both skilled and genuinely trustworthy. The very next day the second heating system I had in an addition failed. I was distraught!! Net Zero gave me a great quote..several thousands less than other HVAC. What they did not tell me that they were only electric heating contractors. So after paying $12,000.00 for installation I now pay an electric bill of $1000.00 a month in the winter. They walked by a brand new gas system in my home..disengaged a second gas heating 50 feet away and installed a unit that is costing me a thousand dollars a month. Not one of the employees ...installers. or project estimators...addressed what a poor and unkind decision this was. Now I have to redo my heating system...sell my house...unable to retire . Would they do the same to their mothers..grandmothers? This is a sad and sorry company. Yes I know I'm a stupid elderly woman with no recourse from people like this. The estimate (#435094323) was $30,275 to demo every wall and ceiling necessary, disconnect first- and second-floor bathrooms, toilets and sinks, and replace the main stack. That was presented to me as the only option -- no alternatives, no phasing, nothing. And it did not include the roughly $6,000 I'd need to close the walls back up and reinstall fixtures, or the ~$400 roofer I'd have to hire and coordinate myself. Their own estimate puts the hole repair on the customer in writing. All in: nearly $37,000. Meanwhile my first-floor tenant was told she couldn't use her bathroom or her kitchen. When I hesitated at the number, I was told that at least if I sold the house I'd "have retail value." That's the line that made me stop and get a second opinion. Thompson Plumbing came out, found the actual leak -- old hubbed cast iron serving the kitchen -- and repiped it. $2,995. My final invoice was $3,420, and that included an unrelated frost-free silcock I added on. My toilet was fine. My kitchen sink was fine. My tenant's kitchen and bathroom were fine. Not one wall was demoed. Same house. Same leak. Ten percent of the price. I'm not going to speculate about why the two assessments were so far apart. I'll just say this: if 128 Plumbing tells you your house needs a $30,000 repipe, get a second quote before you sign anything. I nearly didn't, and it would have cost me thirty-three thousand dollars I did not need to spend.

He came out quickly and resolved the issue. As winter came the same HVAC failed again so I had Pedro back out to review. At 35 years old the system really was beyond value to repair and I got a great rate to install a whole new system by Imperium. But this is why I highly rate Imperium Cooling & Heating the most. During the install one of the sub-contracted employees of his doing the job tried to give me a deal on an 'off the books' service to a mini-split system on our attic room. This individual caused damage to the condenser but had me spend hundreds, cash in hand with his trial-and-error attempts to repair the head unit (which was not faulty) and in the end insisted I needed to replace the whole thing (remember, this unscruipulous idiot broke it in the first place). All this happened over weeks while this guy continued working for Imperium and put me at the bottom of his priorities. As luck would have it, there was a small issue with the new HVAC and Perdro came out same day. Great service. So I took this chance to explain what had occurred with one of his guys. Apparently, I am not the only one impacted by this individual and he had been fired by Imperium (quite rightly) and Pedro was doing a lot of damage limitation to the reputation of his company caused by this less than ethical sub-contractor. So, for that reason more than any I highly recommend Imperium Cooling & Heating. They have great rates, put customers first and do not retain employees who seek to damage their reputation. I have had Pedro out on 4 occasions, all great services. The last was replacing the mini-split, done in one day, done well and done at a great price. 5 Stars for sure.
